Abstract

The absence of a tourism village development strategy can result in the potential of Tritik Village not being utilized properly as a tourist destination. This development strategy aims to help the community plan the development of their area as a tourist village so that they have an understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Researchers with the community formulate a strategy using a SWOT analysis that has been identified through interviews and observations through community empowerment activities in Tritik Village. Researchers present the results of the identification of the factors which are then processed into a SWOT analysis diagram so that they can help the community and stakeholders better understand and analyze it so that the right strategy is obtained in developing a tourist village in the Tritik Village area. The results of this study indicate that the strategy that can be applied is the Strenght Opportunity strategy in which the strategy is carried out by utilizing all strengths to seize and take advantage of opportunities as much as possible.

Abstract

Immigration Office, as a public sector organization, faces challenges in meeting increasingly complex demands for public service. One of these challenges is the requirement for employees to possess adaptive capabilities in addressing various task related demands. This study is designed to examine how abusive supervision and role conflict contribute to the decline of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) through perceptions of illegitimate tasks as a mediating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using covariance-based SEM analytical techniques. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, consisting on a five point Likert scale. The population consist of all non-structural civil servants across 126 Immigration Offices within two regional offices throughout Indonesia, with a total of 347 respondents obtained as the sample. The sample was selected using purposive sampling based on the criteria of non-structural employees and analyzed using IBM SPSS AMOS. The variables used in this study include abusive supervision (X1) as an independent variable, role conflict (X2) as independent variables, illegitimate tasks (Z) as a mediating variable, and OCB (Y) as a dependent variable. The result indicate that abusive supervision and role conflict have a positive and significant effect on illegitimate tasks. Illegitimate tasks has a negative and significant effect on OCB. Illegitimate tasks also mediates the relationship between abusive supervision, role conflict, and OCB. Abstract

Objective: This study purposefully analyses innovative work behaviour that is directly or indirectly influenced by task conflict through constructive conflict mediation, with supervisor support for innovation as a moderator. Design/Methods/Approach: The study participants consisted of 333 employees working in the R&D and Marketing divisions of eight subsidiaries of the food and beverage industry. Hypothesis testing using AMOS as software for SEM. Findings: This study showed that there was a positive and significant effect of task conflict on innovative work behavior. In addition, task conflict also had a positive and significant effect on constructive conflict. Furthermore, constructive conflict mediates the relationship between task conflict and innovative work behavior. However, this study found no significant moderating effect of supervisor support for innovation in the relationship between constructive conflict and innovative work behavior. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the existing literature on Constructive Controversy Theory by exploring the relationship between task conflict and innovative work behavior, while uniquely analyzing the mediating role of constructive conflict and the moderating role of supervisor support on innovation, aspects that have not been fully addressed in previous studies. Practical/Policy implication: These findings have implications for organizations to encourage constructive conflict optimally to enhance innovative work behavior. Organizations should encourage employees to manage conflict effectively by applying the principles of constructive conflict. HR managers of food and beverage companies seeking to increase employees’ innovative work behavior should be able to manage task conflicts constructively through open discussions that can produce new solutions.
