Abstract

Activated carbon from palm kernel shell has been prepared by using ultrasonic assisted activation.  Carbonization was conducted at mild condition of 400ºC for 90 minutes heating time.  Ultrasonic irradiation (35 Watt,  42 KHz) for 15 minutes increases the carbon iodine number from 452.4021 mg/g  up to 817.4907 which is higher than SNI 06-3730-1995 requirement of mg/ g 750 mg/g for activated carbon. FTIR spectra results show that activated carbon has -OH groups at wave numbers of 3000-3500 cm-1, C = C at wave numbers of 1550-1650 cm-1, CO at wave numbers of 1000-1260 cm-1 and CH at wave numbers of 810- 770 cm-1 . Adsorption test results showed that the prepared activated carbon was able to absorb Pb+2 ion at the optimum concentration of 60 mg/L. Adsorption isotherm study conducted by Freundlich equation produces a regression coefficient R2 = 0.835 with a maximum absorption capacity of 11.0783mg/ g.

Abstract

The manufacture of activated carbon from oil palm frond waste using an ultrasonic wave activator has been successfully carried out. The carbonization process was carried out at a temperature of 250ºC for 90 minutes. Activation with ultrasonic waves (35 Watt, 40 KHz) for 30 minutes was able to increase the iodine number from 330.06 mg/g to 799.14 mg/g and was in accordance with SNI No.06-3730-1995. FTIR spectra show that the activated carbon of oil palm fronds has a functional group –OH at wave number 2900-3200 cm-1, C=C at wavenumber 1500-1600 cm-1, C-O at wavenumber 1200-1250 cm-1. The results of the adsorption test on Rhodamine B dye showed that the activated carbon produced had an optimum absorption capacity of 9.04 mg/g at a concentration of 400 ppm for 90 minutes. Studies show that the adsorption isotherms absorption mechanisms tend to follow the Freundlich equation with a correlation coefficient (R2)= 0.9861.

Abstract

Silica or silicon dioxide is a chemical compound with the molecular formula SiO2 which can be obtained from the synthesis of crystals, silica minerals, and vegetables. Compounds resulting from the polymerization of silicic acid, which are composed of a tetrahedral SiO4 unit chain with the general formula SiO2. Each silica atom is surrounded by four oxygen atoms. Silica forms a polyhedral network, where the bonds between oxygen tetrahendral are one and the other. Silica will form a framework that has pores that are quite open and allow other molecules to enter and undergo adsorption on the surface of the silica. Modification of silica is done by adding heat at a certain temperature, adding reagents to the active site of silica will change the silica functional group. Silica with the addition of amine compounds reacted with GPTMS can be used as nitrate anion adsorption to see the absorption capacity of silica against nitrate anions using the batch method. The factors used to see this adsorption capacity include pH at pH 7 with an absorption of 1.931463 mg/g and the percentage of absorption is 79.5%. and contact time with a time of 90 minutes with an absorption of 0.32677 mg/g and the percentage of absorption is 67.28785%.

Abstract

Research on increasing the degradation ability of AC-ZnO catalyst against Rhodamine B by impregnation on activated carbon from coconut fiber (Cocos nucifera L) has been carried out. Activated carbon is catalyzed by ZnO semiconductor catalyst by impregnation method. Impregnation was carried out by varying the addition of activated carbon (AC) 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% ZnO mass for 6 hours. The catalyst was calcined at 300 C for 105 minutes. For the results of the AC-ZnO adsorption test on Rhodamine B, the catalyst was tested on the degradation of Rhodamine B solution (10 ppm) with UV irradiation. obtained 89.76%. This shows that activated carbon from coconut fiber can support to increase the role of ZnO in the degradation of Rhodamine B. Characterization of the optimum degradation yield was carried out by FTIR. The characterization results showed that the ZnO catalyst was successfully formed.

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the aim of knowing the characteristics of activated carbon made from bagasse waste to be used as a support for zinc oxide (ZnO) catalysts using the impregnation method and the ability of the catalyst to degrade Rhodamin B dyes. Activated carbon is impregnated with Zn(NO3)2.6H2O with variations activated carbon 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% to 15 gram mass of Zn(NO3)2.6H2O. The impregnated KA/ZnO was then contacted with 10 ppm Rhodamine B dye with a degradation time of 120 minutes. The mass of KA/ZnO used was 25 mg, 50 mg and 75 mg. The FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red) results of the KA/ZnO catalyst show that Zn-O molecules have entered into the pores of the activated carbon marked by the appearance of absorption peaks at wavelengths of 426.28 cm-1, 419.52 cm-1, and 437.85 cm-1 . The results of UV-Vis spectrophotometer measurements obtained the highest degradation percentage of Rhodamin B dye, namely 88.23% at 10% KA/ZnO with a catalyst mass of 75 mg.

Abstract

The synthesis of ZnO and ZnO/Au nanoparticles using the laser ablation method in liquid has been successfully carried out. Characterization of the optical properties of ZnO and ZnO/Au using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (Ocean Optic MAYA Pro 2000) which was measured in the wavelength range of 275 - 875 nm. The characterization results obtained are absorbance values and band gap values of ZnO and ZnO/Au nanoparticles. From this study, the absorbance values of ZnO nanoparticles were found at wavelengths of 330 and 335 nm. After obtaining the absorbance value, the band gap value was analyzed for ZnO and ZnO/Au nanoparticles, respectively, namely 3.23 eV and 3.17 eV. The decrease in the band gap value in ZnO is due to the presence of Au in ZnO nanoparticles which can replace one of the lattices in the ZnO crystal structure.

Abstract

Mesoporous silica is an inorganic materials that has high potential to be applied in various industrial fields, one of its application is the adsorption method. To maximize the adsorption of mesoporous silica, modification of the silica surface was carried out with the addition of amine compounds. The amine compound used as a modifier is dimethylamine (DMA). Mesoporous silica which has been modified with dimethylamine is used in the nitrate anions adsorption process by the column method. The adsorption capacity of the nitrate anion is 0.0917 mg/g. After being adsorbed, the desorption process was carried out to release the adsorbed nitrate anions again. From the desorption process, it was found that HCl proved to be the best desorption agent used on nitrate anions. The optimum concentration of HCl was 0.15 M with the number of  nitrate anions desorbed as much as 0.0459 mg with a 100% desorption percentage.

Abstract

Kamang Magek District in Agam Regency has 177 small industries with 708 workers and 2 large industries with 51 workers. The products produced are dominated by the food sector so that product halalness is the main thing to pay attention to. Along with this, activities are needed regarding the need for the halalness of a product that will be consumed by the public for existing industrial players. Through the initiation of the Nagari government, Kamang Hilia sent a request to LPPM Padang State University to carry out community service activities regarding product halal certification. Community service activities are carried out by inviting resource persons from the Padang State University Halal Center in the form of training and discussions as well as assistance in the process of obtaining halal certification. This activity will succeed the Sehati program targeted by the government, especially for the province of West Sumatra. With this training, communication and supervision of industry players is getting better and opening opportunities for small partner industries to obtain a significant number of halal certificates.

Abstract

In financial market dynamics, a deep understanding of economic factors that affect JCI performance such as interest rates, inflation, and the rupiah exchange rate is essential in making investment decisions. This study aims to analyze the effect of interest rates, inflation, and the rupiah exchange rate on JCI with profitability as moderation. Through a quantitative approach with purposive sampling techniques in 21 LQ45 companies, data were analyzed using SPSS 26. The results showed that interest rates had a negative and significant impact on JCI, while inflation and the rupiah exchange rate had a significant positive impact. Profitability managed to moderate the relationship between interest rates and inflation with JCI significantly. However, profitability did not have a significant impact in moderating the relationship between the rupiah exchange rate and JCI. Researchers highlighted that the combination of low interest rates, controlled inflation, and stable exchange rates boosted JCI growth and the economy as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of religious figures in instilling Islamic educational values ??in juvenile delinquency (case study: in Naru Barat Village, Sape District). The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with a case study approach. In this study, the researcher has selected several people who will be used as the subjects of this study, namely religious figures and village officials in Naru Barat Village, Sape District, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The Role of Religious Figures in Instilling Islamic Educational Values ??in Adolescents in Naru Barat Village, Sape District includes several forms of the role of religious figures, namely: a) humanist approach. The humanist approach as a means of instilling Islamic educational values ??that are effective in shaping the character of adolescents who have noble personalities, and are able to appreciate differences and contribute to a directed and prosperous civilization; b) providing religious advice. Providing religious advice to adolescents is one useful way to instill Islamic educational values. through advice delivered with love and understanding, teenagers can be directed to understand and internalize Islamic teachings so that they are able to apply Islamic values ??in their daily lives and develop into individuals with noble morals; c) organizing religious activities. Religious figures have a very important role in organizing religious activities as a means of instilling Islamic educational values ??in teenagers. With their ability to direct, guide, and provide real examples of how to practice Islamic teachings in everyday life, religious figures are able to create a conducive environment for the formation of character and morality in teenagers. Through various religious activities such as religious studies, discussions, and spiritual guidance programs, religious figures not only convey religious knowledge, but also instill essential Islamic values ??such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and respect. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran tokoh agama dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan islam pada kenakalan remaja (studi kasus: di Desa Naru Barat Kecamatan Sape). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatakan studi kasus. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti telah memilih beberapa orang yang akan dijadikan sebagai subyek penelitian ini yakni para tokoh agama dan perangkat desa yang ada di Desa Naru Barat Kecamatan Sape Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Peran Tokoh Agama Dalam Menanamkan Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Islampada Remaja Di Desa Naru Barat Kecamatan Sape meliputi beberapa bentuk peranan tokoh agama yaitu: a) pendekatan humanis. Pendekatan humanis sebagai sarana penanaman nilai pendidikan Islam yang efektif dalam membentuk karakter para remaja yang mempunyai kepribadian luhur, serta mampu menghargai perbedaan dan berkontribusi dalam peradaban hidup yang terarah dan sejahtera; b) memberikan nasehat keagamaan. Memberikan nasehat keagamaan kepada remaja merupakan salah satu cara yang bermanfaat dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam. melalui nasehat yang disampaikan dengan penuh kasih sayang dan pengertian, para remaja dapat diarahkan untuk memahami dan menghayati ajaran-ajaran Islam sehingga mereka mampu menerapkan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta berkembang menjadi pribadi yang berakhlak mulia; c) menyelenggarakan kegiatan keagamaan. Tokoh agama memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menyelenggarakan kegiatan keagamaan sebagai sarana penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam pada remaja. Dengan kemampuan mereka untuk mengarahkan, membimbing, dan memberikan contoh nyata tentang bagaimana mengamalkan ajaran Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tokoh agama mampu menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif untuk pembentukan karakter dan moralitas remaja. Melalui berbagai kegiatan keagamaan seperti pengajian, diskusi, dan program bimbingan spiritual, tokoh agama tidak hanya menyampaikan pengetahuan agama, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam yang esensial seperti, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, toleransi, dan rasa menghormati.
