Abstract

One of the objectives of mathematics learning is to equip students with problem-solving skills. Each student has different abilities in solving problems, and one of the influencing factors is personality. This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities based on the APOS theory (Action, Process, Object, Schema) in terms of David Keirsey's personality types among eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Lombok Timur in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a qualitative approach with purposive sampling as the technique for determining research subjects. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the guardian-type subject was only able to complete 3 out of 4 APOS stages: action, process, and object. The artisan-type subject was only able to complete 2 out of 4 APOS stages: action and process. The rational-type subject was able to complete all APOS stages: action, process, object, and schema. The idealist-type subject was also able to complete all APOS stages: action, process, object, and schema. Thus, it can be concluded that subjects with rational and idealist personality types have better problem-solving abilities than those with guardian and artisan personality types.

Abstract

Story problems are problems related to real life that contain a problem to be solved. Solving story problems requires the ability to understand the content of the problem. However, many students still experience difficulties in solving story problems. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of errors and their causes among students with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles in the Pythagorean theorem material. Error analysis was conducted based on Newman's procedure. The subjects of this study were student in class VIII-1 of SMPN 3 Mataram for the 2024/2025 academic year, selected using purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, story problem tests, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed: (i) students with a visual learning style made errors in problem transformation and writing conclusions. The causes of errors made by visual learners include being careless in determining formulas, incorrectly illustrating known information, mistakenly determining formulas, not knowing the steps to solve the problem, and errors in previous stages. (ii) Students with an auditory learning style made errors in problem transformation, process skills, and writing conclusions. The causes of errors made by auditory learners include being careless in performing calculations, confusion in determining formulas, and errors in previous stages. (iii) Students with a kinesthetic learning style make errors in problem transformation, process skills, and writing conclusions. The causes of errors made by kinesthetic learners include incorrectly illustrating information, not knowing how to solve problems, answering arbitrarily, and errors in the calculation process.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman konsep pada proses pembelajaran matematika mengakibatkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran inovatif seperti IMPROVE untuk membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari model pembelajaran IMPROVE terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas VII SMPN 15 Mataram tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan desain eksperimen posttest only control design, melibatkan 68 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster sampling dengan jumlah siswa kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas VII-B sebanyak 34 siswa dan kelas VII-A sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 34 siswa. Data diperoleh melalui posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan dianalisis menggunakan uji prasyarat statistik, yaitu uji normalitas dan homogenitas, dilanjutkan dengan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, serta perhitungan effect size. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan  dan  sehingga . Hal ini didukung oleh uji effect size sebesar  dengan kategori sedang.  Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran IMPROVE berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VII SMPN 15 Mataram tahun ajaran 2025/2026.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepraktisan worksheet statistika berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) berorientasi pada kemampuan numerasi berdasarkan respon guru SMP. Penelitian merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan yang berfokus pada tahap uji kepraktisan produk. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas delapan guru matematika SMP yang memberikan penilaian terhadap worksheet menggunakan angket respon guru. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket dengan 25 butir pernyataan menggunakan skala Likert empat tingkat yang mencakup aspek tampilan, penyajian materi, penerapan Problem Based Learning, pengembangan kemampuan numerasi, dan kemudahan penggunaan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan skor rata-rata dan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan kategori kepraktisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa worksheet memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 81,33 dari skor maksimum 100 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Guru menilai bahwa worksheet mudah digunakan, memiliki penyajian yang sistematis, mendukung penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, serta berpotensi membantu mengembangkan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik. Beberapa masukan yang diberikan guru berkaitan dengan penyempurnaan materi, aktivitas penemuan konsep, dan peningkatan kualitas tampilan. Dengan demikian, worksheet yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung pembelajaran statistika di SMP.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dalam pembelajaran matematika mendorong pemanfaatan media digital, salah satunya Augmented Reality (AR), untuk membantu peserta didik memahami konsep-konsep abstrak, khususnya pada materi geometri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tren penelitian, karakteristik media, efektivitas, serta tantangan implementasi media pembelajaran geometri berbasis AR pada jenjang pendidikan menengah melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Proses kajian dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi, seleksi, ekstraksi data, dan sintesis tematik terhadap artikel penelitian yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian mengenai media pembelajaran geometri berbasis AR mengalami perkembangan yang positif dan sebagian besar berfokus pada pengujian efektivitas media. Media berbasis AR terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, kemampuan spasial, motivasi, dan keterlibatan peserta didik melalui penyajian visualisasi objek geometri tiga dimensi yang lebih konkret dan interaktif. Selain itu, media yang dikembangkan umumnya telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Namun, implementasi AR masih menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan perangkat, kesiapan guru, dan kebutuhan akan desain pembelajaran yang mendukung. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan AR dalam pembelajaran geometri perlu diarahkan pada integrasi teknologi dengan strategi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik agar dapat memberikan dampak yang optimal dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in developing and implementing geometry learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) using the Assemblr platform. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage included a needs analysis of participants and the development of training materials. The implementation stage involved the delivery of materials on the concept of Augmented Reality in mathematics education and demonstrations of the use of the Assemblr platform. The evaluation stage was conducted by collecting participants' responses to the training activities. The results indicated that the participants were able to understand the basic concepts of Augmented Reality and utilize simple geometry learning media developed using the Assemblr platform. In addition, participants provided positive responses regarding the training materials, delivery methods, and the usefulness of AR technology in supporting geometry learning. The activity successfully improved teachers' knowledge and skills in utilizing digital technology as a learning medium. Therefore, training on the use of the Assemblr platform can serve as an effective alternative for supporting the development of more interactive and innovative geometry learning media in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine differences in mathematical representation ability between students taught using the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative model and those taught using the direct learning model, as well as to determine the effect of the TTW model on ninth-grade students at SMPN 16 Mataram in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of all ninth-grade students at SMPN 16 Mataram. Samples were selected using cluster random sampling: class IX C as the experimental class (TTW model) and class IX A as the control class (direct learning model). Research instruments included teaching modules, observation sheets, and tests of mathematical representation ability. The t-test results showed a difference in the average mathematical representation ability between the two classes. The experimental class obtained a higher average score (71) than the control class (58.1). The effect size analysis indicated that the effect was in the moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a difference in mathematical representation ability between the two groups, and the application of the TTW cooperative model has a moderate effect on the mathematical representation ability of ninth-grade students at SMPN 16 Mataram.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan strategi jigsaw learning terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi matriks kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pringgarata tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pringgarata tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yang menghasilkan siswa kelas XI.7 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI.3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pada kelompok eksperimen diterapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan strategi jigsaw learning, sedangkan kelompok kontrol diterapkan model pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen penelitian meliputi modul ajar, lembar observasi, dan tes prestasi belajar. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa nilai dan sehingga berarti ditolak. Artinya terdapat perbedaan rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, dimana rata-rata nilai post-test prestasi belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 87,625 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yang memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 74,133, dengan pengaruh yang diberikan berada pada kategori tinggi berdasarkan hasil uji effect size sebesar . Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan strategi jigsaw learning terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pringgarata tahun ajaran 2025/2026.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan powerpoint interaktif dan LKPD terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Mataram tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental dengan posttest-only kontrol design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Mataram tahun ajaran 2025/2026, dengan sampel penelitian yang terdiri dari 62 orang siswa, yaitu 32 orang siswa kelas eksperimen dan 30 orang siswa kelas kontrol, yang ditentukan melalui cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi modul ajar, lembar observasi, dan soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-t menunjukan bahwa nilai Sehingga terdapat perbedan rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dimana rata-rata nilai kelas kelas eksperimen adalah sebesar 77,53 lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai pada kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 69,10 dengan pengaruh yang diberikan berada pada kategori sedang berdasarkan hasil uji effect size sebesar . Dengan demikian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan powerpoint interaktif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Mataram tahun ajaran 2025/2026.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect and the magnitude of the effect of the Error Analysis Based Learning model on the mathematical literacy ability of eighth-grade students at SMPN 13 Mataram during the 2025/2026 academic year. This research was a quasi experiment with a posttest only control group design. The population of this study was all 11 eighth-grade classes, totaling 426 students. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling technique, resulting in two classes: class VIII-I as the control class with 38 students, which used Direct Instruction, and class VIII-F as the experimental class with 38 students, which used the Error Analysis Based Learning model. Data were collected through a mathematical literacy ability test and analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the data analysis, the average mathematical literacy ability score of the experimental class students (81.71) was higher than that of the control class (51.75). The result of the Two-Tailed Independent Samples t-test showed a significance value (sig) of 0.000<0.05, meaning there was a significant difference in the average mathematical literacy ability scores between the control and experimental classes. The magnitude of the effect, calculated using the effect size formula, was 2.220, which indicates that the influence provided falls into the very high category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Error Analysis Based Learning model has a significant effect on the mathematical literacy ability of eighth-grade students at SMPN 13 Mataram.
