Abstract

Abstract

In automotive manufacturing, repetitive defects often occur across different time periods, creating a valuable historical dataset containing defect names and their corresponding root causes. Traditionally, identifying the root cause of a production defect relied heavily on human analysis, requiring significant time and on-site inspection. This often led to delayed countermeasures, increased production downtime, and additional issues such as line stops. This study presents an AI-based approach to assist root cause analysis using historical defect data, aiming to reduce the analysis time and improve feedback accuracy. The implementation focused on enabling faster and more accurate identification of root causes by integrating a machine learning model into the factory’s defect recording system (ATPPM, Analisa Tindakan Penanggulangan dan Pencegahan Masalah). The development process involved data preprocessing, model training, and API deployment. The original dataset consisted of 3,128 records, which were cleaned and reduced to 1,449 labeled entries, each annotated with one of 161 unique root cause labels. Eleven machine learning models were evaluated, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, SVM, and RNN. Initial evaluation using F1-score, precision, and recall showed Logistic Regression achieving the best F1-score of 0.83. Further validation using 5-Fold Cross Validation identified the Support Vector Machine (SVM) as the best-performing model, with an average accuracy of 89.1%. This model was deployed via a Python Flask API and integrated into the existing ATPPM system. The AI-powered system significantly accelerated the root cause analysis process, reducing the average analysis time by 228 minutes. Potential future enhancements involve automating the model’s training process on a regular schedule (weekly or daily), integrating additional data sources including big data and quality management systems, and scaling the current API implementation to multiple production lines for wider impact.

Abstract

Dyslipidemia is a condition of lipid metabolism characterized by an imbalance of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and triglyceride levels in the blood. This biosynthesis process can occur through a mechanism modulated by β-Hydroxy β-methylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase. The most commonly used drug that works by inhibiting this enzyme is simvastatin. However, there are still significant side effects. In this work, in silico studies were performed on compounds from black cumin (Nigella sativa L.), namely alpha-pinene, p-cymene, nigellimine N-oxide, nigellidine, carvacrol, alpha-hederin, dithymoquinone, thymohydroquinone, thymoquinone, thymol, and nigellicine to predict their activity against HMG-CoA reductase as drug candidates in the treatment of dyslipidemia. The experiments were carried out using computational approaches, such as Lipinski's Rule of Five and ADMET prediction, pharmacophore modeling, and molecular docking simulation. Based on the molecular docking results, there are three compounds that exhibit strong interactions with amino acid residues on HMG-CoA reductase, which have the lowest binding energy values and inhibition constants: nigellicine (-6.84 kcal/mol, 9.71 μM), nigellidine (-6.44 kcal/mol, 19.16 μM), and nigellimine N-oxide (-6.14 kcal/mol, 31.34 μM). These three compounds have potential and can be modified to become candidates for antidyslipidemic drugs with a competitive inhibitor mechanism.

Abstract

North Lombok Regency is a region characterised by ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity. This sociocultural reality demands an educational system that fosters tolerance, multiple identities, and social cohesion. This study explores the implementation of the Back to the Essence of Education Movement (GKKP) as a model of multicultural education based on locality. This study employs a qualitative approach with thematic content analysis of relevant educational policy documents, such as strategic plans, local curriculum content, character education enhancement guidelines, and annual GKKP program reports. Data were analysed based on Banks' five dimensions of multicultural education and Paulo Freire's principles of critical pedagogy. Validity is ensured through triangulation of sources and peer debriefing. Findings indicate that the GKKP integrates religious and local cultural values into intraschool and extracurricular learning. Using skill-building pocketbooks enables the structured internalisation of multicultural values, covering spiritual, national, school environment, and self-development aspects. The program also fosters an inclusive, collaborative, and democratic school culture and encourages the formation of dual identities among students as members of the local community and citizens of Indonesia. The GKKP model significantly contributes to developing a culturally relevant, localised, multicultural education approach. Despite challenges such as limited teacher training and local teaching materials, this initiative is a viable alternative to the dominance of Western-based multiculturalism approaches in educational literature.

Abstract

The transmigration program in Meganga District, Parigi Moutong Regency, began in 1973 with the establishment of the UPT in Unit I Mepanga, which has developed into five definitive villages, namely Kotaraya Village, South Kotaraya, West Kotaraya, East Kotaraya, and Southeast Kotaraya. These villages have the potential to be developed into New Urban Areas (KPB) in accordance with Government Regulation No. 3 of 2014. This research aims to formulate directions for the development of potential villages in Mepanga District into New Urban Areas based on the availability of facilities and infrastructure. The research method uses a mixed approach with descriptive analysis, scalogram, and centrality index. The results of this study show that these potential villages have the availability of facilities and infrastructure that still need improvement to meet the standards set in the Village Minister Regulation Number 25 of 2016. Based on the analysis of the scalogram and centrality index, Kotaraya Village as the main service center (Hierarchy I), supported by South and West Kotaraya Villages as supporting villages (Hierarchy II), and East and Southeast Kotaraya Villages as development villages (Hierarchy III). The direction of the development of potential villages in Mepanga District includes the improvement and development of basic infrastructure, inter-village connectivity, and regional planning regulations, as well as collaboration between the government, the community, and stakeholders needed to realize this area as a new integrated and sustainable growth center.

Abstract

The Bajo tribe is a tribe that lives on the coast or islands. This is related to their livelihood, namely fishermen. Even though most already occupy land, fishermen still choose land close to the beach. The research aims to discover the essential things in their lives as a process of adaptation to the residential environment. The method used is naturalistic qualitative research by selecting several samples of residential houses on land and those that still choose land above water as cases to be analyzed. Even though there have been changes in occupying residential land, the Bajo tribe still has several adjustments regarding the placement of their homes, which are incredibly close to water or the coast. Residential houses on coastal land still have a back room facing the sea as the main room and are shaped like a house on stilts, while the front faces the road as a space for social interaction. Residential houses that occupy land and highways are the primary orientation and areas for social interaction. Although there is still a back room, it is not the main room. The shape of the building has changed both in structure and building materials. Almost all buildings on the land are permanent, consisting of several rooms, functioning as a bedroom, living room, etc.. In contrast, houses that occupy water land still use wood, bamboo, and woven sago leaf roofs and only have a onebedroom family room equipped with a back terrace.

Abstract

Elderly independence is essential for maintaining quality of life and functional ability. Family involvement has been shown to support this independence, but evidence from quasi-experimental studies in Indonesia remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the Family Support Model on elderly independence in selected Public Health Center areas of Yogyakarta and Central Java. A quasi-experimental design with pre-post-test control group was conducted from March to October 2022. A total of 96 elderly participants without chronic illness were purposively assigned to experimental (n=48) and control groups (n=48). The intervention applied the Family Support Model, which included family education, structured assistance with daily activities, weekly follow-ups, and joint problem-solving involving families and health personnel. Independence was assessed using a validated questionnaire based on the Katz Index, covering both Basic (BADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL). Measurements were conducted at baseline, and at one, two, and three months post-intervention. Results showed a significant increase in self-care independence in the experimental group from 0% to 97.8%, and a decrease in self-care deficit from 63% to 2.2%. In contrast, the control group showed modest improvements, with independence increasing from 0% to 32.6%, and deficit decreasing from 78.3% to 67.4%. Repeated measures ANOVA revealed significant differences between groups over time (p < 0.001). The conclusion is the Family Support Model is effective in enhancing elderly independence. It can be adopted as a practical, community-based intervention to sustain daily functioning and improve the quality of life among older adults.
