Abstract

This article reports the pandemic conditions that bring a huge impact on all sectors of life, especially in the educational context. Hence, certain steps are needed to implement education that can run well during this pandemic towards the managerial leadership of school principals who are reliable and able to develop superior schools during the pandemic. The purpose of the research was to analyze and describe the principal managerial leadership in developing superior schools during the pandemic at Mitra School Jambi University in realizing superior schools. The research was conducted at SDN 47/IV Jambi. The research used a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive research. The results of the research and discussion can be concluded that the principal managerial leadership in developing superior schools during the pandemic begins with the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Factors that influence the leadership of school principals in developing superior schools in the pandemic era are the principal's capability to build communication and collaboration with related parties, the ability of principals and teachers as academics in developing superior schools, qualified facilities and infrastructure, development of learning quality, and community participation (students’ parents or guardians, school committees, and private schools) in supporting the development of superior schools in the pandemic era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze school principals' strategies in implementing the Deep Learning approach in three Public Elementary Schools in Jambi City. Using a qualitative approach with a multiple case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with school principals, participant observation, and documentation studies at SDN 42/IV, SDN 64/IV, and SDN 54/IV Jambi City. The results reveal variations in the implementation strategies developed by each school. SDN 42/IV applied a structured, collaboration-based approach through the formation of a curriculum development team. SDN 64/IV developed a technology innovation strategy through the transformation of digital infrastructure and intensive teacher training. Meanwhile, SDN 54/IV emphasized the strengthening of learning communities through the establishment of a Professional Learning Community (PLC). The key findings indicate that the success of implementation is influenced by three main factors: the commitment of the principal's instructional leadership, continuous teacher capacity building, and the creation of a conducive learning environment. This study makes an important contribution to the development of an effective school leadership model for implementing Deep Learning, while also serving as a reference for policymakers in formulating contextual implementation strategies for educational innovation at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN 15/IV Kota Jambi in November 2025. The research data were obtained through validation questionnaires from experts, practitioner questionnaires, student response questionnaires, as well as interviews with teachers and students. The collected data were then analyzed to determine the feasibility of the developed interactive video. This research and development study produced an interactive video designed for fourth-grade elementary school students, developed using the DDDE (Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate) model. The validation results showed that the design expert gave an average score of 4.7 (very valid), the material expert gave an average score of 4.8 (very valid), the language expert gave an average score of 3.5 (very valid), and the media expert gave an average score of 4.7 (very valid). Furthermore, the teacher response questionnaire obtained an average score of 4.3 (very practical). The student response questionnaire in the small group trial gained an average score of 3.96 (very practical), while in the large group trial it reached an average score of 4.44 (very practical). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the interactive video for fourth-grade elementary school students is highly valid, highly practical, and feasible to be used in teaching IPAS (Science and Social Studies Integration) on the topic of magnets for fourth-grade elementary school learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the readiness of information technology infrastructure to support digital transformation at SDN 13/I Muara Bulian based on three main stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies, then analyzed interactively. The research results show that in the planning aspect, schools have basic plans for the provision of ICT infrastructure, although they are still limited by budget availability. In the implementation aspect, the use of information technology infrastructure has been implemented in learning activities and is supported by teacher readiness, but still faces device and network limitations. Meanwhile, in the evaluation aspect, the assessment of ICT infrastructure is still carried out in a simple and unstructured manner. This research concludes that the readiness of information technology infrastructure at SDN 13/I Muara Bulian is in the quite ready category, but requires strengthening planning, optimizing implementation, and more systematic evaluation so that digital transformation can run sustainably.

Abstract

Bananas are the most widely produced fruit in Indonesia, which is around 9.69 million tons in 2024. With this amount of data, bananas have quite promising economic value. The production of large quantities of bananas according to the previous data needs to be carried out a rapid distribution process, because the time the bananas after harvesting may only last about 5 to 7 days in normal temperatures before the fruit rotting process will finally occur. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out a quick banana classification process, the process is carried out automatically using a machine. This study elaborates on the capabilities of the CNN algorithm  in the classification of bananas. Dataset was taken from Keagle's open source as many as 3000 image data. In their classification, researchers divided bananas into three levels of fruit ripeness, namely raw, ripe, and overripe. The study used a CNN model  consisting of several layers consisting of a 2D convolutional layer (Conv2D), a 2D pooling layer (MaxPooling2D), a flatten layer, a fully connected layer (Dense), and a Dropout layer. After the model creation process is complete, the model will be tested for accuracy with  the Confusion matrix method. In the 3rd experiment the model produced the highest level of accuracy in its trials, with 300 test images resulting in 290 correctly predicted images so that the accuracy reached 97%. From the results  of deploying using the website interface using flask, it was found that the classification had an accuracy of above 95% so it was good enough to be used as a prototype for classification engine applications.

Abstract

Learning to write descriptive texts faces several problems, including students' difficulty in expressing ideas, low interest and enthusiasm, poor language use, monotonous learning, and a lack of active interaction between teachers and students. The discovery learning model and papercraft diorama media can be alternatives to improve students' descriptive writing skills. The objectives of this study are: 1) to test the effectiveness of the discovery learning model and papercraft diorama media in teaching descriptive text writing to seventh-grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bongas for the 2024/ 2025, and 2) to determine how students engage in descriptive text writing instruction by applying the discovery learning model and papercraft diorama media among seventh-grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bongas for the 2024/2025 academic year. This study employs an experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. Based on statistical calculations using the independent samples t-test, the calculated t-value was 3.347 and the table t-value was 2.000. Thus, the calculated t-value (3.347) > table t-value (2.000), indicating that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be stated that the discovery learning model and diorama papercraft media are effective when applied in teaching descriptive text writing to seventh-grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 academic year. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di era digital dengan ditandai pesatnya perkembangan teknologi dan berbagai tantangan moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru Pendidikan Agama Islam memiliki peran strategis sebagai fasilitator, teladan, dan pembimbing dalam proses pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Guru tidak hanya menyampaikan materi pembelajaran, tetapi menanamkan nilai moral seperti kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, serta sikap religius melalui pembiasaan dan keteladanan. Di era digital, peran tersebut menjadi semakin penting karena peserta didik dihadapkan pada berbagai pengaruh eksternal yang dapat memengaruhi perilaku dan kepribadian setiap peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, sinergi antara guru, orang tua, dan lingkungan menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa optimalisasi peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dapat berkontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan berkepribadian baik
