Abstract

Imam Hatip schools have been a crucial and controversial Islamic education in a contemporary secular Turkey. The majority of Imam Hatip School students come from families who live and conduct their relations in accordance with Islamic norms and principles. Many conservative, religious-minded parents in rural and small town (in central and eastern Turkey) send their children after primary school to an Imam Hatip High school because this is the only school type in which the children can study Islamic subjects besides the general curriculum and the teachers are believed to impart traditional moral values. Many of those parents would, however, wish their children to pursue modern careers and fid more prestigious and better-paid jobs than that of a modest preacher. Today Imam Hatip schools do not only produce Imams (leaders of prayer) and hatips (deliver khutba at every Friday sermon), but also design to cultivate religious sensibilities (dini hassasiyetler) in their students. The schools aim to heighten their student’s awareness of faith and promote the notion that religion should play a substantial role in the life of individuals and society. The most important is that Imam Hatip schools play an important role in Turkey’s pious community and make the country more Islamic.

Abstract

AbstractThe growing opinion that philosophy is a teaching that is prohibited in Islam often has a negative impact on education, especially for basic education. This study aims to determine the role of Islamic educational philosophyfor  Islamic  basic  education.  This  study  uses  the  literature  study  method  to  find  information related  to  the  theme  of  Islamic philosophy  as  a  science  at the basic  education  level.  From the  results  of the analysis that has been carried out, research data shows that the importance of Islamic philosophy for basic  education  in  three  roles  is  the  reason;  First,  the  philosophy  of  Islamic  education  plays  a  role  in compiling  thinking  activities  to  find  the  concept  of  basic  education  in  overcoming  various  problems  of Islamic  education  through  the  study  of  the  Qur'an  and  Hadith.  Second,  the  philosophy  of  Islamic education  leads  basic  education  teachers  to  develop  critical  thinking  on  material  objects  and  formal objects. Material objects include all existing realities (forms), while formal objects are closely related to human  nature  from  the  point  of  view  of  basic  Islamic  education.  This  role  is  carried  out  through  the method  of  selection,  search,  discussion,  and  a  comprehensive  approach  to  the  study  of  Islamic  basic education  philosophy.  This  research  contributes  to  the  development  of  education  so  that  it  is  not  anti-philosophical.Keywords: Philosophy, Islam, Elementary Schools.AbstrakOpini   yang   berkembang   bahwa   filsafat   merupakan   ajaran   yang   dilarang  dalam   Islam   acapkali memberikan   dampak   buruk   terhadap   pendidikan,  khusunya   jenjang   pendidikan   dasar. Kajian   ini bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  peranan  filsafat  pendidikan  Islam  bagi  pendidikan  dasar  Islam.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka untuk menggali informasi terkait tema filsafat islam sebagai ilmu pada  jenjang  pendidikan  dasar.  Dari  hasil  analisis  yang  telah  dilakukan  diperoleh data  penelitian yang menunjukkan  bahwapentingnya  filsafat  Islam  bagi  pendidikan  dasar  didasarkan  pada  tiga peran  yang menjadi alasan;  pertama,  filsafat  pendidikan  islam berperan  dalam  menyusun  aktivias  berpikir  untuk menemukan  konsep  pendidikan  dasar  dalam  mengatasi  berbagai  problem  pendidikan  Islam  melalui kajian  al-Qur'an  dan  Hadist.  Kedua, filsafat  pendidikan  islam  menggiring  guru  pendidikan  dasar  untuk menyusun  pemikiran  kritis  atas  objek  materiil  dan  objek  formal.  Objek  materi  meliputi  segala  realitas yang  ada  (wujud),  sedangkan  objek  formal  berhubungan  erat  dengan  hakikat  manusia  dari  sudut pandang  pendidikan  dasar Islam.  Peranan  ini    terlaksana  melalui  metode  pemilihan,  pencarian, pembahasan,    dan    pendekatan    studi    filsafat    pendidikan    dasar Islam    yang    dilakukan    secara komprehensif.Penelitian  ini  memberikan  kontribusi  bagi  perkembangan  pendidikan  agar  tidak  bersifat anti-filsafat.Kata Kunci: Filsafat, Islam, Pendidikan Dasar

Abstract

The world has many problems, economic interests, chaos, and wars. Man needs a binder to prevent man (countries) from being able to do something that only benefits himself and harms others. Thus, global ethics as a minimalist ethic is needed in this world. The goal is that there be peace and order. This article aims to construct an idea of creating peaceful education through Islamic Religious Education with a global ethical perspective. This research confirms that the main points of global ethics are relevant to Islamic religious education in Indonesia regarding Islamic teachings and Government Regulations. The integration of global ethics in Islamic Religious Education can be implemented in Indonesia. On the other hand, there are challenges to integrating global ethics in learning; how can teachers provide students with an understanding of the universal values of global ethics in Indonesia context of a plural society? The leading global ethics precepts must be included in the Islamic religious education curriculum at the basic, secondary, and higher levels. This study is devoted to developing a rudimentary idea of Islamic religious education from a global ethical standpoint. As a result, additional research on Islamic religious education from a global ethical viewpoint is required.

Abstract

Our research aims to find out the problems experienced by students and lecturers in the implementation of online learning, during the Covid-19 pandemic and efforts to overcome styles in universities. Qualitative descriptive approaches and exploratory case studies were used to collect data from students and lecturers at the State Islamic University of Walisongo Indonesia. This study shows that the implementation of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has led to changes in the learning system that have led to a new lecture paradigm that can be highlighted in four sub-scales including the level of saturation, seriousness and participation in learning, learning motivation, and the level of intellectual satisfaction. Meanwhile, the efforts made by lecturers in overcoming this problem are by maximizing the use of learning technology tools, modifying certain learning methods such as project based learning, integrated curriculum, and blended learning. This study contributes to research on pedagogy and online learning by clarifying the role of lecturers in finding problem solving problems faced by students.

Abstract

Maraknya kenakalan remaja menjadi masalah tersendiri khususnya bagi para pendidik. Semestinya remaja mampu menjadi pelopor aksi cinta damai dan anti konflik khususnya di lingkungan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian untuk: menganalisis model pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam integratif di SMP Islam Terpadu Robbani Kendal serta menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam integratif dalam pembentukan budaya damai di sekolah. Metode penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, jenis penelitian studi kasus, teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang dihasilkan dianalisis dengan model deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam integratif dapat membentuk budaya damai di sekolah yang secara teoritik memperkuat teori pembelajaran integratif Model Nested yang dikembangkan oleh Forgarty.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the delivery strategy of Islamic religious education learning materials in the post-truth era in senior high school. This qualitative research with a phenomenological approach relies on in-depth interview data, observation, and documentation. The research participants involved three teachers of Islamic Religious Education and nine students of SMA Islam Al-Azhar 29 Semarang. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. The results of the study indicate that the learning organization strategy tends to be against posh-truth. First, resistance to post-truth can be seen from the pattern of scientific learning approaches through problem-based learning models, cooperative learning models, inquiry learning models, quantum teaching learning models, and learning models for improving thinking skills combined with integrated learning methods. The chosen model has been able to instill character education, literacy, HOTS, and 4C as the main components in fighting posh truth. Third, resistance to post-truth is given through a communication model that is polite, courteous, and not easy to spread hoax information. The results of the study recommend that schools need to prepare adequate learning resource facilities and increase teacher professionalism so that the negative impact of post-truth can be minimized in schools. (Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi penyampaian materi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam era post-truth di SMA. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi ini mengandalkan data wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian ini melibatkan tiga orang guru PAI dan sembilan siswa SMA Islam Al-Azhar 29 Semarang. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi organisasi pembelajaran cenderung bertentangan dengan posh-truth. Pertama, resistensi terhadap post-truth dapat dilihat dari pola pendekatan pembelajaran saintifik melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, model pembelajaran kooperatif, model pembelajaran inkuiri, model pembelajaran quantum teaching, dan model pembelajaran peningkatan keterampilan berpikir yang dipadukan dengan metode pembelajaran terpadu. Model yang dipilih telah mampu menanamkan pendidikan karakter, literasi, HOTS, dan 4C sebagai komponen utama dalam memperjuangkan kebenaran. Ketiga, resistensi terhadap post-truth diberikan melalui model komunikasi yang santun, santun, dan tidak mudah menyebarkan informasi hoax. Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan agar sekolah perlu menyiapkan fasilitas sumber belajar yang memadai dan meningkatkan profesionalisme guru sehingga dampak negatif post-truth dapat diminimalisir di sekolah.)

Abstract

Globalization has resulted in rapid changes in various fields and brought many impacts, especially on Islamic education. This study aims to determine the globalization of Islamic education thought of Qodri Azizy, which comes from the question, ‘How is Qodri Azizy’s transformative and futuristic thought? This research has an urgency and uniqueness because Qodri Azizy is an academic in law as his scientific discipline, but his contributions are very interdisciplinary and even greatly influence his contribution to Islamic higher education. This is the embryo of the birth of the Unity of Sciences paradigm at UIN Walisongo. The intellectual biography research used library research with text analysis using a related text analysis approach. The research found: (1) transformative Islamic education ideas of Qodri Azizy (a) religious education and freedom of thought, (b) building and teaching environmental ethics, (c) good deeds and generosity, and (d) creating a culture of useful and productive friendship; (2) the role of Islamic education in globalization era according to Qodri Azizy (a) designing a pattern of development of IAIN Walisongo by opening general scientific discipline with a foundation of Islamic knowledge, (b) studying Islam with social sciences approach, (c) change school management with community-based education, and (d) change education management in IAIN Walisongo toward modern management with an Islamic basis. To the public in general, it is hoped that they will be able to take advantage of Qodri Azizy’s Islamic education ideas as part of the capital to equip the next generation who are Islamic and able to face the changing era.

Abstract

This study aims to find a new model in the development of Islamic Boarding Schools or well known as pesantren. By adopting a business system, pesantren can be developed by a franchise model. The data collection methods used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. From the data obtained, the results indicated a new model in the development of pesantren, namely the franchise model. The franchise model in pesantren can be perceived in three points. Firstly, the existence of the central pesantren as the control holder of branch pesantren. Secondly, the presence of royalties paid by the branch pesantren to the central pesantren in exchange for the given learning system. The royalty is not material but in the form of tahfidz students who have good character. It is in line with the purpose of the Tahfidz Daarul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School to print thousands of memorizers of the Qur’an in the archipelago. Thirdly, the existence of a standard learning system that can be adopted and followed by the branch pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the paradigm of unity of science at UIN Walisongo. By using literature methods, this study shows that, 1. The definition of the unity of science paradigm at Uin Walisongo contains the meaning that in fact science is a unity that comes from God and leads to God, through His revelation both directly and indirectly. 2. The principles of the unified science paradigm at UIN Walisongo itself have five principles, namely: integration, collaboration, dialectics, prospective, and pluralistic. 3. The unified science paradigm strategy at UIN Walisongo has a very ambitious vision, they are committed to being not just a an educational institution, but also a center of excellence in research and development. 4. The aim of the UIN Walisongo paradigm is to unify religion and science and also complete the paradigm where science is considered everything, thereby ignoring other aspects, including humanity. This study has had a positive impact on the development of philosophical science, especially in the study of the paradigm of scientific unity at UIN Walisongo. Our analysis can be used to strengthen the argument that the thinking of western philosophers can actually coexist with Islamic philosophy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between science and religion from the perspective of the philosophy of science. By using library research methods, this study shows that science and religion have significant differences in approaches to knowledge and reality. Science is knowledge obtained through research and experimentation, while religion binds oneself to God and shapes behavior. However, both have similarities in the desire to seek the truth, recognize human limitations, and try to understand the world. They can synergize in a deeper understanding of life and reality, with similarities in their presumptions, methods and concepts. This study has a positive impact on the development of philosophical scholarship, especially in the study of the relationship between science and religion from the perspective of the philosophy of science.
