Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has transformed various aspects of life, including education. In mathematics education, technology offers numerous opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of learning but also presents significant challenges. This paper aims to evaluate mathematics learning in the digital era, focusing on the challenges and opportunities involved. This study employs a literature review method with descriptive analysis of relevant studies. Digital technology has great potential to improve accessibility, personalization, and interactivity in mathematics learning. Through technology-based learning platforms, students can access materials that were previously difficult to reach, visualize abstract concepts, and engage in independent and collaborative learning. Additionally, adaptive algorithms and artificial intelligence provide personalized learning experiences that can improve student outcomes. However, several challenges also arise, including digital inequality, limited teacher competence, curriculum adaptation, and the risk of over-reliance on technology, which may hinder students' deep understanding of basic mathematical concepts. To optimize these opportunities, synergy among technology, educators, and educational policies is essential. Thus, this paper provides insights into strategic steps to enhance the quality of mathematics learning in the digital era while addressing the existing challenges.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Stad (Student Teams Achievement Division) Terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa Kelas Viii Di Smp Budi Luhur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Dalam penelitian eksperimen ada perlakuan untuk mencari pengaruh perlakuan tertentu terhadap kelas yang diteliti. Jenis metode eksperimen ini menggunakan Pre-Eksperimental Desaign dengan bentuk one shot case study.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan model kooperatif tipe student teams achievement division terhadap kemapuankomunikasi matematis siswa pada materi spldv kelas VIII SMP Budi Luhur. Pengaruh itu ditunjukkan oleh persamaan regresi Y ̂= 1.703 + 0.597X. Pengaruh tersebut melalui uji-t, yaitu t_hitung>t_tabel = (13.784 > 2.048) atau p (Sig.) < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.005) maka H_0. Ditolak dan H_1diterima yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model student teams achievement division terdadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi spldv kelas VIII SMP Budi Luhur. Dan pengaruh variabel independen (model pembelajaran STAD) terhadap variabel dependen (kemampuan komunikasi matematis) adalah 87.2%.

Abstract

The objective of this socialization is to provide an overview of the application of artificial intelligence in dealing with problems related to bullying. The positive effects of artificial intelligence on the life and growth of today's children will be widely utilized. At an early age, the protection of artificial intelligence is indispensable. It can play a role in preventing extreme behavior from developing in children. Post-bullying, the counseling program can be developed as part of parental counseling for their children's mental health. Additionally, an early warning function should be deployed, and permanent protection must be added to artificial intelligence. Among them, enhancing children's ability to judge, guide, and respond in events involving negative energy is essential. The results showed recent advancements in AI technology offer significant potential for more effective outcomes compared to traditional non-technological approaches in preventing and addressing children's bullying. These AI-driven solutions could potentially reduce the occurrence of bullying incidents, lessen their impact on children, and provide better protection for victims. Interactive video games that incorporate physical activities are now combining various elements such as muscle group engagement, body awareness, head-torso coordination, and social cooperation into comprehensive exercise packages. AI-enhanced video games can identify motivations behind bullying behavior in children by analyzing audio-visual data, assigning different levels of credibility to the information gathered during gameplay. These games are capable of providing immediate assistance when bullying attempts are detected, such as by playing calming music and animations, or by initiating mentoring sessions and discussions about appropriate behavior.

Abstract

Dari hasil nilai rata-rata siswa yang semula 53 dan setelah diberlakukan Media Audio Visual naik menjadi 82. Hasil perhitungan dengan tes diperoleh thitung sebesar 19,040 yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan ttabel sebesar 1,797 dengan df=29 dan taraf signifikan 0,05. Jika thitung > ttebel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, dan jika thitung > ttabel maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Berdasarkan data ternyata thitung > ttabel(19,040 > 1,797) pada perhitungan uji beda mean hasil belajar dengan menggunakan test. Dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa skor mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar siswa signifikan sehingga Ha hasil belajar diterima. Kriteria pengujiannya adalah hipotesis Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak jika thitung > ttabel Sebaliknya, hipotetis Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima jika nilai thitung > ttabel, artinya ada pengaruh terhadap media audio visual.

Abstract

Improving writing skills is as supporting factor for the success of learning carried out by each teacher. Writing ability comes from the habit of reading and analyzing problems in learning that is carried out every day. The culture of writing is still far from being a habit for teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran. Therefore, the University of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University team has carried out a community service at SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran, Jalan Besar Parapat, Nagori Bah Sampuran. district Jorlang Hataran, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra where this service aims to socialize methods of improving English literacy skills using the problem based learning method for teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran. This service has been received with good response and was appreciated by the Principal of SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran. The results obtained from this service were 76.7% of participants who stated that they were satisfied with this service. It is hoped that with this activity, there will be a good cooperation established between the University and the school to develop the quality of teachers in order to create the higher quality education.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi keuangan merupakan kompetensi esensial yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu dalam menghadapi kompleksitas kehidupan ekonomi modern. Guru sebagai pendidik sekaligus teladan bagi peserta didik, memerlukan pemahaman yang baik dalam mengelola keuangan pribadi secara bijak. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan para guru di SMA Surya Pematangsiantar melalui pelatihan interaktif dan aplikatif. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, penyusunan modul pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta evaluasi. Materi yang diberikan meliputi pengelolaan anggaran, tabungan dan investasi, manajemen utang, serta perencanaan keuangan jangka panjang. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam membuat perencanaan keuangan, menyusun anggaran rumah tangga, dan mengenali produk-produk keuangan formal. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam membentuk budaya finansial yang sehat di lingkungan sekolah, sekaligus memperkuat peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai literasi keuangan kepada siswa.

Abstract

Purpose: This research investigates how high school students approach three-dimensional geometry problems by considering differences in cognitive styles (impulsive and reflective) and levels of mathematical ability. The aim is to understand the variations in problem-solving strategies based on Polya’s stages, which include understanding the problem, planning, executing, and reviewing the solution. Method: A descriptive qualitative method was used with a comparative case study design. Four students were selected through purposive sampling, each representing a unique combination of cognitive style and mathematical ability. Data collection involved problem-solving tests and semi-structured interviews. The analysis focused on tracing the students’ reasoning and decision-making processes throughout each stage of problem solving. Findings: The results show that students with a reflective cognitive style tend to be more thorough when planning and reviewing their work. Impulsive students, on the other hand, often rush through the process, resulting in errors, although those with high mathematical ability can still demonstrate effective strategies and occasionally correct their mistakes. Students with stronger mathematical ability generally show better visualization, abstraction, and accuracy in applying geometric concepts. Significance: These findings suggest the need for instructional strategies that are sensitive to students’ cognitive profiles. Teaching approaches that emphasize structured reflection and scaffolding may enhance geometry learning outcomes, especially for students who tend to act impulsively.

Abstract

Berbagai teknologi dipakai dalam mengoptimalkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam dunia pendidikan. Ada beberapa aplikasi bersifat interaktif yang bisa dipergunakan guru dan juga para peserta didik untuk belajar matematika. Salah satunya yaitu penggunaan google classroom.  Pemanfaatan goolge classroom ini dapat membuat kelas maya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis google classroom dalam menyongsong era revolusi industri 4.0 terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen non-equivalent control group desain. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika pada siswa yang diajar tanpa penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis goolge classroom dan kelas yang diajar dengan penerapan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis goolge classroom. Disamping itu, penggunaan pembelajaran berbasis google classroom lebih efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI dibanding pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis google classroom.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode home visit dan pembelajaran dengan metode pemberian tugas pada mata pelajaran Matematika di kelas VII SMP Padamu Negeri di kota Medan T.A 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Padamu Negeri yang berjumlah 60 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik sampling, dimana sampel berjumlah 60 di bagi menjadi dua kelompok, kelompok eksperimen I dengan jumlah 30 siswa dan kelompok eksperimen II dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Alat yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa tes pilihan berganda terdiri dari 20 butir soal untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan rumus uji-t. Berdasarkan analisis data nilai rata-rata hasil belajar metode pembelajaran Home Visit sebesar 80,93 dan nilai hasil belajar metode pembelajaran Pemberian Tugas 74,68. Dari hasil uji persyaratan analisis data, populasi berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang seragam (homogen) serta hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan hasil hitung thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,46 > 1,87. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Home Visit dan Pemberian Tugas terhadap hasil belajar matematika di Kelas VII SMP Padamu Negeri T.A 2020/2021.
