Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaaatan media video sistem gerak terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa SMAN 1 Sakti Pidie. Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest–posttest control group design. Pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan media video animasi dankelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisi data dilakukan dengan Uji (t test). Hasilnya diperolehnilai thitung 2,03, sedangkan ttabel yaitu 2,01 (α 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan nilai rata-rata antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda nyata (signifikan).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam belajar melalui media interaktif dengan pengembangan model pembelajaran discovery learning pada materi sistem indera manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan mei sampai dengan bulan juni 2014. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode one class eksperimen dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan lembar unjuk kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan kelas IPAA (n=31) sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dianalisis dengan menggunakan rubrik unjuk kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model discovery learning meningkatkan kreativitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini hanya menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen, jadi terlihat siswa mengalami peningkatan kreativitas belajar menjadi sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning melalui media interaktif dapat meningkatkan kreativitas belajar siswa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran diagram roundhouse disertai modul terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di MTsN Dewantara. Penelitian inidilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai dengan Juni 2014. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIMTsN Dewantara Aceh Utara, dengan dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas VII+ untuk kelas eksperimen berjumlah 30 siswa dan kelas VIIA untuk kelas kontrol berjumlah 30 siswa. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji-t(Independent Sample T-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran diagram roundhouse disertai modul terhadap kemampuan kognitif dengan thitung ttabel (8,185 2,002) pada taraf signifikansi 5%, dan mengalami peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dengan N-Gain lebih tinggi kelas eksperimen (71,71) dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (39,91). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran diagram roundhouse disertai modul berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di MTsN Dewantara.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia dengan penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh pada bulan April sampai dengan Mei 2014. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA dengan dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas XI_IA2 untuk kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 24 siswa dan kelas XI_IA4 untuk kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Analisis data dengan menggunakan rumus rerata N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia.

Penelitian tentang “Rekonstruksi Miskonsepsi Siswa pada Konsep Materi Genetik melalui Penerapan Model Learning Cycle 7e” telah dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sigli Kabupaten Pidie pada bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7e terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa, kemampuan rekonstruksi miskonsepsi siswa dan penurunan miskonsepsi siswa pada materi genetik. Metode yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas XII yang berjumlah 130 orang siswa. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 60 orang siswa yang dibagi kedalam dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal pilihan ganda model CRI. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara menghitung N-Gain dan selanjutnya membandingkan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan uji-t dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep, rekonstruksi miskonsepsi, dan penurunan miskonsepsi siswa pada konsep materi genetik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7e dibandingkan siswa kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok.

Research on Differences in Mercury Content in Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi and Osteochillus hasselti in Geumpang River, Geumpang Subdistrict and Mane Subdistrict Pidie Regency was conducted on October 11, 2016 to November 1, 2016. The objectives of the study were to analyze differences in mercury content in muscle tissue of Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi and Osteochillus hasselti that lives in the Geumpang River of Pidie Regency. The method used in mercury analysis is Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The results showed the average of total mercury content in Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi muscle tissue taken from Geumpang River at three observation stations was 0.0022 ppm, and the average of total mercury content in muscle tissue of Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi was 0.0007 ppm. The conclusion of this research is the average of mercury content in muscle tissue of Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi and Osteochillus hasselti fishes which were taken from Geumpang River are still on the recommended limit and there are differences of mercury content in the muscle tissue of Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi and Osteochillus hasselti in the area of Geumpang River of Pidie Regency.Keywords: Barbodes schiiwanenfeldi, Osteochillus hasselti, Geumpang River and Mercury.

This study aims to determine the density of the Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus) based on the method of defecation in the forest area peunaron East Aceh district. The data were collected from July 2016 until November 2016. Data collection for Sumatran elephant density was done bysurvey technique. By purposive sampling method. Analysis of elephant density data using defecation formula. This study provides results that the density of Sumatran elephants in East Aceh District 0.0066 up to 0.0051 oneindividual elephant requires 151 till 192 Km 2 / individual. The conclusion shows that the carrying capacity of Sumatran elephant habitat is poor.Keywords: Estimation, Elephant Population and East Aceh.

This study aims to determine the effect of application model discovery learning combined audiovisual media on student learning outcomes in the material excretory system. Data collected in February until March 2017. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with the matching only pretest-posttest control group design with sample 110 students. The research conducted in the experimental class and control class. The instrument used was a test to assess student learning outcomes. Analysis of data using test Mann Whitney U at significant level 0.05. The results showed Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05. Conclusion, The learning model discovery, learning combined audiovisual media significantly influence student learning outcomes in the material excretory system.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the nature exploration approach based discovery learning model on students learning critical thinking skills and student achievement. Data were collected in January until March 2017. The method used in this study is an quasi experimental method with pretest posttest control group design. Populations in this research are all student in class X MIPAat SMA Negeri Unggul Kota Banda Aceh is 854 student. The research was conducted in two schools: SMA Unggul Negeri 2 Boarding School and SMA Negeri 10 Fajar Harapan is 161 student. The instrument used was a tests to assess critical thinking skills and student achievement. Data analysis used independent sample t-test and Mann Whitney U Test with SPSS 17.0 for Windows at 0.05 significance level. The result showed that of significant critical thinking skills and students achievement 0,05 is significant 0,000 0,05. Conclusion the application of the nature exploration approach based discovery learning can significant effect that an increase in the ability of critical thinking skills and student achievement in the plant world at SMA Negeri Unggul Banda Aceh.Keywords: The Nature Exploration Approach, Discovery Learning and Plant World.

The objective of this study is to determine the improvement of students’ learning achievement and their attitudes toward science by applying the scientific approach and interactive multimedia on human reproductive system material. This research was conducted at MAN Darussalam located at Jl. Tgk Glee Iniem, No 01, Darussalam, Great Aceh from 1st to 25th May 2015. The method used is an experiment study that refers to pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study consists of 30 students divided into two groups; the experimental class and the control class. The sample of this study was decided by using purposive sampling technique. The parameter was the result of students’ cognitive and attitude toward science. The data were analyzed by using Gain and Normalization Gain (N-Gain), and T-Test to define the difference. The results showed that the influence of scientific and interactive multimedia approaches can improve students' learning achievement and attitude toward sciences. This can be seen from the students’ learning results with an average score of 55.48 (experimental class) and 45.32 (control class). While, the students' attitude toward science in the experimental class improved about 0.39 from which 3.06 was in the initial attitude and 3.45 was in the final attitude. On the other hand, the control class increased about 0.2 from a score of 2.9 initial attitudes to 3.1 on Student's final attitude. It showed that the implementation of scientific approaches and interactive multimedia is better than conventional methods.Keywords: Scientific and Interactive Multimedia, Learning Achievement and Attitude toward science and Human Reproductive System Material.
