Abstract

While not yet regulated at the legislative level, traditional medicine therapy has gained legal recognition at the ministerial level through Ministerial Regulation No. 6 of 2016 and No. 37 of 2017. These legal frameworks significantly facilitate scientific exploration for research and practical application of herbal medicine. Promoting such practices is particularly urgent for rural communities that face barriers to accessing modern healthcare services or financial constraints. The community engagement program aimed to introduce medicinal plants growing in situ while reinforcing traditional healing practices already embedded within the local community. Conducted on January 18, 2025, the initiative involved 15 participants, most of whom were women, reflecting inclusive access to educational activities. The core activities comprised lectures and interactive discussions on local biodiversity, medicinal plant identification, cultivation techniques, and traditional herbal processing. Pre- and post-activity evaluations revealed a significant improvement in cognitive knowledge and affective attitudes. The average cognitive scores for topics such as biodiversity awareness and medicinal plant cultivation increased from the "low-moderate" to the "good-excellent" category, while affective scores regarding the perceived benefits of herbal medicine rose from "poor" to "excellent." Abstract

implementing various policies, including the strategy of applying a carbon tax. Although Indonesia has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through carbon tax policies, the implementation of these policies by the Indonesian government has not been optimal due to the lack of specific regulations that detail the carbon tax comprehensively. Therefore, this condition warrants a deeper analysis in this study to review the carbon tax regulations established by the government in an effort to support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The carbon tax in Indonesia is intended to lower greenhouse gas emissions with the aim of addressing global climate change. This tax is regulated through the 2021 Carbon Tax Law and applies to sectors with high emissions such as energy, manufacturing, and transportation, with a rate of Rp30 per kilogram of CO2e. Implementation is being carried out gradually, and the revenue from the tax will be used to fund emission reduction projects and climate change adaptation. Despite facing challenges such as industry resistance and the need for accurate measurement infrastructure, the support of various stakeholders is expected to drive the successful implementation of the carbon tax and transition towards a greener and more sustainable economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of community participation in supporting the achievement of FOLU Net Sink 2030 in Lampung Province. Community participation in Forest and Land Rehabilitation (FLR) is a key factor in efforts to increase carbon stocks and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The research uses a literature review approach. The findings indicate that community participation in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of FLR activities affects the success of these activities. The main findings suggest that active community involvement in selecting economically valuable plant species and in forest area management enhances the success of forest and land rehabilitation, thus supporting the achievement of the FOLU Net Sink 2030 target. This study provides practical contributions by highlighting the importance of community empowerment in forest management policies and ecosystem restoration. Academically, the study enriches the understanding of the relationship between community participation and climate change mitigation, as well as providing a theoretical foundation for more effective policies in the effort to achieve the FOLU Net Sink target, particularly in Lampung Province. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that further studies be conducted to quantitatively examine the relationship between the level of community participation and the success of forest and land rehabilitation (FLR). A more in-depth analysis is also needed to explore the social, economic, and environmental factors that influence the effectiveness of community participation in supporting the achievement of FOLU Net Sink 2030

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic nation, faces complex challenges in achieving its net-zero emission target by 2060. This research analyzes the implementation of Indonesia's new and renewable energy (NRE) policies through a comprehensive literature study approach. Despite having strong legal foundations through Law No. 30/2007 and Government Regulation No. 79/2014, along with ambitious targets of 23% renewable energy by 2025, implementation realization still encounters significant obstacles. National Energy Council data shows that renewable energy share has only reached 15%, far from the established targets. Analysis of three projection scenarios from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources - Business as Usual (BaU), Sustainable Development (SD), and Low Carbon (LC) - indicates that the SD scenario can achieve the 23% target by 2025 and even exceed the 31% target by 2050. Research findings demonstrate that although Indonesia possesses abundant renewable energy resource potential and clear political commitment, strengthening law enforcement, infrastructure investment, and inter-stakeholder coordination are required to realize sustainable energy transition toward net-zero emission.

Abstract

Introduction: Diarrhea in 2019 became the second leading cause of death in children under five. The causes of diarrhoea include infection, malabsorption, and food and are influenced by several factors such as behavioural, nutritional, environmental, and socioeconomic factors. This study aimed to analyze the effect of variables on nutritional status and environmental sanitation on the incidence of diarrhoea in children under five in the South Lampung Regency. Method: This study is survey research with a cross-sectional design and uses binary logistic regression analysis. The samples taken were 380 toddlers aged 6-59 months. Result: 10 of the 21 predictor variables had a significant effect on the 5% significant level of the incidence of diarrhoea, where there were nine predictor variables, including poor/poor nutritional status, history of exclusive breastfeeding, clean water sources from BOR wells, clean water sources from PDAM. mountain spring drinking water sources, latrine facilities, septic tank facilities, managed waste management, and the floor of a ceramic house can reduce the incidence of diarrhea with odds ratio and [p=] values of 0.06[0.000], 0.33[0.017], 0.01[0.0000], 0.02[0.000], 0.02[0.004], 0.04[0.000], 0.01[0.025], 0.02[0.001], and 0.10[0.000]. Toddlers living in noncoastal areas have a 1.08 times higher chance of experiencing diarrhoea than coastal areas. In contrast, one variable, namely the age of toddlers, can increase the susceptibility to diarrhoea in toddlers with the odds ratio and [p=] values of 1.04 [0.007, respectively. Conclusion: This study shows that the influence of nutritional status variables and environmental sanitation has a great possibility to reduce the incidence of diarrhoea in children under five, namely in the group of nutritional status variables, including poor/poor nutritional status, age of toddlers, and history of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Perception is an essential factor influencing attitudes and behavior toward the forestry partnership program. Apart from that, a person’s perception can positively or negatively impact the program. The forestry partnerships program is a policy that is the basis of a community empowerment program that provides legal access for local communities to meet the needs of non-timber forest products originating from the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBSNP) area. The research was conducted to identify the role of partnership members’ perceptions as a mediating variable in achieving goals and obtaining benefits as partnership members in the Semaka Region I National Park Management Sector, BBSNP. Data was collected using a questionnaire, and hypothesis testing was performed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model statistical analysis using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results showed that perception does not play a mediating variable in achieving goals and obtaining benefits as a member of the partnership. The community benefits from the forestry partnership program if they become members even without having a positive perception of the program. Thus, it is possible that they will not commit properly because the important thing is that they have become members because it will be secure and no longer be considered as an encroachment. This means that it is legal access that makes people want to become members of the partnership. So, to increase positive perceptions and ensure the program’s goal is achieved, namely preserving forests and ensuring the fulfillment of people’s lives, it is necessary to increase the intensity of activities that influence people’s perceptions, for example, socialization, mentoring, and coaching. Abstract

ABSTRACT In the JKN-KIS Program, FKTP acts as a gate keeper where FKTP is responsible for providing basic health services and functioning optimally according to its competency standards. The unequal availability of health facilities and very varied geographical conditions give rise to the potential for widening inequality in health utilization. The Human Development Index (HDI) is an important indicator for measuring success in efforts to build the quality of human life (society/population), one of the elements that make up the HDI is health. Good health is supported by health facilities and good environmental health conditions so that it can reduce environmental-based morbidity rates, so that people are able to carry out productive activities. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal design which aims to explain how the FKTP variable influences changes in mediating variables, namely environmental health and morbidity and its influence on HDI. The research was conducted in the Lampung Province area. The data source used is secondary data from BPS (Central Statistics Agency) Lampung Province and the Lampung Province Health Service for 2018-2022. The data analysis method in this research uses a path analysis model to analyze the pattern of relationships between variables. Based on the research results, there is a significant influence of FKTP on environmental health and environmental-based disease morbidity, and there is a significant influence of FKTP, environmental health and environmental-based disease morbidity on HDI in Lampung Province. Meanwhile, there is no influence of environmental health on environmental-based disease morbidity. Thus, efforts to increase the HDI in Lampung Province as a measure of community welfare can be pursued by carrying out interventions to increase FKTP, environmental health and environmental-based disease control in a representative manner, where FKTP becomes central in health efforts in the region, so that a healthy community will be able to maximum productivity to improve their welfare. Keywords: FKTP, Environmental Health, Morbidity, IPM   ABSTRAK Dalam Program Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (yang disebut bJKN-KIS), fasilitas Kesehatan tingkat pertama (FKTP) berperan sebagai gate keeper dimana FKTP bertanggungjawab sebagai pemberi pelayanan kesehatan dasar serta berfungsi optimal sesuai standar kompetensinya.

Abstract

The conservation partnership is one of the government's efforts to harmonize the ecological, social and economic benefits of forests. This study aims to examine the factors supporting and inhibiting conservation partnerships in the Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected by means of in-depth interviews and observations. The data obtained were then analyzed to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of conservation partnerships. The results show that the supporting factors for conservation partnerships in Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park are clear regulations, provision of productive seeds, sources of community income, diversification of non-timber forest products, improvement of community welfare, adequate capacity of human resources from managers. good. The inhibiting factors are low public understanding, lack of public trust, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, limited number of human resources from managers, lack of financial support from the government. It is necessary to carry out the intensity of socialization and assistance carried out by the manager of the Wan Abdul Rachman Grand Forest Park to the community in a sustainable manner aimed at increasing public understanding regarding conservation partnerships. Communities who have not partnered are expected to take the opportunity to enter into a cooperation agreement before there is a change in policy in the conservation area.
