Abstract

This study aims to explore the relevance of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah in facing the challenges and opportunities presented by the Metaverse, as well as offering an adaptive Islamic legal framework for the virtual world. In an increasingly complex digital era, challenges such as the spread of false information, identity manipulation, digital addiction, economic exploitation, and negative impacts on family relationships have become major issues that require a Shariah-based approach. A literature analysis method was used to review previous relevant and in-depth studies on Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, digital technology, and contemporary issues in the Metaverse. The results showed that Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah could be flexibly applied in five main dimensions, namely protection of religion (al-dīn), life (al-nafs), reason (al-‘aql), offspring (al-nasl), and property (al-māl). Protection of religion includes the development of virtual spaces that support interactive education and da'wah. The dimension of life includes the psychological well-being of technology users through moderation and digital literacy, while reason emphasises the importance of information verification to prevent hoaxes and manipulation. The protection of offspring focuses on Islamic-based platforms to support children education and strengthen family values. The property dimension underscores the need for Shariah regulation in digital economic transactions to ensure fairness and transparency. In conclusion, Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah is not only relevant but also capable of becoming an ethical and normative foundation for creating an ethical, inclusive Metaverse ecosystem consistent with Islamic values. This study also opens up opportunities for further investigations on the practical implementation of Islamic law in the virtual world.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia faces contemporary challenges, particularly in addressing student misconduct within traditional educational institutions. This research examines the implementation of inclusive education at Al-Hassan Islamic Boarding School in Rembang as an approach to handle student delinquency. The study aims to analyze inclusive educational practices based on Islamic values of wasathiyah and their effectiveness in character building and behavioral correction. Using qualitative methodology with ethnographic approach, data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with school administrators, teachers, and students, as well as documentation analysis. The research reveals that Al-Hassan Islamic Boarding School successfully implements inclusive education by accepting students from diverse backgrounds without discrimination, including those from economically disadvantaged families, orphans, broken homes, and students with learning difficulties. The boarding school employs humanistic and empathetic approaches in handling student misconduct, prioritizing dialogue, mediation, and character development over punitive measures. Key findings indicate that inclusive educational strategies based on Islamic theological values prove more effective in transforming student behavior compared to repressive approaches. The integration of social-emotional programs, individual counseling, and collaborative problem-solving creates a conducive learning environment for holistic character development. The study concludes that inclusive education rooted in Islamic values of justice, compassion, and brotherhood provides a viable alternative model for contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia, demonstrating that traditional Islamic boarding schools can adapt modern educational principles while maintaining their spiritual foundation and cultural authenticity. Keywords: inclusive education, Islamic boarding school, student delinquency, character building, wasathiyah

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal considerations of interfaith marriage in Indonesia in the perspective of Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. The author uses a normative juridical approach. This research is classified as library research, the data collected is analyzed usingcontent analysis of representative literature and has relevance to the issues discussed, then compared usingcomparative analysis, then reviewed, and concluded. The results show that interfaith marriage has no legal basis in either Islamic law or the Marriage Law. The consideration of the legalization of interfaith marriage in the form of the applicant's human rights to the claim of a legal vacuum is an erroneous legal consideration. Allowing interfaith marriages in Indonesia tends to potentially cause various problems. Therefore, the prohibition of interfaith marriage is more in line with the reality and needs in Indonesia. The study of interfaith marriage needs to receive more attention because the law can change according to changes in time and place. In addition, the prohibition of interfaith marriage needs to be socialized to the public in a simple and easy-to-understand language because the negative impact of different opinions on interfaith marriage often arises in the midst of ordinary people.

Abstract

Key Words: tafsir al-Jabiri, epistemologi, tartīb al-nuzūl, Noldeke, sarjana Muslim.

Abstract

Abstract

In the context of Industry 4.0, automotive manufacturing increasingly adopts artificial intelligence (AI) to improve quality assurance and reduce dependency on manual inspection. One critical issue in transmission assembly is improper installation of torsion spring components on the parking lock pole, which can lead to transmission malfunction and severe quality defects. Traditionally, this inspection process relies on human visual checking, which is time-consuming and prone to human error due to fatigue and varying operator conditions. This research proposes an AI-based visual inspection system to automatically detect incorrect torsion spring installation in a car transmission production line. The proposed system utilizes Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models for image classification, deployed on an edge computing device integrated with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) interlocking. Three CNN architectures (MobileNet, EfficientNet, and ResNet) are evaluated to identify the most suitable model for this application. The dataset consists of production images captured directly from the factory environment, with data augmentation applied to enhance robustness under varying lighting conditions. Model performance is evaluated using accuracy and K-Fold Cross-Validation. Experimental results show that the ResNet model achieves the highest performance, with an average accuracy of 99.66%, demonstrating its effectiveness in detecting improper torsion spring installation. The implementation of the proposed system eliminates the need for human visual inspection and reduces processing time in the production process. This study confirms that AI-based edge vision systems can significantly enhance quality assurance in automotive transmission manufacturing.

Abstract

Bungah District is known as the center of the Songkok industry in Gresik Regency and has significant economic potential. However, the sustainability of this business faces serious challenges, including market stagnation due to low digital literacy and the absence of halal product assurance, which is now an absolute requirement for the global market. The inability to adapt to technology makes it difficult for local products to penetrate modern marketplaces. This community service program aims to enhance the global competitiveness of Songkok MSMEs by adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in marketing strategies and accelerating business legitimacy. The approach used is Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) integrated with the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) method. This activity actively involved 30 Songkok artisans through stages of socialization, technical training in creating visual content with Canva AI, and assistance with registering SiHalal accounts. Program effectiveness was measured using comparative pre-test and post-test analysis. The results showed a significant increase in partners’ average understanding, rising from an initial score of 10% to 82.5% post-intervention. In addition to improving cognitive competence, this activity successfully produced tangible outputs, including 28 AI-based professional digital catalog designs, 30 active social media business accounts, and 30 draft documents for halal certification submissions under the self-declare scheme. The program concludes that integrating efficient AI technology with compliance with Sharia regulations effectively increases partners' self-efficacy to transform from traditional markets into a competitive, sustainable export ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a value- and love-based learning model for enhancing students’ character in digital learning contexts. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design. Quantitative data were collected using pre- and post-tests administered with the Student Empathy and Character Values Scale (SENKS) to measure social empathy, social responsibility, and self-reflection. Meanwhile, qualitative data were obtained through participant observation, interviews, and learning documentation to explore the process of value internalization. The study was conducted over 12 weeks in three Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, involving 90 students in grades V–VI, six teachers, and three principals as key informants. Quantitative data were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test, and qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis; the results were integrated to provide a comprehensive understanding. The findings indicate that implementing the value- and love-based learning model significantly improves students’ character holistically. The average character score increased from 68.5 in the pre-test to 83.9 in the post-test (Δ = 15.4; p < 0.001), with the highest improvements observed in social empathy (26.4%), social responsibility (22.6%), and self-reflection (25.4%). Qualitative findings revealed improvements in collaboration (+77.8%), care for peers (+100%), and discipline (+70%), as well as the creation of a supportive classroom climate. The mechanisms of character transformation include emotional awareness, strengthening social relationships through collaboration, and internalizing values through reflection and teacher feedback.
