Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking skills in class VIII of SMP Swasta Trisakti Pematang Siantar. This research design uses One-Shoot Case Study. The population in this study were all VIII grade students of Trisakti Pematang Siantar Private Junior High School T.A 2023/2024, and the sample in this study were all VIII grade students of Trisakti Pematang Siantar Private Junior High School totaling 30 students. The instruments used in this study are validity, reliability, level of difficulty of test items and distinguishing power of test items. The data obtained were then analyzed using data analysis techniques obtained the average value of the results of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model 85.63 and the average mathematical creative thinking ability of students 16.384. The results of hypothesis testing after obtaining t-count = 26.134 and t-table = 2.048. This means that the tcount is greater than the ttable which shows the hypothesis H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on this description, it is concluded that the use of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model has an influence on students' mathematical creative thinking skills in learning the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) in class VIII SMP Swasta Trisakti Pematang Siantar.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tapian Dolok. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research in the form of quasi-experimental research with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Tapian Dolok T.A 2023/2024, and the sample in this study was class VIII-1 as the experimental class and class VIII-2 as the control class. The instruments used in this research are validity, reliability, level of difficulty of test items and distinguishing power of test items. The research results showed that the average score of students who used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model was 72.03, while the average score of students without using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model was 62.7. The mathematics learning outcomes of students who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model are higher than those without the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model (t_count 2.1 > t_table 1.67 with a significance level of 0.05). This it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tapian Dolok

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving skills in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar. The research method used in this study is an experimental method with a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar in the 2023/2024 academic year. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique, so the sample obtained was class VII-7 students totaling 30 people as a control class and class VII-10 students totaling 30 people as an experimental class. The instrument used in this study was a problem solving ability test in the form of descriptions. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical problem solving skills. The results of data analysis obtained the average value of the class using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model of 82.87 and the average class with a conventional model of 67.50. The results of hypothesis testing obtained t_hitung = 5.507 and t_table = 2.002. If t_count is greater than t_table, the hypothesis H_(0) is rejected. Based on the previous explanation, it can be concluded that the use of Project-based learning (PjBL) learning model has an influence on students' mathematical problem solving ability on algebraic material in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to describe the level of validity of mathematics learning media using Geogebra on the Cartesian Plane material, (2) to assess the mastery level of teachers and the students' engagement using Geogebra on the Cartesian Plane material, and (3) to explore educators' and students' responses to the development of mathematics learning media using Geogebra on the Cartesian Plane material at SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar. The research design employed is Research and Development, following the ADDIE model consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Based on the material validation results, it falls into the highly valid category with an average of 60.5, situated in the interval 54.6 ? VR < 65. Similarly, media validation is deemed valid with an average of 82, falling within the interval 68 ? VR < 84. The validated learning media was then implemented in the teaching process. Data analysis revealed that the teacher's mastery level averaged 92, categorized as practical within the interval 74.8 ? PR < 92.4. Additionally, during the trial, the students' engagement level averaged 47, falling in the interval 44.2 ? P < 54.6. The effectiveness of the developed learning media is evidenced by the students' achievement in the eighth-grade class at SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar. Out of 30 students, 25 students achieved a passing grade with a percentage of 83.4%, while 5 students did not pass, constituting 16.6%. The developed learning media meets practical criteria, receiving highly positive responses from students with an average response rate of 94.97% and positive feedback from teachers with an average response rate of 82%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the Meaningfull Instructional Design Learning Model influences students' Mathematical Reasoning abilities on the subject of number patterns, after implementing the Meaningfull Instructional Design (MID) Learning Model. The type of research used is the Pre-experimental Design research method. The research subjects were class VIII-9, totaling 30 people. In this research the author used a quantitative approach. The design used in this research is one-shot case study. Data collection techniques in this research are in the form of tests and questionnaires to determine students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the research process carried out. Data analysis techniques were carried out using normality, linearity and hypothesis testing. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the results of students' mathematical reasoning abilities showed that the influence was shown through the regression equation Y = 7.280 + 0.224X. This influence is through the t-test, namely ????count ????table(3.448 > 2.048) or p (sig.) < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is an influence of the Meaningful Instructional Design Learning Model. It can be concluded that by applying the influence of the Meaningful Instructional Design Learning Model, it can improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities in students' mathematics learning material on number patterns in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model on mathematical problem-solving abilities in three-variable linear equation systems material for students in class X SMA Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar for the 2023/2024 academic year. This influence is shown through the regression equation Y= 1.447+ 0.714X. This influence is through the t-test, namely t-count > t-table (12.865 > 2.048) or p (sig.) < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is an influence of the Think cooperative learning model Pair Share on mathematical problem-solving abilities in three-variable linear equation systems material for students in class X SMA Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar Academic Year 2023/2024. The contribution of variance of variable X (Think Pair Share cooperative learning model) to variable Y (problem solving ability) is 85.5%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the jigsaw type cooperative learning model influences the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Jorlang Hataran. The type of research used is Pre-Experimental Design research. Research subjects in class VIII-3 with a total of 30 students. In this research the author used a quantitative approach. The design used in this research is One-shot case study. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Jorlang Hataran for the 2023/2024 academic year. This positive influence is shown through the regression equation Y= 16.816 + 0.089X where the b value is 0.089. This influence is through the t-test, namely tcount > ttable (3.608 > 2.048) or (sig.) < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is a positive and significant influence from the cooperative learning model. jigsaw type on student learning outcomes in relation and function material. The contribution of variance of variable X (jigsaw type cooperative learning model) to variable Y (student learning outcomes) is 32%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an authentic assessment instrument for spiritual attitudes and social attitudes based on character education in grade IV SD Negeri 125138 Pematangsiantar. The research method uses research and development (R & D) with a development model according to Borg and Gall. The development of the thematic average instrument based on character education and equipped with an authentic assessment instrument for spiritual attitudes and social attitudes based on character education has proven to be effective. The pretest learning outcomes of the control and experimental classes, namely the control class were 57.16 while the experimental class was 60.28. After the trial was carried out for 6 meetings, the average posttest score in the control and experimental groups increased to 71.36 and 75.56. The results of the t-test obtained tcount = 6.280 with a significance level of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 < = 0.05. The control class students' learning activities reached an average of 52% in the good enough category and the experimental class reached an average of 88.6% in the good category. Thus, the increase in student learning outcomes was higher in the experimental group. The N-Gain obtained is 0.54 which shows the number <0.6 which means that it is very effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui kevalidan instrumen soal HOTS pada materi bilangan kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Siantar yang akan diterapkan kepada siswa; untuk mengetahui tingkat reliabilitas instrumen soal HOTS pada materi bilangan kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Siantar yang akan diterapkan kepada siswa; untuk mengetahui kepraktisan instumen soal HOTS pada materi bilangan kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Siantar yang akan diterapkan kepada siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D) yang berfokus pada pengembangan instrumen soal HOTS menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Instrumen soal ini diuji validasinya oleh 3 validator, uji validitas butir soal dan uji reliabilitas tes diperoleh dari tahap uji coba dan uji praktikabilitas melalui angket respon siswa yang disusun sebanyak 10 pernyataan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kevalidan instrumen tes diperoleh dari validator dengan rata-rata 4,40 dengan kategori valid dan dapat digunakan dengan revisi kecil. Sedangkan untuk validitas butir soal pada tahap uji coba lapangan dengan responden sebanyak 52 siswa, diperoleh validitas butir soal dengan kategori valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,605 dengan kategori reliabel tinggi. Sedangkan hasil kepraktisan instrumen soal diperoleh dari angket respon siswa terhadap instrumen soal HOTS diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 81% dengan kategori praktis, sehingga instrumen soal HOTS siap untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran explicit instruction terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar dengan jumlah 34 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah LKS, angket, dan tes uraian (posttest). Angket yang digunakan sebanyak 10 butis dan tes uraian sebanyak 4 butir. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji prasyarat yakni uji normalitas dan uji linieritas. Untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran explicit instruction mempengaruhi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa digunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan data penelitian, diperoleh persamaan regresi Y^'=23,151+0,731X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran explicit instruction terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar. Ini dapat dilihat dari perbandingan nilai thitung dan ttabel. Pada taraf 5% menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (10,697 > 2,032) dengan pengaruh variabel X terhadap Y sebesar 78% dan 22% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
