Abstract

The data storage system is designed to keep data neatly and safely stored and conveniently accessible when needed. Teachers were not used to utilizing Google Drive and instead saved material on cellphones, which clogged storage and made it difficult to access files when they were needed. Data was frequently left behind since it was saved on a separate flash drive or laptop. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) is an activity that intends to deliver knowledge training on Google Drive cloud storage technology as an alternative to the online storage medium. Tanjung Balai 4 SMKN was involved as a PkM partner in the activity, which focused on introducing and training in using Google Drive.  Among the tactics employed is teaching instructors about the characteristics and benefits of Google Drive as an online storage medium. Tanjung Balai SMKN4 instructors in the 20-teacher group improved their understanding of Google Drive features and functionalities, as well as their capacity to handle files efficiently, after attending the session. Because cooperation partners and instructors at SMKN 4 Tanjung Balai may utilize the information learned to maximize the usage of Google Drive in school activities, using Google Drive has a beneficial influence on PkM activities.Keywords: cloud_storage; google_drive; smkn4_tanjung_balai; PkMAbstrak: Sistem penyimpanan data tidak hanya bertujuan agar tersimpan secara rapi dan aman namun dapat juga diakses dengan mudah saat data dibutuhkan. Sebelumnya para guru belum terbiasa menggunakan google drive dan lebih sering menyimpan data dismartphone  sehingga membebani penyimpanan serta kesulitan dalam menemukan file saat akan digunakan dan data yang sering tertinggal karena disimpan dimedia flashdisk atau dilaptop yg berbeda. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru tentang pengetahuan teknologi cloud storage google drive sebagai alternatif media penyimpanan  online. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan melibatkan SMKN4 Tanjung Balai sebagai mitra dalam PkM yang fokus pada pengenalan dan pelatihan penggunaan google drive. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan kepada guru-guru mengenai fitur dan manfaat google drive sebagai media penyimpanan online. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, guru SMKN4 Tanjung Balai  yang mengikuti 20 guru mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang fitur dan fungsi google drive, serta kemampuan mereka dalam mengelola file secara efektif. Pemanfaatan google drive juga memberikan dampak positif dalam kegiatan PkM sebagai kolaborasi mitra dan guru SMKN 4 Tanjung Balai dapat menerapkan pengetahuan yang diperoleh untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan google drive dalam kegiatan sekolah.Kata kunci: cloud_storage; google_drive; smkn4_tanjung_balai; PkM

Abstract

Abstract: Support for out-of-school children often faces challenges in facilitating skills and job opportunities. This project aims to provide practical solutions through the utilization of wood waste by processing it into chicken coops. The support program employs activity methods that include training, hands-on practice in website management with partners, as well as simulations and trials throughout the activities. This initiative not only teaches technical skills and entrepreneurship but also prepares participants to become competent business actors. By involving out-of-school children in the production process of chicken coops, they gain direct experience in business management and product marketing. Furthermore, digital marketing training is provided to expand market reach and enhance participants' digital skills. This approach is expected to open job opportunities and improve the economic independence of the participants.Keywords: dropout, chiken coop; digital marketing Abstrak: Pendampingan bagi anak putus sekolah sering menghadapi tantangan dalam memfasilitasi keterampilan dan kesempatan kerja. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi praktis melalui pemanfaatan limbah kayu dengan mengolahnya menjadi keramba ayam. Program pendampingan menggunakan metode kegiatan yang meliputi pelatihan, praktik langsung dalam pengelolaan website bersama mitra, serta simulasi dan uji coba selama kegiatan berlangsung. Inisiatif ini tidak hanya mengajarkan keterampilan teknik dan kewirausahaan tetapi juga mempersiapkan peserta untuk menjadi pelaku usaha yang kompeten. Dengan melibatkan anak putus sekolah dalam proses produksi keramba ayam, mereka mendapatkan pengalaman langsung dalam pengelolaan usaha serta pemasaran produk.Selanjutnya, pelatihan pemasaran digital diberikan untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar dan meningkatkan keterampilan digital peserta. Abstract

This workshop aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into English language teaching practices. It began with a needs assessment survey to identify the challenges teachers face in utilizing technology. The implementation methods included interactive training sessions, demonstrations of AI-based applications such as learning chatbots, and hands-on support in designing technology-based lesson plans.The workshop results showed that the pre-test score totaled 1,795, with an average score of 59.83. Following the training, a post-test was conducted to measure the improvement in teachers' understanding through the use of the chatbot application. The post-test score reached 2,520, with an average post-test score of 84.00, reflecting an increase of 30 points. This significant improvement highlighted the teachers' enhanced understanding and skills in using AI to create more dynamic, student-centered learning environments. Teachers expressed greater confidence in exploring innovative teaching methods that boost student motivation and participation. It is hoped that this training model can be adapted to other educational settings to support the sustainable integration of technology.Keywords: artificial intelligence; english language learning; primary school teachers; AI technology. Abstrak: Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) ke dalam praktik pengajaran bahasa Inggris. Pelatihan dimulai dengan survei penilaian kebutuhan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Metode pelaksanaannya meliputi sesi pelatihan interaktif, demonstrasi aplikasi berbasis AI seperti chatbot pembelajaran, dan pendampingan langsung dalam merancang rencana pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Hasil lokakarya menunjukkan bahwa skor pre-test mencapai 1.795, dengan skor rata-rata 59,83. Setelah pelatihan, dilakukan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman guru melalui penggunaan aplikasi chatbot. Skor post-test mencapai 2.520, dengan skor rata-rata post-test 84,00, yang mencerminkan peningkatan sebesar 30 poin. Peningkatan yang signifikan ini menyoroti peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan AI untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih dinamis dan berpusat pada siswa, dan para guru menyatakan kepercayaan diri yang lebih besar dalam mengeksplorasi metode pengajaran inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa. Abstract

Malnutrition during critical growth can cause stunted growth in children. Lack of awareness of mothers about the importance of proper baby feeding practices is one of the causes. Therefore, educational interventions are needed to improve maternal behavior, utilizing appropriate media such as audio-visual (video) aids. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of video-based education on maternal behavior in infant feeding (PMBA) and The body weight of children aged 6-23 months in West Monjok District. Video-based PMBA education significantly affects maternal behavior in infant feeding and child weight.

Abstract

Dikarenakan kondisi tipografi dan bentuk wilayah yang berupa perbukitan dengan wilayah yang luas, maka di Desa Carang Wulung masih terdapat dusun yang belum ada jaringan listrik tegangan rendah dari PLN yaitu Dusun Gondang. Akibat keterbatasan tersebut, terdapat rumah ibadah (musala) di Dusun Gondang yang masih kurang diperhatikan dan termasuk dalam kategori tidak layak jika dilihat dari sisi ketersediaan listrik. Masyarakat di dusun yang mayoritas beragama Islam ini mengalami kendala penerangan saat shalat berjamaah di malam hari hingga subuh. Tidak adanya sumber listrik untuk pengeras suara juga mengakibatkan tidak dapat digunakannya pengeras suara untuk menandai masuknya waktu sholat. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka dikembangkan sistem penyimpanan energi listrik berbasis baterai dengan menggunakan panel surya dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah melakukan survey kebutuhan pemasangan sistem instalasi panel surya dan baterai, perakitan beberapa komponen sistem, melakukan pengujian sistem skala laboratorium, pemasangan sistem yang telah dirakit dan diuji, serta melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada warga tentang penggunaan panel surya, pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan sistem. Warga mengaku senang dengan terselenggaranya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini karena dapat beribadah dengan nyaman setiap saat dengan sumber listrik yang tidak mengandalkan sumber dari PLN.

Abstract

Compared to traditional lignocellulose biomass, microalgae contain little or no lignin. Traditionally, bioethanol production from microalgae undergoes three major steps: (i) pretreatment; (ii) polysaccharides hydrolysis into simple sugars; and (iii) sugar conversion into bioethanol by fermentation. Microalgae convert sunlight, water, and CO2 into algal biomass. Diatoms, green algae, bluegreen algae, and golden algae are four main classes of microalgae, whereas the two main species of algae are filamentous and phytoplankton algae. Microalgae convert solar energy efficiently, producing an enormous number of various metabolites. Many studies have been conducted to convert microalgae into various biofuels, such as biodiesel, bioethanol, biohydrogen, and biogas. However, compared to biodiesel, bioethanol production from algae throughfermentation consumes less energy with its simplified process. Considering these advantages, a number of potential applications for microalgae have been proposed and developed. Despite the promising of bioethanol from microalgae, it still has a number of obstacles, such as the low fermentable carbohydrate content of microalgae. This article intends to discuss the methods to increase microalgae carbohydrates thoroughly. To solve this problem, several nutritional starvations/limitations, like nitrogen and phosphorous starvation, are currently being considered in this paper.

Abstract

Kopi bisang merupakan salah satu kopi yang memiliki potensi pengembangan usaha. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perancanaan strategi pemasaran kopi bisang dengan menggunakan metode balanced scorecard. Adapun metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SWOT Balanced scorecard. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses strategi kopi bisang terdapat dua cara untuk meningkatkan internal proses pemasaran yaitu dengan mengurangi biaya operasional dan memaksimalkan penjualan café kopi bisang. pengunjung cafe kopi bisang sebanyak 50 orang. Adapun kuesioner dalam penelitian ini berisi 10 pertanyaan. Deskripsi responden pengunjung cafe kopi bisang yang berumur 18-28 tahun yaitu sebanyak 44%. NPM turunnya nilai penjualan tahun 2019 disebabkan karena banyaknya kompotitor dari setiap tahunnya mempengaruhi jumlah pengunjung setiap tahun sebanyak 52%. ROE menunjukkan bahwa kinerja keuangan dapat dinyatakan baik sebanyak 125%. Produktivitas karyawan CV. lonna indo kopi dengan café kopi bisang dapat diukur dari kinerja pada tahun 2019 pendapatan menurun karena langkahnya bahan baku. Strategi pemasaran keuangan 11%, meningkatkan pendapatan NPM 52,38%, ROE 125%. Membuka boot untuk program unggulan, melakukan promosi dengan marketing baru. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja perusahaan café kopi bisang dengan menggunakan metode balanced scorecard menghasilkan kinerja baik dilihat dari perspektif keuangan, pelanggan, proses bisnis internal serta pembelajaran pertumbuhan. Bisang coffee is one of the coffees that have the potential for business development. The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing strategy planning for bisang coffee using the balanced scorecard method. The data analysis method used in this study is the SWOT Balanced Scorecard. The results showed that in the strategic process of bisang coffee there are two ways to improve the internal marketing process, namely by reducing operational costs and maximizing sales of bisang coffee cafes. Bisang coffee cafe visitors as many as 50 people. The questionnaire in this study contains 10 questions. Description of respondents who visited Bisang coffee cafe aged 18-28 years was as much as 44%. The NPM decline in sales value in 2019 is due to a large number of competitors each year affecting the number of visitors each year by 52%. ROE shows that the financial performance can be stated as good as much as 125%. Productivity of employees of CV. lonna indo coffee with bisang coffee café can be measured from the performance in 2019, the income decreased due to the step in raw materials. 11% financial marketing strategy, increased NPM revenue by 52.38%, 125% ROE. Opening the boot for the featured program, doing promotions with new marketing. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the performance of the bisang coffee café company using the balanced scorecard method produces good performance from the perspective of finance, customers, internal business processes, and growth learning.

Abstract

This community engagement program responds to the declining participation of young congregants in meaningful worship at GKI Hermon Hollo Him. The activity aimed to strengthen the role of young liturgists and nurture the spiritual formation of the youth fellowship. Using a structured approach, including needs assessment, contextual material design, lectures, demonstrations, guided practice, and reflective discussions, the program equipped participants with theological insight and practical liturgical skills. Evaluation was conducted through questionnaires to measure comprehension and responses toward the training. The results show a marked improvement: most participants gained a deeper understanding of liturgy as a transformative encounter with God and demonstrated increased confidence in leading worship. The program successfully integrated theological learning and liturgical practice, enabling young members to serve with greater awareness, competence, and spiritual maturity. In conclusion, the activity effectively empowered youth as active agents in realizing meaningful and life-giving worship within the congregation.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of combining chicken manure fertilizer and NPK fertilizers on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) grown on Ultisol soil. The research was conducted in Pelawan Jaya Village, Sarolangun, Jambi, using a Randomized Block Design with eight combinations of chicken manure fertilizer doses (0–30 ton ha-1) and NPK (0–300 kg ha-1). Soil analysis showed that the Ultisol had acidic pH, low nitrogen and organic carbon content, high phosphorus, and low potassium levels. The chicken manure fertilizer used met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) with good macro-nutrient content. The combined application of chicken manure fertilizer and NPK significantly improved vegetative growth parameters (plant height, leaf number, leaf area, stem diameter) and sweet corn yield components (ear weight, diameter, and length) compared to no fertilization. The optimal dose was 10 ton ha-1 chicken manure fertilizer combined with 200 kg ha-1 NPK, which produced the best growth and yield. Excessive chicken manure fertilizer without NPK did not optimally increase yield. Using chicken manure fertilizer can reduce the use of NPK by up to 50%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a vegetable that is loved by the community because it tastes good and has health benefits. Eggplant productivity in Jambi province has not yet reached its potential results, this is because the land used for planting has low fertility. Efforts to increase productivity are carried out by fertilization. Fertilizers are divided into two, namely organic and inorganic fertilizers, each of which has advantages and disadvantages so it needs to be combined to get efficiency. Organic fertilizer used in the form of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from vegetable waste. This research aims to find out the response of purple eggplant plants to the administration of liquid organic fertilizers, vegetable waste and NPK fertilizers. The research was carried out at the Teaching and Research Farm of the Faculty of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, which used a random group design (RAK) with a combination treatment of liquid organic fertilizer for vegetable waste and NPK fertilizer with 5 levels, namely: 0 mL POC vegetable waste + 30 grams of NPK; 50 mL POC vegetable waste + 22.5 grams of NPK; 100 mL POC vegetable waste + 15 grams of NPK150 mL POC vegetable waste + 7.5 grams of NPK; 200 mL POC vegetable waste + No NPK Fertilizer. The results of the study showed that the combination of liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste and NPK fertilizer had an effect on the growth and yield of purple eggplant plants including plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, flowering age, crown diameter, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, average fruit weight per plant, average fruit length, and average fruit diameter. The combination of 100 mL POC of vegetable waste and 15 grams of NPK fertilizer gives the highest number of leaves, fruit length and fruit diameter. Keywords: NPK, POC, eggplant.
