Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of self-harm in young adulthood. The research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The findings reveal three main themes in the experience of self-harm among young adults: 1) causes of self-harm, 2) ideas about self-harm, and 3) the cycle of self-harm. The conclusion indicates that the causes of self-harm vary among individuals, including factors such as family, academic, psychosocial, intrapersonal, personality, unpleasant past experiences, and physical health history. The ideas about self-harm among participants are influenced by everyday media exposure, such as social media and preferred films. The self-harm cycle begins with an individual's negative response to stressors, the type of self-harm performed, the negative feelings experienced before self-harm, and the relief felt as an emotional release after self-harm, which leads individuals to feel addicted and engage in repeated self-harm. In summary, self-harm is a maladaptive coping mechanism that provides only temporary relief from emotional burdens. Social skills training and counseling are recommended to reduce the risk of recurring behavior for those who are not yet ready to stop. Keywords: Self-Harm, Students, Young Adult

Abstract

Background: Adolescents losing their parents is the worst event they experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adolescents raise a traumatic response after a loss occurs. Objective: This study aims to explore the description of the condition of adolescents in dealing with the loss of parents due to COVID-19.Methods: Qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. The number of participants is 12 people with the criteria of youth aged 10-19 years consisting of men and women who have lost their parents due to COVID-19. Interview data were processed using the Colaizzi technique. Results: Four themes through the theme analysis, namely adolescents are not ready to face sudden loss, adolescents experience suffering due to the loss of parents, adolescents find it difficult to go through the loss process, and changes occur in adolescents due to the loss of parents. Conclusion: The findings of this study show that the sudden loss of parents due to COVID-19 harms adolescent mental health. As a result, mental health nurses in the community need to detect adolescents early for signs of stress and anxiety due to the loss of parents and take steps to strengthen adolescents' self-defense after loss.

Abstract

This study was conducted along with the increasing number of air passengers at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport so that it must be supported by optimal services and still ensure flight safety and security. This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality, service quality, and service facilities on passenger satisfaction at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, especially on baggage services. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data is obtained through questionnaires distributed to 150 passengers at Soekarno Hatta Airport. Data analysis was carried out with validity tests, reliability tests and hypothesis tests to test the effect of product quality, service quality, and service facilities on passenger satisfaction. The results of the study showed that the three variables, namely product quality, service quality, and service facilities, significantly have a positive effect on passenger satisfaction. Of the three variables, service quality has the most dominant effect on passenger satisfaction in baggage services. These findings indicate that improvements in aspects of service quality, such as speed, security, and complaint handling, are needed to improve passenger satisfaction. The practical implications of this study confirm that the management of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport needs to focus on improving the quality of service and management of baggage service facilities to improve overall passenger satisfaction. Improving product quality should also not be ignored, because passengers demand security and comfort in using baggage services.

Abstract

Early intervention during pregnancy can prevent stunting. Pregnant women can prevent stunting by addressing risk factors such as nutrition during pregnancy, infection during pregnancy, and depression during pregnancy. This study was designed to identify the effect of health education and therapeutic group therapy on preventing stunting risk factors. Method: The research design was quasi-experimental with a control group. The groups in this study were divided into two groups, the offline group, consisting of two groups: the intervention group that received offline health education and the group that received offline health education and therapeutic group therapy. The online group consisted of three groups, the intervention group that received online health education, the group that received online health education and therapeutic group therapy, and the control group that refused to receive health education and therapeutic group therapy interventions but was sent leaflets on improving development in pregnant women. The study was conducted offline and online. The sample consisted of 157 pregnant women and husbands, 64 women and husbands offline, and 93 women and husbands online. The instruments in this study were questionnaires consisting of demographic data of pregnant women and husbands, nutritional data during pregnancy (upper arm circumference (LiLA) and haemoglobin, depression during pregnancy with the EPDS questionnaire, Data analysis used univariate and bivariate frequency distribution, central tendency, and paired t-test. The results showed that upper arm circumference (LiLA) and Hb did not show significant differences between the intervention and control groups. Health education and offline therapeutic group therapy significantly decreased the risk factors for stunting and depression during pregnancy. Health education and therapeutic group therapy are recommended to be carried out in health service settings, both offline and online, as a form of mental health services for pregnant women in preventing risk factors for stunting.

Abstract

Pencarian menggunakan English keywords: (1) drug abuse or drug dependence, (2) relapse prevention therapy, (3) problem solve therapy, (4) substance abuse relapse.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,012 yang berarti variabel memiliki hubungan yang lemah dan cenderung negatif, Penelitian ini menemukan bahwasanya meskipun terdapat korelasi negatif antara terpaan berita negatif dengan brand image NCT 127, hubungan tersebut sangat lemah sehingga dampak tidak signifikan terhadap citra boygroup secara keseluruhan Social media is an online platform, where users can easily participate and share including negative news that can affect the image of an individual or group. This study aims to determine the correlation between negative news exposure and NCT 127's brand image on social media X, in the case of former boy group members. This research is novel in its approach, which uses social appraisal theory to analyze how NCT 127 followers on social media X may accept or reject negative information based on their initial attitude towards the group. In addition, this research contributes by adding insight into the study of brand image in the entertainment industry. This research uses an associative quantitative approach and uses a non-probability sample sampling technique with a total of 100 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out through distributing questionnaires online, and using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. Based on the calculation results, the correlation coefficient value is -0.012, which means that the variables have a weak relationship and tend to be negative. This study found that although there is a negative correlation between negative news exposure and NCT 127's brand image, the relationship is so weak that it has an insignificant impact on the boy group's overall image.
