Abstract

The development of audio-visual-based learning media does not have problems with media limitations and students' low interest in the learning process. The aim of the study was to develop an audio-visual-based learning media in history learning, and the feasibility of audio visual based learning media in history learning. This research is Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE model. The test subjects involved 36 students of class X IPA 4. Techniques and data collection instruments using questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study the development of audio-visual-based learning media on material about pre-literate human life in Indonesia was made using the Adobe Photoshop application. The level of utilization of the results of the validation of media experts, and learning experts, respectively with an average result of 4.73 (very good), 4.28 (very good), 4.50 (very good), and student results of 4.37 (very good). In conclusion, the audio-visual-based learning media developed is feasible to be used as a historical learning media. The implication is that there is a change in positive attitudes and student interest in learning history.

Abstract

Purpose—This research aims to explore the implementation of the exhibition-based differentiated classroom "Panen Raya Kelas Sejarah" and analyze its implications for developing the 4C skills needed in 21st-century education.Methodology – This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach at State High School 9 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were conducted comprehensively through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The sampling technique was purposive and included several subjects, such as the Vice Principal for Curriculum, Facilities, history teachers, and representatives of students from classes XI and XII of State High School 9 Yogyakarta. Data validity and validity were obtained through data triangulation techniques and analyzed using an interactive model.Findings—The research findings show that the "Panen Raya History Class" has represented a differentiated class that accommodates almost all learners' learning styles. In this context, support from school policymakers has a vital contribution, especially information on learners' psychological tests, time management for the implementation of independent classes, and provision of infrastructure. The successful implementation of the "Panen Raya Kelas Sejarah" has positive implications for improving the 4C skills of the 21st century, including critical thinking, creativity, innovation, communication, and collaboration.Significance – The results of the study are helpful as a reference for history teachers in the context of developing differentiated learning and increasing the ability of the 4Cs of the 21st century, as well as a portrait of the support of school policymakers to improve the quality of learning. Keywords : Differentiated, History Learning, Exhibition, 4C Skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengkaji gagasan pembaharuan pendidikan yang diajukan olehKyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan serta kiprahnya dalam perjuangan pendidikan pada masa kolonial; (2) mengkajidimensi pendidikan karakter dalam konsep pendidikan Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan sebagai dasarmenghadapi situasi pada zamannya; (3) mengkaji lebih lanjut pendidikan karakter berbasis agamamenurut Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakanpendekatan historis. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi dokumen sebagai metode utama. Studi dokumendilakukan terhadap sumber-sumber primer maupun sekunder. Selain studi dokumen, penelitian ini jugamenggunakan metode wawancara sebagai metode pelengkap. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap beberapapraktisi pendidikan Muhammadiyah dan Taman Siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama: kondisi pendidikan pemerintah kolonial yangdiskriminatif dan kondisi pendidikan Islam yang memprihatinkan, mendorong Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlanuntuk menyelenggarakan sekolah Muhammadiyah, yang memadukan pengetahuan umum denganpengajaran agama. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberi keseimbangan antara kecerdasan intelektual dengankecerdasan spiritual siswa. Kedua, pendidikan karakter Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan didasarkan pada ajaranIslam, yaitu iman, ilmu, dan amal. Pada prinsipnya, agama bukan sekedar sebagai pengetahuan saja, tetapiharus sampai pada amalan. Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan menolak sistem pendidikan pemerintah kolonialBelanda saat itu, yang diskriminatif dan sangat intelektualis. Ketiga, Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlanmenganggap penting dilaksanakannya pendidikan yang bersifat menyeluruh, dan dikelola dengan prinsipkekeluargaan. Pendidikan karakter berbasis agama dalam pendidikan akhlak menurut Kyai Haji AhmadDahlan mengedepankan konsep kesederhanaan, kedisiplinan, jiwa bebas/merdeka, serta akhlak yangmulia yang ditunjukkan dengan perilaku sesuai tuntunan agama, menjadi tujuan utama dalam konseppendidikannya. Mengenai proses pembelajarannya, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan sangat mementingkan prinsipketeladanan, dialog sebagai usaha penyadaran, serta prinsip amalan dalam keseharian untuk membentukkebiasaan berperilaku yang baik.

Abstract

Kendaraan pengangkut batu bara adalah salah satu penyebab kemacetan di jalan Ma Tembesi-Ma Bulian. Kemacetan terjadi akibat pergerakan kendaraan truk pengangkut batu bara yang berjumlah ratusan, dengan bergerak di jalan Ma Tembesi – Ma Bulian selalu beriring-iringan yang mengakibatkan kendaraan lain sulit untuk mendahuluinya. Dengan adanya iring-iringan kendaraan batu-bara waktu tempuh kendaraan lain untuk mendahului menjadi Panjang sehingga dapat mengakibatkan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Studi analisis waktu tempuh mendahului iring-iringan kendaraan truk batu bara ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Headway and spacing iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara serta mengetahui jarak pandang kendaraan lain mendahului iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara. Metoda penelitian ini menggunakan metoda deskriptif dengan mensurvey iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara. Dari hasil analisis untuk dua iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara Headway sebesar sebesar 2,17 detik dan spacing sebesar 29,17 m, 3 iringan headway sebesar 2,31 dan spacing sebesar 21,69 m, dan 5 iringan headway sebesar 2,65 dan spacing sebesar 23,60 m. Jarak pandang mendahului dua iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara sebesar 616.83 m, jarak pandang mendahului tiga iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara sebesar 718.41 m dan jarak pandang mendahului lima iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara sebesar 1161,57 m. semangkin banyak jumlah iring-iringan kendaraan batu bara mempengaruhi waktu tempuh kendaraan lain sampai tujuan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of a history research class at SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta that utilizes the development of critical thinking skills to build student character. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study at SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Sampling was done by purposive sampling involving subjects such as history teachers and some grade X students; then analyzed using the interactive model data triangulation technique. The results showed that the systematic implementation of history research classes was intended to provide students with a deeper understanding in a practical way. In addition to introducing regional identity, the use of local history of Yogyakarta Special Region as a learning resource can also accelerate knowledge transfer. Interestingly, history teachers at SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta try to update Kuntowijoyo's research method by presenting digital sources to reconstruct historical events. In addition to fulfilling the six indicators of critical thinking skills, the implementation of history research classes also internalizes character education. This research implies that the development of critical thinking skills in history learning has a positive impact on student character building. The results of this study can be useful as an alternative reference regarding the history learning model.

Abstract

The development of Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in the national curriculum has undergone a significant transformation over time. At first, social studies teaching was based more on a traditional approach that focused on rote memorization of historical facts and geography. However, with the development of a more progressive educational approach, social studies underwent changes that included an interdisciplinary approach, the use of information technology, contextual teaching, and the empowerment of student skills. Changes in social studies teaching reflect the evolution of views on social science and educational goals Thus, these subjects no longer only focus on factual knowledge, but also introduce the social, economic, and political principles underlying social phenomena. Social studies aim to develop an in-depth understanding of the complexities of society and equip students with the critical thinking skills necessary to participate in modern society. The development of social studies also reflects changes in the issues emphasized in learning. Newer national curricula pay more attention to global issues such as climate change, international trade, and human rights. Social studies teach students about the social and environmental impacts of social policies and phenomena and encourage them to participate in positive social change. This research is descriptive qualitative research that explains how the transformation from time to time in Social sciences in the national curriculum. The results achieved in this study constitute the history of the development of social sciences.

Abstract

Particulate emissions from boiler activities are known has a negative impact on health, such as causing respiratory problems. The particulate emission dispersion model generated from the chimney of a boiler can be known using the aermod modeling tool, through this model, the concentration of particulate emissions received by the environment around the activity can be studied. The design of the boiler chimney is also known to affect the concentration of particulate matter that is dispersed. This study aims to determine the effect of chimney design on the distribution of particulate emissions from boilers activities. The particulate dispersion model was carried out using the aermod modeling tool with several fixed variables, namely climatic conditions, the location of chimney and reseptor, and particulate emissions coming out from boiler, while the independent variables were variations in chimney diameter and heights. The results of particulate distribution model show that chimneys with a diameter of 2 meters and a height of 28 meters have a wider distribution of 93.96 meters from the emission source with a maximum concentration of 29.41 µm/Nm3. While the lowest concentration received by the receptor of 2.51 µm/Nm3 came from the chimney with a larger diameter and higher chimney.

Abstract

Integrating the Javanese Local Tradition of Selametan into History Learning Projects to Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila-Based Student Character . Objectives: This study aims to explore the history and perspectives of the Javanese community in viewing local selametan traditions and character values relevant to the Profile of Pancasila-Based Student Character. This research also analyses how history teachers can internalise these character values in learning that is integrated with the local selametan tradition. Methods: This research uses a qualitative case study design with data collection techniques through non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and literature review. The consideration for selecting a single case study design focused on SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta was not only based on the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in history integrated with the local Javanese tradition of selametan, but also on the uniqueness of the school, which claims to be The Art and Cultural School. Content analysis was used to interpret secondary data related to history and the meaning of the local selametan tradition. Additionally, the single case study design was employed to explore how the internalisation of character values occurs in history learning practices. Sampling techniques were conducted using purposive sampling, considering exclusion and inclusion criteria, involving several subjects such as the Vice Principal for Curriculum, history teachers, and student representatives from grade X at State Senior High School 9, Yogyakarta. Data validity and reliability were obtained through source triangulation techniques and analysed using an interactive model. Findings: The findings indicate that the local tradition of selametan has an important position in the perspective of the Javanese community, is relevant to the history material on Community Life in the Indonesian Archipelago during the Islamic Period, and contains character values that are in line with the Profile of Pancasila-Based Student Character (P5), namely religious, critical thinking, global diversity, independence, creativity, and cooperation. To internalise these character values, the researcher utilised three stages of development proposed by Thomas Lickona, encompassing moral knowledge, moral feelings, and moral actions. Conclusion: The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with the local Javanese tradition of selametan serves as a historical learning design that not only enhances students' cognitive understanding but also has the potential to positively impact the development of character traits aligned with the Profile of Pancasila-Based Student Character (P5). Keywords: contextual, local java tradition, selametan, project-based learning, history learning.

Abstract

In the power plants operation, the combustion process will produce particulate emissions. Particulate emissions themselves are known have a negative impact on health, such as causing respiratory problems. The pattern of particulate emissions from boiler chimneys needs to be studied to minimize the spread of pollution to the environment. The particulate emission dispersion model generated from the chimney of a boiler can be known using the aermod modeling tool, through this model, the concentration of particulate emissions received by the environment around the activity can be studied. The design of the boiler chimney is also known to affect the concentration of particulate matter that is dispersed. This study aims to determine the effect of chimney design on the distribution of particulate emissions from boilers. The particulate dispersion model was carried out using the aermod modeling tool with the independent variables were variations in chimney heights of 21 meters and 25 meters. From the dispersion analysis, it can be seen that the 21-meter chimney results in higher emission concentrations at close range because the lower chimney causes less optimal dispersion and tends to have a more significant local impact due to higher emission concentrations near the source. The 25-meter chimney provides better dispersion results more effective in dispersing pollutants over a wider area. The result of this research is consistent with plume rise theory and the Gaussian dispersion model, which states that the higher the stack, the more potential for the released flue gas and particulates to disperse vertically and horizontally before reaching ground level. Taller chimneys allow emissions to be released at a higher altitude, which can reduce particulate concentrations in the area around the plant or industrial installation. As the stack height increases, emissions are dispersed more widely in the atmosphere, so the potential for pollutant accumulation in areas near the source is reduced

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang dituangkan dalam tradisi lisan berupa larangan-larangan di Kampung Naga, yang terletak di Desa Neglasari, Kecamatan Salawu, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan fenomenologi dengan desain kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian melibatkan Kampung Naga, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, dengan partisipasi tokoh adat dan masyarakat sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik MB Miles dan AM Huberman (1984), meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Larangan-larangan yang terdapat di Kampung Naga mencakup berbagai aspek, seperti larangan menyebut “Singaparna,” larangan memasuki Bumi Ageung, larangan terkait perilaku, larangan pada hari-hari tertentu, larangan makanan, larangan pertunjukan wayang golek, larangan pembangunan rumah, larangan di hutan, dan larangan dalam pertanian. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter, termasuk nilai kepatuhan yang diabadikan dalam tradisi larangan di Kampung Naga.
