Abstract

This study examines the role of financial technology (fintech) in improving financial literacy among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in North Bengkulu Regency. Along with the development of technology and people's need for more efficient financial services, fintech has emerged as a solution to facilitate financial transactions. However, the community's low understanding of fintech can lead to financial risks, especially for MSME groups that tend to be consumptive. The research involved socialization and education on the use of fintech, with a focus on its positive impact and how to use it wisely. The methods used included surveys, presentations, and interactive discussions with participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge of fintech and its potential utilization to improve financial transactions. This activity is expected to encourage local economic growth and increase public awareness of the importance of financial literacy in the digital era. Therefore, continuous education and support are needed to ensure that people can optimally utilize fintech.

Abstract

In an application, a test is needed, to find out whether the application has errors or needs to be developed to be better. The Black Box Testing technique has been widely applied by researchers to test an application program that is appropriate or not. The software that will be tested is the best employee selection system application, and consists of a menu that will be inputted about employee data, as well as employee performance while in the company. The best employee selection system application is tested by Black Box testing. The purpose of testing this application is to see if the program performs every function we expect without looking at the source code of the software. The type of black box testing method used in this research is Equivalence Partitions. The Equivalence Partitions method is a test based on filling out each form in the best employee selection system, on each input menu will be tested and made into groups based on whether its function is valid or invalid.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a crucial role in the national economy, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. MSMEs not only contribute to GDP but also absorb a large number of workers (Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, 2023). In the context of globalization and digitalization, financial technology (fintech) is a new driver for MSMEs to increase access to financial services. However, the adoption of fintech cannot be separated from the local cultural context that influences the behavior, beliefs, and preferences of MSME actors. Therefore, it is important to understand the interaction between local culture, financial technology, and MSME performance. This study was conducted using a systematic literature review method with the PRISMA approach. The identification process was carried out through the Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect databases with the keywords: "local culture", "financial technology", "MSMEs performance", and "Indonesia". The selected articles numbered 25, published between 2013 and 2024, with a focus on empirical and conceptual studies that discuss the relationship between the three variables.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) on firm value, integrating several variables to enhance the understanding of this relationship. These variables include corporate leverage, debt restructuring, and firm performance. The data for this research were collected through a purposive sampling method, focusing on the financial statements of manufacturing companies in the ASEAN region from 2018 to 2023. The analysis will employ panel data regression techniques, utilizing the Eviews12 application. The findings indicate that EPU significantly affects corporate leverage, performance, and firm value. However, leverage, as proxied by Debt-to-Asset Ratio (DAR) and Debt-to-Capital Ratio (DCR), does not fully account for the performance and value of firms; only the DCR demonstrates a significant impact. Moreover, DCR is found to mediate the relationship between EPU and corporate performance or firm value. In contrast, debt restructuring does not moderate the effect of EPU on corporate performance. Lastly, it is evident that company performance significantly influences firm value and can mediate the impact of EPU on that value.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the construct validity of public elementary school performance from the proposed performance theory so that the observed variables can form a latent variable. This study used a quantitative approach with a measurement model in the form of First Order Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The sample in this study amounted to 233 principals of public elementary schools. Meanwhile, the location in this study is Brebes Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. Then, the data analysis in this research starts with developing the theoretical model, making a causality relationship path diagram, selecting the input matrix and obtaining the model estimate, assessing the identification of the structural model, and assessing the criteria of Goodness of Fit. This study reveals variables for measuring school performance, such as content standards, process standards, graduate competency standards, educator and education staff standards, facilities and infrastructure standards, management standards, financing standards, and education assessment standards, indicating that three observational variables are not significant and invalid in forming school performance latent variables, namely standards of educators and educational staff, standards of facilities and infrastructure, and standards of financing. In this regard, this research makes a practical contribution, namely that there is a need to change the orientation of fulfilling national education standards, which leads to school assessment based on performance appraisal based on curriculum development and implementation, teacher professional development, and optimizing the responsibility of stakeholders to improve educational quality so that schools able to provide optimal performance in providing services to the community.

Abstract

In today's modern era, the interpretation of the Qur'an has undergone a significant development. Many branches of science are used by Islamic scholars to express the meanings contained in the Qur'an. On the other hand, scholars outside Islam are also interested in interpreting the Qur'an as a guide to science and human life. These orientalist scholars expressed much of their thoughts in understanding the Qur'an. In this paper will be discussed the interpretation of the Qur'an written by Edip Yuksel and friends, in his work entitled "Quran: a Reformist Translation" Yuksel offers a new method of understanding the Qur'an which is considered a new form of reading of the Qur'an that is different from the interpretations of previous Islamic scholars.

Abstract

Tujuan dari Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman pentingnya penerapan manajemen waktu dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa SMK Negeri 7 Kota Serang. Manajemen waktu merupakan faktor internal yang signifikan dalam mengelola diri sendiri. Oleh karena itu, peran manajemen waktu sangat penting dan diperlukan dalam konteks kegiatan belajar mengajar, khususnya bagi pelajar. Manajemen waktu yang efektif menjadi dorongan bagi setiap individu untuk belajar dengan semangat, sehingga mereka lebih termotivasi dan tidak mudah bosan dengan materi yang dipelajari. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melalui kegiatan pemaparan materi guna memberikan penjelasan tentang materi manajemen waktu serta gambaran dunia kampus dan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) diharapkan dapat mengedukasi siswa mengenai pentingnya manajemen waktu bagi siswa dalam meningkatkan produktifitas belajar dan cara mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan akademik agar terjadi peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang bagaimana mengelola waktu dengan baik yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

The development of the times, especially in this digital era, requires MSME actors to be able to compete in marketing their products. The problems faced are still many MSME actors who lack knowledge and do not keep up with developments in the technological era. The purpose of this community service is to improve digital marketing and foster an entrepreneurial spirit among youth so that they are able to compete in increasing the level of the economy. This research uses the PAR method ((Participatory Action Research). The community service activities carried out are very beneficial for participants in increasing their knowledge and utilization of digital media as a means for product marketing, thus providing great opportunities within the reach of market share which can impact on income turnover. Community service in the form of seminars on optimizing MSME marketing in increasing the entrepreneurial spirit among youth is urgently needed because of the development of the technological era which requires MSME actors to compete globally with the online marketing system, this is where the role of youth is needed to bridge and deal with this development with an in-depth understanding of the utilization digital media.

Abstract

Transformasi manajemen pendidikan Islam menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk menghadapi tantangan global di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan Society 5.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi inovatif yang dapat diterapkan dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam, guna menjawab tantangan globalisasi, kemajuan teknologi, dan perubahan sosial budaya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan, dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam melibatkan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dengan pendekatan modern, seperti penggunaan teknologi digital, pembaruan kurikulum berbasis STEM, serta pemberdayaan guru dan siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan global. Implementasi strategi ini memerlukan kepemimpinan yang adaptif, fleksibilitas kurikulum, dan kolaborasi internasional untuk menguatkan posisi pendidikan Islam di kancah global. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan baru bagi pengembangan manajemen pendidikan Islam yang relevan dan berkelanjutan.The transformation of Islamic education management has become an urgent necessity to face global challenges in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. This study aims to explore innovative strategies that can be applied in Islamic education management to address the challenges of globalization, technological advancement, and socio-cultural changes. The research method uses a qualitative approach through literature study, with descriptive analysis and content analysis. The results of the study indicate that the transformation in Islamic education management involves the integration of Islamic values with modern approaches, such as the use of digital technology, curriculum renewal based on STEM, and the empowerment of teachers and students in facing global challenges. The implementation of these strategies requires adaptive leadership, curriculum flexibility, and international collaboration to strengthen the position of Islamic education on the global stage. This study is expected to provide new insights for the development of relevant and sustainable Islamic education management.

Abstract

Management is the science and art of managing the process of utilizing human resources and other sources effectively and efficiently to achieve a certain goal. The concept of educational management, roles and functions and the scope of educational management are discussed in this research. The method used in this research is descriptive by explaining literature studies regarding the basic concepts of educational management. Some of the literature presented is used as a reference for this research. The aim of this research is to know and understand the concept of educational management, the role, function and scope of educational management itself. The results of the research show that management is a science and art that regulates the process of utilizing human resources and other resources effectively and efficiently to achieve a certain goal. The scope and functions of management are related to each other starting from planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring. Education management is also the role of managing an educational institution by using all resources efficiently to achieve educational goals effectively.
