Abstract

This study delves into Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) within the context of international business, utilizing a case study approach to examine the practices of multinational companies. The objective is to shed light on the multifaceted dynamics of HRM in a global context and assess its significance for multinational corporations. The research employs a comprehensive methodology that combines a literature review, qualitative analysis of case studies, and empirical data collection. It examines the role of HRM in multinational companies, emphasizing its crucial function in navigating the complexities of global markets. Furthermore, the study explores the impact of cultural diversity on HRM strategies, recognizing that adequate cross-cultural competence is paramount for success. The case studies offer insights into talent management and recruitment strategies tailored to local markets, emphasizing the adaptability of HR policies to varying international contexts. Moreover, the research underscores the importance of network relationships within and with local partners in shaping HRM outcomes. This study contributes to the field of HRM in international business by integrating existing theories and empirical evidence into a coherent framework. It underscores the need for HRM practices accommodating diverse cultural and institutional contexts. Ultimately, it provides HR professionals and international business leaders with actionable insights to enhance their HRM strategies in the dynamic landscape of global operations.

Abstract

In carrying out programs, every organization is always directed to be efficient to achieve company goals. One of the strategies is to improve employee performance. Employee performance will be carried out well if followed by the quality of human resources in which motivation and discipline factors will significantly affect the performance of employees.       This research aims to determine and analyze the effect of motivation and work discipline partially or simultaneously on teacher performance. This research uses a quantitative approach. The independent variables are motivation and work discipline, while the dependent variable is teacher performance. The data are analyzed using multiple linear regression with the F test and t-test. The results of the analysis and hypothesis testing can explain that motivation and work discipline simultaneously impact the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 5 Surabaya, as proven by the results of statistical analysis using SPSS 26. The t-count is greater than the t-table. The research result shows that motivation and work discipline affect teachers' performance, respectively, with a value of 0.278 and 0.605, which means that the effect of the motivation and work discipline variable on teacher performance is 27, 8%, and 60.5%. By these results, the impact of work discipline on teacher performance is more significant than the effect of motivation on teacher performance. Moreover, stimulation and work field simultaneously impact teacher performance with an F-count value of 11.110 > F-table of > 1.68.Keywords: Motivation, Work Discipline, Teacher Performance.

Abstract

Human resources are the main factor in an organization. In running the company's operations, it takes a leader to organize and lead its operations. This is what underlies that the company is very selective in choosing leaders to direct, encourage, motivate and lead employees in running the company's operations. A leader has a leadership style in carrying out the daily duties that arise from the habits of a leader himself. This research was conducted at the banquet operation and restaurant section of PT. Hardayawidya Graha to determine the implementation of leadership style on the performance of restaurant employees and banquet operation of PT. Hardayawidya Graha. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods by producing qualitative data in words and written sentences. The sampling technique in this study uses the snowball sampling method and the data triangulation method to find a harmonious relationship between the results of interviews, documentation, and observations on the company. This study uses the coding manual analysis method as data analysis. The results show that the Senior Operations Manager of PT implemented the leadership style. Hardayawidya Graha is good and by the theory that experts have put forward. Moreover, the result is strengthened by statements from other informants and documents researchers obtained during PT.
