Abstract

Specimen preservation is an effort to maintain the original condition of living creatures so that they can be used for educational and research purposes. There are two ways of preserving, namely wet preservation and dry preservation. This research aims to determine the feasibility of preserved specimens of arthropod fauna block resin as a biology learning medium and to determine students' responses to arthropod fauna block resin preserved specimens as a biology learning medium. The development model carried out in this research is a 4D development model with development procedures including the stages of define, design, develop and disseminate. The trial involved class X MIPA 1 students as test subjects. Data obtained from material experts, media experts, and students were analyzed descriptively to evaluate the suitability of learning media. The feasibility results for preserved resin block specimens of arthropod fauna from material expert validation results were 77.8% with good criteria. In comparison, for media expert validation results the percentage was 88.8% with excellent criteria. Meanwhile, data from student responses, and learning media in the form of preserved specimens of resin blocks of arthropod fauna, received very interesting criteria with a percentage of 92%. This research is expected to produce preserved specimens of resin blocks of arthropod fauna that are suitable for use as biology learning media, by the needs of students and technological developments in the world of education.

Abstract

Polyploidy is a condition when the individual has more than two genomes, this polyploidy phenomenon is common in fern plants and one of the causes that is suspected to cause polyploidy events is cold temperatures. Therefore, this research aims to determine the level of ploidi fern vegetables (Diplazium esculentum) at different altitude in Semeru Mountain. This research is an experimental research using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The object used is the Diplazium esculentum taken from different altitude (500 masl, 1500 masl, and 2500 masl) in Semeru Mountain. The next step is making the preparatory and chromosomal counts were then calculated on 5 root hood cells and each cell was counted for 3 repetitions. The data obtained were analyzed by one way Anova analysis with SPSS. The research results showed that there were differences in ploidy levels of Diplazium esculentum at different altitude indicated by F count (126.849) > F table 0,05 (3.885). Diplazium esculentum located at an heights of 500 masl showed the result of diploid cytological type (2n) which has an average number of chromosomes was 62.934; at an heights of 1500 masl indicated the result of triploid cytological type (3n) which has an average number of chromosomes was 80.334; while at an heights of 2500 masl has an average number of chromosomes as much as 106.4 with tetraploid cytological type results (4n). Thus it can be concluded that there is a difference in ploidy level of Diplazium esculentum at each altitude in Semeru Mountain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi dan identifikasi tumbuhan Bryophyta (lumut) dan Pteridophyta (paku-pakuan) di Kebun Raya Purwodadi Pasuruan. Tujuan spesifiknya adalah untuk mengidentifikasi spesies Bryophyta dan Pteridophyta yang paling banyak dan paling sedikit ditemukan berdasarkan habitatnya, serta mengetahui manfaat dan potensi kedua kelompok tumbuhan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah inventarisasi eksploratif dengan teknik survei jalur (transect sampling), di mana area penelitian dibagi menjadi beberapa zona habitat, seperti hutan, tepi sungai, dan area berbatu. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, dokumentasi morfologi menggunakan kamera, serta pencatatan hasil observasi pada tabel pengamatan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui jumlah spesies, persebaran, dan keanekaragaman Bryophyta dan Pteridophyta di lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 jenis Bryophyta dan 10 jenis Pteridophyta di Kebun Raya Purwodadi Pasuruan. Jenis Bryophyta yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Leucobryum glaucum (lumut bantalan) dengan 72 spesimen, sedangkan yang paling sedikit adalah Ceratodon purpureus (lumut api) dengan 21 spesimen. Sementara itu, jenis Pteridophyta yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Nephrolepis cordifolia (paku acel) dengan 28 spesimen, dan yang paling sedikit adalah Angiopteris evecta (paku gajah) dengan 7 spesimen. Kedua kelompok tumbuhan ini memiliki peran penting dalam ekosistem, seperti pencegahan erosi, stabilisasi tanah, serta penyediaan habitat mikro. Selain itu, Bryophyta dan Pteridophyta memiliki potensi besar dalam bidang farmasi dan konservasi Keanekaragaman Hayati. Namun, beberapa spesies menghadapi ancaman berupa perubahan habitat dan tekanan lingkungan, sehingga diperlukan upaya konservasi yang lebih intensif untuk memastikan keberlanjutan populasinya.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengaktifkan kembali serta mengembangkan Website Sistem Informasi Desa (SID) guna menunjang pelayanan publik di Desa Pesantren, Jombang. SID sendiri merupakan sistem berbasis komputer yang dirancang untuk mengelola data, dan dapat dijalankan secara daring maupun luring oleh aparatur desa. Pemanfaatan SID diharapkan dapat mempercepat proses dokumentasi data, distribusi informasi, serta pelayanan kepada masyarakat secara lebih efisien dan akurat. Melalui website ini, data desa dapat disajikan secara lebih sistematis dan informatif, mencakup antara lain kinerja perangkat desa dan potensi wilayah desa. Program pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan utama: perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan website mendapat respon positif dari perangkat desa karena dinilai mampu meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan data kependudukan serta pelayanan kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

The topic of classification of living organisms at the high school level still necessitates practical activities to foster students' kinesthetic skills, in addition to their critical and creative thinking abilities. Utilizing herbarium as a learning medium offers a solution to this challenge. The herbarium-making training aims to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge through hands-on practical engagement. This approach is expected to provide students with diverse learning experiences throughout the educational process. Furthermore, students can also hone their creative thinking skills by participating in this herbarium-making training. This research employed a multi-stage methodology, including preparation, interviews, training, and evaluation. The findings of this study were derived from student response questionnaires regarding their learning experience with the herbarium-making training. The results showed that 100% of students found learning through herbarium creation to be highly enjoyable, and 87% of students indicated that this herbarium-making activity enhanced their hard skills and creative abilities

Abstract

Ecopreneurship merupakan kemampuan mengelola dan memanfaatkan peluang yang diberikan alam secara kreatif dan inovatif untuk menjadi produk yang memberikan keuntungan secara financial. Budidaya sistem aquaponik merupakan metode inovatif yang menggabungkan budidaya ikan dengan tanaman secara bersamaan. Sistem ini memanfaatkan interaksi antara ikan, tanaman, dan bakteri untuk menciptakan suatu ekosistem yang seimbang dan berkelanjutan. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan ini adalah sebagai altrenatif pemanfaatan limbah botol plastik dan sebagai salah satu sumber pendapatan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga guna meningkatkan ketahanan pangan secara mandiri.  Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu ceramah, demonstrasi dan praktek. Bahan dan peralatan yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah botol bekas ukuran 1,5 liter, gelas plastik bekas, sistem irigasi (selang dan kran), pompa air, paralon rangka kolam, terpal kolam, kabel ties, lem tembak, bibit tanaman, tanah humus dan cocpeat, bibit ikan dan pakan ikan, paranet sedangkan peralatannya adalah gunting, gergaji, palu, tang, solder listrik, dan alat lem tembak. Angket terlebih dahulu di uji validtas dan uji reliabilitas hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa semua item pernyataan telah valid nilai r-hitung>0,369 sedangkan uji reliabiltas menunjuukan hasil 0,751 >0,6 dapat dikatakan bahwa semua item pernyataan telah reliabel. Respon mitra setelah dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini adalah terdapat rata-rata 4 orang menjawab dengan pilihan jawaban setuju dan 21 memilih jawaban dengan pilihan jawaban sangat setuju. Hal ini memberikan indikasi bahwa peserta (mitra) sangat puas dan antusias dengan adanya kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Pelecehan seksual terhadap anak perempuan merupakan permasalahan serius yang membutuhkan penanganan sejak dini melalui edukasi dan pemberdayaan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan keterampilan murid perempuan kelas 6 SD Negeri Karang Setia 03 dalam mengenali dan mencegah pelecehan seksual. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, diskusi kelompok kecil, simulasi situasi, serta pembagian media edukasi cetak yang menarik dan sesuai usia. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan mahasiswa kebidanan, guru, dan dosen pembimbing dalam suasana partisipatif dan komunikatif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa mengenai bentuk-bentuk pelecehan seksual, keberanian untuk berkata "tidak", serta kesiapan melaporkan tindakan yang tidak pantas. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan edukasi ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran perlindungan diri di kalangan murid perempuan dan direkomendasikan untuk dilakukan secara berkelanjutan guna menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan ramah anak.

Abstract

This study aims to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning Model (PBL) in improving the learning outcomes of class X Office Management (MP) 1 students on the material of social interaction and dynamics at private vocational secondary schools 1 Jombang. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 34 students who were all used as respondents through saturated sampling techniques. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the PBL model. The average pretest score of students before problem-based learning was 73, while the average posttest score increased to 82. In addition, students' responses to this learning model were also very positive, with increased motivation and involvement in the learning process. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL model is effective in improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers apply this method more often to improve student activity and understanding. In addition, further research is recommended to consider the characteristics and needs of students so that learning can run more optimally.

Abstract

Learning in the classroom with less varied media causes students to tend to be bored in the learning process in the classroom. Students have never heard of the term booklet and have never used booklet learning media on medicinal plant biodiversity. This study aims to describe the results of the validation of booklet learning media material experts and the results of media expert validation of the use of booklet learning media on the diversity of medicinal plants in Peluk Hamlet as a learning medium. The type of research used is the type of development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analayze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. This research is limited to the Development stage. The data collection instrument in this development research is in the form of a validation questionnaire. The validation of the booklet media instrument was carried out by two validators, namely material expert validators and media expert validators. The data analysis technique used is data obtained by researchers from expert validators and then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study showed that the validation value by material experts was 91.25% declared very valid and the validation results of media experts were 92.5% declared very valid.
