Abstract

Karang Taruna is a youth organization which is a partner for community service from universities. Business actors can take advantage of the rapid development of information technology to increase their business volume. Digital marketing, which is now widely used, is not well known by the Karang Taruna in the city of Padang. Karang Taruna youth are also Small Medium Enterprise (SME) actors. Therefore, training in marketing strategy, packaging design, and appropriate media design is needed to reach the target market so that sales volume can increase. The training held contained the Urgency of Utilizing Digital Marketing for SME Products; Powerpoint Based Digital Packaging Design; Digital marketing through social media and marketplace; SME Product Marketing, Halal certification. The results of this activity increasing the knowledge of participants in utilizing online media as a means of product marketing. This provides an opportunity to expand the product market which can have an impact on increasing business turnover.

Abstract

Along with the increase in the food and household industries, demand for raw materials for cooking oil continues to increase, causing shortages and increasing prices of cooking oil. This causes cooking oil to be used repeatedly. Cooking oil that has been used repeatedly is called used cooking oil which contains many carcinogenic compounds that can be harmful to health. Therefore, this research aims to purify used cooking oil using palm fiber carbon to improve the quality of used cooking oil. Nipa palm fiber contains hemicellulose and cellulose so it has the potential to be used as a carbon source using the calcination method and carrying out proximate tests such as ash content, vapor content and bound carbon content. Next, it is applied in the process of purifying used cooking oil using the adsorption method. After that, several properties of used cooking oil were tested, such as density, flow rate, acid number and saponification number. The results obtained in this research for the proximate test of palm fruit fiber at a temperature of 250-400℃ have met the SNI 06-3730-2021 standard. Nypa palm fiber carbon in used cooking oil was proven to reduce the density value to 0.81 g/mL, flow rate 4.17 mL/s, acid number 3.6 mg/KOH and saponification value 427 mg/KOH.

Abstract

Formaldehyde was detected electrochemically using a modified glassy carbon electrode with a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) and a thin layer of gold (Au). Modification of MWCNT was carried out by drop coating, while modification of the thin layer of gold was carried out by sweeping-potential electrodeposition using the cyclic voltammetry method. The purpose of this study was to develop a formaldehyde sensor using Au/MWCNT/GCE and to determine the optimum conditions of the supporting electrolyte for formaldehyde measurement. The results showed that Au/MWCNT/GCE provided better catalytic activity than GCE, MWCNT/GCE and Au/GCE electrodes in the determination of formaldehyde. The optimum supporting electrolyte obtained was KOH with a test analyte concentration of 10 mM. The oxidation peak of formaldehyde I is at a potential of 0.0264 V and peak of oxidation of formaldehyde II is at a potential of 0.075 V.

Abstract

Manganese is one of the heavy metals that can pollute waters. This is caused by the use of pesticides and steel industry waste. Adsorption is one method that can be used to separate manganese metal. The adsorbent that is often used in adsorption is silica gel. However, the effectiveness of silica gel in absorbing heavy metal ions is very low, so modification is needed to increase the absorption capacity of silica gel to heavy metal ions. The purpose of this research is to obtain optimum conditions and sorption capacity of sulfonate-modified Silica-GPTMS in adsorbing Mn2+ ions and its adsorption isotherm. This study used batch method for adsorption process by varying pH and contact time. The results of absorption capacity at the optimum conditions of pH 4 and contact time 30 minutes.

Abstract

The synthesis of ZnO and ZnO/Au nanoparticles using the laser ablation method in liquid has been successfully carried out. Characterizing the optical properties of ZnO and ZnO/Au using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (Ocean Optic MAYA Pro 2000) measured in the wavelength range of 275-875 nm. The characterization results obtained are absorbance and band gap values of ZnO and ZnO/Au nanoparticles. This study found the absorbance values of ZnO nanoparticles at wavelengths 330 and 335 nm. After obtaining the absorbance value, the band gap value was analyzed for ZnO and ZnO/Au nanoparticles, respectively, 3.23 eV and 3.17 eV. The decrease in the band gap value in ZnO is due to the presence of Au in ZnO nanoparticles which can replace one of the lattices in the ZnO crystal structure.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian menganalisis Peran Bhabinkamtibmas dalam penanganan Tindak Pidana Ringan di Desa Onang Utara Kabupaten Majene 2. Untuk mengetahui, menganalisis serta mengevaluasi kendala Bhabinkamtibmas dalam penanganan Tindak Pidana Ringan di Desa Onang Utara Kabupaten Majene. Penelitian ini, jika dilihat tipenya maka penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum empiris dan dilakukan di Wilayah Hukum Kabupaten Majene. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah di lakukan bahwa Peran bhabinkamtibmas dalam pencegahan tindak pidana ringan di Desa Onang Utara Kabupaten Majene dengan cara Kunjungan Door to Door. 2. Kendala Peran bhabinkamtibmas dalam pencegahan tindak pidana ringan di Desa Onang Utara Kabupaten Majene berdasar pada beberapa faktor yaitu: Kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) personil yang ditugaskan menjadi Bhabinkamtibmas dari SMA Sederajat, Sarana dan prasarana masih sangat minim. The research objective is to analyze the role of Bhabinkamtibmas in handling light crimes in North Onang Village, Majene Regency 2. To find out, analyze and evaluate the obstacles of Bhabinkamtibmas in handling light crimes in North Onang Village, Majene Regency. If you look at the type of this research, it is empirical legal research conducted in the Majene Regency Legal Area. The results of this research show that: 1. Based on research that has been carried out, the role of Bhabinkamtibmas in preventing minor crimes in North Onang Village, Majene Regency is using door to door visits. 2. Constraints on the role of Bhabinkamtibmas in preventing minor crimes in North Onang Village, Majene Regency based on several factors, namely: The capacity of Human Resources (HR) of personnel assigned to Bhabinkamtibmas from high school and equivalent, Facilities and infrastructure are still very minimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mastery of students' mufrodat before and after the application of wordwall media and to determine the effect of wordwall media on the mastery of students' mufrodat in class III MIN 2 Samarinda. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design model. The results of the study were 1) The mastery of students' mufrodat before the application of wordwall media in the control class and the experimental class was very low. 2) Students' mastery of mufrodat after the application of wordwall media increased very significantly. 3) The influence of wordwall media on students' mastery of mufrodat is known by conducting several tests, namely to determine the direction and magnitude of the influence of wordwall media on students' mastery of mufrodat, researchers conducted a correlation test. Based on the results of the correlation test, obtained the value of sig. The 2-tailed value is 0.00 < 0.05 and the Pearson correlation value is 0.886 which indicates that there is a very strong relationship with students' mastery of mufrodat. To test the hypothesis, the researcher used the paired sample t test, while the sig. 2-tailed obtained is 0.00 <0.05, this indicates that there is an influence of wordwall media on students' mastery of mufrodat. And the results of the determination test of 0.779 showed that wordwall media had an effect of 77.9% on students' mastery of mufrodat.

Abstract

In today's digital era, playing games is no stranger to people all over the world. Especially for young subjects. RPG (Role Play Game) is one of the most played games by gamers from all over the world. Because having a good story is one of the most important things in this game. The reason is, the players have to interact with the NPC (Non Player Character). English is the only language they interact with. Plus the players always play with players from other countries. Considering that the players interact a lot using English, it makes them unknowingly learn language skills and language components. This study aims to describe and interpret the players' experience in playing RPG and its relation to learning language skills and language components that they learn while playing, as well as revealing how English skills can influence the emotions of the players. Phenomenological research is the type of research used. This type of research is in accordance with the topic used, because it helps researchers in finding the essence or meaning of RPG and its relationship with the players' English learning. There were three participants involved in this study. The three participants are players who have a lot of experience in playing RPG games, and have high playing skills so that researchers get detailed answers and explanations about their experiences in playing. The results of this study indicate that there are many interactions in English carried out by the players. Like listening to and reading instructions, expressing ideas and feelings by speaking or writing them, the players accidentally learn English. In addition, the player's English skills.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country. Where agriculture makes an important contribution to the economy and the fulfillment of people's basic needs. It is known that every 1 kg of rice produced, is able to produce 0.28 kg of rice husk. Rice husk is an agricultural waste that is abundant in nature. In this research, the effect of calcination time on silica obtained from rice husk has been determined. The purity level of the extracted silica is 99%. Silica that has been successfully extracted is then used in the TEOS synthesis process by varying the reaction time. A total of 1 mole of ethanol (58.4 ml) and 0.25 ml (7 grams) of silica powder were added to 250 ml neck flask 3 and the addition of alumnia catalyst as much as 1 gram, then the mixture was refluxed using 800C for 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 hours. The TEOS obtained was then subjected to several parameter tests that provide information about the physical and chemical conditions, so that this can provide information regarding the quality of the resulting solution. The measurements carried out are, Densiats solution testing, Viscosity and refractive index. From the data obtained the density value of TEOS is 0.986 g/ml - 0.995 g/ml, the viscosity value of TEOS is 0.8176 cps - 0.9337 cps and the refractive index value of TEOS is 1.356 - 1.360. While the yield obtained is from 82.11% - 54.74%.

Abstract

Porous silica is a solid silica material for chemical sensors. Porous materials can be divided into 3 categories based on pore size, namely microporous material with pore size less than 2 nm, mesoporous pore between 2 to 50 nm, and macropores with a pore size of more than 50 nm.This research was conducted to synthesize porous silica using sodium silicate with variations of snakehead fish skin gelatin (3% and 4%) using the sol-gel method. Snakehead fish skin gelatin was characterized using FTIR and porous silica was characterized using XRD and SEM. The results of the FTIR test on snakehead fish skin gelatin show that there are indicates that snakehead fish skin gelatin contains amide, carboxyl and carbonyl groups which can interact with sodium silicate. Characterization of porous silica using XRD shows that the resulting porous silica is crystalline. Meanwhile, SEM characterization shows a regular morphology at 4% which has the highest crystallinity and branched tube morphology.
