Abstract

Currently, volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) have become unavoidable problems. In addition, knowledge or information that is not managed properly can result in inappropriate decision-making processes within an organization. Business Intelligence conception is then becoming an essential view for converting unstructured data and information into a more actionable strategic plan that allows organizations to make competitive decisions. Village Government (VG) is the smallest organization in the Indonesian government system because VG implemented regulation and development programs in all areas of a national government. VG executes a series of tasks every year starting from planning, budgeting, administrating, executing, and reporting. However, the important role of VG in the development of a country brings also some drawbacks such as corruption and other domino effects. Several factors have been identified that cause those problems such as lack of capabilities in managing village organization and human resources quality. Monitoring and evaluation regarding those VG performances normally have been done each year. However, measurable evaluation standard for VG performance until recently has not been determined nationally. This study is intended to make a comprehensive standard of village government performance assessment through a Good Governance Framework approach. This study involved 198 villages from Madiun Regency as a case study. Seventy-four measured parameters were proposed to evaluate VG performance mapping. Fuzzy TOPSIS is implemented to rank those 198 villages into 4 groups of VG performance levels. The fuzzy TOPSIS classification result has been validated by using manual scoring and the accuracy reached 86,4%.

Abstract

Analysis of DC-DC converters are arranged in parallel with the inductor parameters which are different from what discussed in this paper. Buck DC-DC converter using non-identical model, that is different in the value of inductance which is L1 ≠ L2 ≠ L3. Research techniques are taken from the difference of current flows of each converter i.e. I1-I2 and I1- I3 and the reference current is I1. This current difference results are used as input controller. PID and Fuzzy Inference System with 5 gbell membership function are used as a controller. The results of this study indicate a significant system performance. Output voltage ripple is 10 mV with the total output current is 63.7 Ampere. Each DC-DC converter provides a current of contribution to the load 21.28 Ampere. The difference of the current distribution of each converter module range is 1mA - 4mA RMS (Root Mean Square) using PID control, while using Fuzzy Logic Control for differences in the distribution of current is 0.1 mA RMS and the output voltage is 48 volt. Fuzzy Logic Control performance has shown an improvement of control systems to reduce the output voltage ripple and the ability to share load current equally into each DC-DC converter.

Abstract

The visualization of plant growth modeling using computer simulation has rarely been conducted with Lindenmayer System (L-System) approach. L-System generally has been used as framework for improving and designing realistic modeling on plant growth. It is one kind of tools for representing plant growth based on grammar sintax and mathematic formulation. This research aimed to design modeling and visualizing plant growth structure generated using L-System. The environment on modeling design used three dimension graphic on standart OpenGL format. The visualization on system design has been developed by some of L-System grammar, and the output graphic on three dimension reflected on plant growth as a virtual plant growth system. Using some of samples on grammar L-System rules for describing of the charaterictics of plant growth, the visualization of structure on plant growth has been resulted and demonstrated.

Abstract

Determining the Standard Value of the Oily Distortion of Acquisition the Fingerprint Images. This research describes a novel procedure for determining the standard value of the oily distortion of acquisition the fingerprint images based on the score of clarity and ridge-valley thickness ratio. The fingerprint image is quantized into blocks size 32 x 32 pixels. Inside each block, an orientation line, which perpendicular to the ridge direction, is computed. The center of the block along the ridge direction, a two-dimension (2-D) vector V1 (slanted square) with the pixel size 32 x 13 pixels can be extracted and transformed to a vertical 2-D vector V2. Linear regression can be applied to the onedimension (1-D) vector V3 to find the determinant threshold (DT1). The lower regions than DT1 are the ridges, otherwise are the valleys. Tests carried out by calculating the clarity of the image from the overlapping area of the gray-level distribution of ridge and valley that has been separated. Thickness ratio size of the ridge to valley, it is computation per block, the thickness of ridge and valley obtained from the gray-level values per block of image in the normal direction toward the ridge, the average values obtained from the overall image. The results shown that the standard value of the oily distortion of acquisition the fingerprint image is said to oily fingerprint when the images have local clarity scores (LCS) is between 0.01446 to 0.01550, global clarity scores (GCS) is between 0.01186 to 0.01230, and ridge-valley thickness ratio (RVTR) is between 6.98E-05 to 7.22E-05.

Abstract

Purpose: The dengue epidemic has an increasing number of sufferers and spreading areas along with increased mobility and population density. Therefore, it is necessary to control and prevent Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) by mapping a DHF contingency plan. However, mapping a dengue contingency plan is not easy because clinical and managerial issues, vector control, preventive measures, and surveillance must be considered. This work introduces a cluster-based dengue contingency planning method by grouping patient cases according to their environment and demographics, then mapping out a plan and selecting the appropriate plan for each area. Methods: We used clustering with silhouette scoring to select features, the best cluster formation, the best clustering method, and cluster severity. Cluster severity is carried out by levelling the attributes of the average value to low, medium, high, and extreme, which are related to the plans each region sets for village type and season type.Result: In five years of data (2016-2020) ±15K cases from Semarang City, Indonesia, feature selection results show that environmental and demography group features have the biggest silhouette score. With these features, it is found that K-Means has a high silhouette score compared to DBSCAN and agglomerative with three optimum numbers of clusters. K-Means also successfully mapped the cluster severity and assigned the cluster to a suitable contingency policy.Novelty: Most of the research on DHF cases is about predicting DHF cases and measuring the risk of DHF occurrence. There are not many studies that discuss the policy recommendations for dengue control.

Abstract

Bukalapak is one of the largest marketplaces in Indonesia. Reviews on Bukalapak are only in the form of text, images, videos, and stars without any special filters. Reading and analyzing manually makes it difficult for potential buyers. To help with this, we can extract this review by using aspect-based sentiment analysis because an entity cannot be represented by just one sentiment. Several previous research stated that using LSTM-CNN got better results than using LSTM or CNN. In addition, using BERT as word embedding gets better results than using word2vec or glove. For this reason, this study aims to classify aspect-based sentiment analysis from the Bukalapak marketplace with BERT as word embedding and using the LSTM-CNN method, where LSTM is for aspect extraction and CNN for sentiment extraction. Based on testing the LSTM-CNN method, it gets better results than LSTM or CNN. The LSTM-CNN model gets an accuracy of 93.91%. Unbalanced dataset distribution can affect model performance. With the increasing number of datasets used, the accuracy of a model will increase. Classification without using stemming on datasets can increase accuracy by 2.04%.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country located on the equator. The average intensity of solar radiation in Indonesia is 4.8 kWh/m2. This makes Indonesia a country with new and ren ewable energy potential, one of which is solar panel technology. The first step that must be done in the process of installing solar panels in a place is to analyze the potential of solar energy. In this study, an analysis of the potential of solar energy as a new renewable energy source has been carried out at Budi Luhur University, North Petukangan, South Jakarta. Based on the research results, the maximum photovoltaic efficiency that can be achieved is 21.45%. During the day, the efficiency of the solar panels increases along with the ncrease in the value of the voltage obtained. However, the higher the panel temperature, the lower the efficiency of the solar panel. Therefore, a cooling system is needed to anticipate this.

Abstract

MANET is autonomous, self-configured, and applicable to emergency locations such as forest fires, earthquakes, floods, and health monitoring. However, challenges and difficulties faced by the mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a dynamically built network system, without the support of infrastructure in communicating between one node and other nodes, and limited energy sources. To overcome MANET problems and to obtain optimal network quality, the selections of routing protocols and quality of service (QoS) are significant in MANET design. This study aims to analyze the performance of routing protocols: dynamic source routing (DSR), ad-hoc on demand distance vector (AODV) and optimized link state routing (OLSR) based on QoS. The analyzed QoS parameters include packet delivery ratio (PDR), packet loss, throughput, and delay. Simulation results using network simulator version based on the number of node densities indicate that OLSR has better performance compared to AODV and DSR regarding PDR, packet loss, throughput, and delay.

Abstract

The development of mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is becoming popular and interesting to research because it has a fast characteristic, cost-effective deployment, able to manage topology change independently, and can be applied to emergency locations such as forest fire detection, military operation, and health monitoring. However, the problems faced by MANET are dynamic network topology changes, limited energy consumption, and without the support of existing infrastructure. In order to overcome dynamic topology changes and to obtain reliable network quality, then routing protocol selection is critical in designing MANET. This study aims to analyze the performance of AODV, DSR, DSDV, and OLSR routing protocols based on the quality of service (QoS). Scenarios based on the number of vertices, packet size, a broad area of simulation, length of simulation, simulation speed, mobility model, and propagation model. The simulation has been done to produce four graphs, each of which describes the PDR, throughput, packet loss, and delay. The simulation results show that OLSR performs better than DSR, AODV, and DSDV in terms PDR, throughput, packet loss, and delay. OLSR average value in PDR by 39.997%, throughput by 417.383 Kbps, packet loss by 60.003%, and delay of 15.52 milliseconds.
