Abstract

This research was conducted in Hegarmanah Village, Sumedang Regency. The village of Hegarmanah in 2011 is the village that has the widest rice harvest area compared to other villages which is 242 hectares, in 2014 the rice field becomes 86.82 hectares and will decrease from year to year as a result of land conversion to non agriculture. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristics of rice farming in Hegarmanah Village and to analyze income level and contribution of paddy farm income to earnings structure of farmer. The research method used qualitative method with research case study technique (case study). The design of farming analysis is needed to know the size of farmer acceptance and R / C ratio analysis. The results obtained 81.25 percent of farmers sell some of their products (semi-commercial) and 25 percent of farmers sell farming products, 18.75 percent of farmers do not sell the results of farming. Farmers with the largest sales quantity only reached 42 quintals or about 75 percent of the total production. R / C ratio of farmers greater than 1 means that rice farming is profitable. Rice farm income contribution to total farmer income varies from 12 percent to 100 percent. Some farmers are still dependent on rice farming, additional income derived from livestock and plantation crops, kostan kostan business, processing industry, service and trade.

Abstract

The development of coffee plants in Indonesia shows a rapid growth to fulfill domestic and foreign needs. However, there are still farmers who have not been able to maximize their market potential by using post-harvest technology to increase value added caused by the low accessibility of farmers to farming capital.This research aims to identify accessibility of coffee farmers to financial institution and analyze the factors of credit accessibility towards bank as financial institution of coffee farmers at Kubangsari 2 Farmers Group. The research design used quantitative design with survey research technique. The research sampling used simple random sampling with 31 sample of farmers picked. The data analysis used logit regression method with SPSS 21as a statistical tools. The results show that the coffee farmers take credit accessibility to bank (41,94%), non-bank (3,23%), and non-formal financial institution (51,61%). Besides that, there is 3,23% respondents did not access credit. The result of logit regression shows the factors that effect to credit accessibility of coffee farmers is age, formal education, farming experience, number of coffee trees, and coffee farming income.   Keywords: credit accesibility, farming income, logit regression

Abstract

Financial technology merupakan salah satu inovasi dalam sektor pelayanan jasa keuangan. Fintech menawarkan kemudahan akses permodalan khususnya bagi masyarakat yang masih kesulitan dalam menjangkau sektor formal seperti petani. Sehingga, fintech dipandang sebagai inovasi yang disruptif terhadap aktivitas Bank Umum Konvensional sebagai salah satu lembaga formal sektor keuangan di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja Bank Umum Konvensional setelah pengesahan regulasi fintech pada tahun 2016 oleh OJK ditinjau dari rasio keuangan bank. Periode penelitian dilakukan pada rentang tahun 2014-2019. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 86 Bank Umum Konvensional yang terbagi ke dalam kelompok bank berdasarkan kepemilikan: Bank Persero, Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD), Bank Swasta Nasional, dan Bank Asing. Data dan informasi diperoleh dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji sampel berpasangan dan Wilcoxon signed rank test terhadap variabel CAR, BOPO, LDR, NIM, ROA, dan NPL. Hasilnya diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan CAR, LDR, NIM, dan ROA pada kelompok bank BPD; perbedaan NIM pada kelompok Bank Persero; dan perbedaan NPL pada kelompok Bank Swasta Nasional setelah pengesahan regulasi fintech tahun 2016.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian 1) Mengetahui karakteristik petani dan usahatani mangga gedong gincu 2) Menganalisis aksesibilitas petani mangga gedong gincu terhadap lembaga keuangan formal maupun non-formal 3) Menganalisis potensi dan kendala yang diahadapi petani mangga gedong gincu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain kualitatif dengan teknik penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis pendapatan dandeskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keuntungan pada out off seasonlebih besar dibandingkan on season walupun RC rasionya sama. Aksesibilitas petani terhadap lembaga keuangan masih rendah, hal ini disebabkan karenaa) tingkat pendidikan petani masih rendah, b) petani tidak mempunyai agunan yang disyaratkan, c) prosedur kredit perbankan sangat rumit bagi petani, dan d) petani takut tidak mampu membayar cicilan. Potensi dan kendala yang mempengaruhi kemampuan petani dalam mengakses lembaga keuangan dibagi menjadi faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal diantaranyausia, pengalaman usahatani, tanggungan keluarga, dan keanggotaan kelompok tani. Faktor eksternal diantaranya pengalaman pinjaman, fasilitator pembiayaan. Adapun kendala internal yang dihadapi petani diantaranya pendidikan rendah, tidak mempunyai agunan, dan kendala eksternal diantaranya prosedur rumit, kurangnya informasi, ketersediaan kebijakan program pemerintah.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the status of food security of paddy farmer households between monoculture and integrated farmers in Pangkalan District, Karawang Regency. The research was conducted from June to September 2018. This research is quantitative research with survey techniques. The sampling technique in this study was carried out by stratified random sampling . By identifying areas and farmers have potential in rice farming and cattle breeding then selected Tamanmekar village, Tamansari village, and Medalsari village in the Pangkalan district base has the highest number of integrated farming according to data from the initial survey prior to the study. The total number of samples obtained was 107 samples of monoculture farmers and integrated respondents. The number of samples is further divided into the number of respondents of monocultural rice farmers (61 respondents) and integrated farmers (46 respondents). Data analysis uses an analysis of the share of food expenditure and t test to determine the impact of integrated agriculture on household food security. Overall the number of farmer household respondents with the category of food expenditure share <60% or food resistance as many as 69 respondents (64.49%), while the number of households with a share of expenditure ≥ 60% or food insecurity was 38 respondents (35.51%) . The test results of different test using t test showed p-value obtained at 0, 344. When compared with the significant level of 5%, the p-value is greater so it is concluded that it is not there is a difference between the share of agricultural expenditure in the group of monoculture farmers and integrated farmers. It means that integrated farming doesn’t have an impact on food security.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik petani kentang, rantai pasokkentang, besarnya modal yang dibutuhkan petani dan sumbernya untuk berusahatani kentang, sertamenganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi petani kentang dalam memilih sumber pembiayaan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik suatu kasus. Alat analisis deskriptifdigunakan untuk menjelaskan karakteristik petani, rantai pasok kentang, pendapatan usahatani, dansumber modal. Alat yang digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi petanikentang dalam mengambil sumber pembiayaan adalah analisis regresi logistic. Hasilnyamenunjukkan bahwa rantai pasok kentang ada 2 macam yaitu yang orientasinya pasar terstruktur danpasar tradisional. Petani lebih banyak memilih menggunakan modal sendiri dan sebagian besar bilameminjam lebih memilih ke lembaga keuangan non formal. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhi petanimemilih sumber modal adalah tingkat pengenalan petani terhadap pengelola keuangan.

Abstract

Coffee is one of export commodity which planted in almost all Indonesian area. Pangalengan district is the biggest coffee production center in West Java. Farmer in this district produces, java preanger coffee, arabica coffee with a good quality and an excellent taste. Coffee agribusiness need an institutional support which help farmers to access capital and world markets. Margamulya Coffee Producer Cooperative (MCPC) is one of farmer cooperative with a lot of efforts to market their coffee to the world coffee market. The research purpose is to identify the role of MCPC in java preanger arabica coffee (JPAC) agribusiness and to formulate its growth strategy in order to encourage arabica coffee to reach at world market. The research used descriptive qualitative method with technical case study. Technical data collection is done through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that MCPC has an important role in developing JPAC agribusiness in terms of assisting production facilities procurement, guidance and facilitating coffee farming productivity growth, as well as implementing the processing and marketing of coffee. Based on IFAS-EFAS analysis, the position of MCPC is in cell II, namely Growth and Build, which means the development strategy is needed through Intensive and Integration strategy. SWOT analysis represents that there are 10 main strategies will lead the MCPC to compete in the world market of coffee. Therefore, MCPC should improve professionalism in its management, attempt to increase members (coffee farmers) loyalty and build coffee agribusiness integrated with the environmental sustainable agro-tourism development.

Abstract

Margamulya, Pangalengan is one of coffee producing region with the Java Preanger arabica coffee brand marketed by Margamulya Coffee Producers Cooperative. Java Preanger is sold to domestic and abroad, so then coffee production should be available in large quantities. Productions by somefarmers is low becaused does not do maintenance properly. The purpose of this research is to know the impact of credit on arabica coffee income. This research used inferential quantitative methods. The analysis tested by Independent Sample T-Test. Sampling done by Simple Random Sampling methods. The results state that credit provides a significant difference in arabica coffee income for farmers credit recipients and non-credit recipients because their used for arabica coffee farming and for labor wages.
