Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Problem Based Learning Model Using Microsoft Frontpage Media and Learning Activities on Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class X Senior High School. The purpose of this study was to see (a) the effect of problem based learning using Microsoft Frontpage media on mathematics learning outcomes of high school students, (b) the effect of learning activities on high school students' mathematics learning outcomes, (c) the effect of the interaction between problem based learning. by using Microsoft Frontpage media with learning activities on Mathematics learning outcomes. The population in this study were all class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Sibabangun consisting of 3 classes for the 2019/2020 school year. The sampling technique was carried out by means of purposive sampling. The research sample consisted of the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was taught by learning problem-based learning with microsoft frontpage media, namely class X-2 and class control taught by learning media microsoft frontpage, namely class X-3. The instruments used in this study were a learning outcome test and a learning activity questionnaire. Student learning outcomes using problem-based learning with Microsoft Frontpage media an average gain of 0.38 is higher than the average gain value of student learning outcomes taught using Microsoft Frontpage media of 0.24. The average gain of learning activities is 0.4. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Microsoft Frontpage, Learning Activities Abstrak: Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning  Menggunakan Media Microsoft Frontpage Dan Aktivitas Belajar Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Kelas X Sma. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat (a) pengaruh  pembelajaran  problem based learning dengan menggunakan media Microsoft Frontpage terhadap hasil belajar Matematika siswa SMA, (b) pengaruh aktivitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar Matematika siswa SMA, (c)  pengaruh interaksi antara  pembelajaran problem based learning dengan menggunakan media microsoft  frontpage  dengan  aktivitas  belajar  terhadap  hasil  belajar  Matematika. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Sibabangun terdiri dari 3 kelas tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara  purposive sampel.  Sampel  penelitian terdiri  atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas  eksperimen  diajarkan  dengan pembelajaran problem based learning dengan media microsoft frontpage yaitu kelas X-2 dan kelas  kontrol diajarkan dengan pembelajaran media  microsoft frontpage  yaitu  kelas   X-3. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dan kuisioner aktivitas belajar. Hasil belajar siswa menggunakan pembelajaran  problem based learning dengan  media  Microsoft  Frontpage  rata-rata gain sebesar 0,38 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata gain hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan media microsoft frontpage sebesar 0,24. Abstract

In the learning process students often do not understand the math problem being worked on, so the steps for solving it are not appropriate. This is caused by the students' mathematical problem solving abilities which are still low and the learning model used by the teacher is still not appropriate for students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities on the material system of three variable linear equations in class X. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research type and used a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The population of this study were all students of class X and the sample was taken by Cluster Random Sampling with 2 classes, namely the experimental class (X-1) and the control class (X-2). The instrument used is a description test of 5 questions and observation. This data analysis uses prerequisite test and hypothesis test with t-test. From the results of the study, the average Post-Test value of the experimental class was 78.68 and the average Post-Test value of the control class was 70.74. Judging from the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities between the experimental class and the control class, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a higher influence than conventional learning. Based on the hypothesis test using the t-test, the result is that tcount>ttable=2.123>2.016 with a significant level of 5%, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the three-variable linear equation system material in class X.

Abstract

Improving writing skills is as supporting factor for the success of learning carried out by each teacher. Writing ability comes from the habit of reading and analyzing problems in learning that is carried out every day. The culture of writing is still far from being a habit for teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran. Therefore, the University of HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University team has carried out a community service at SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran, Jalan Besar Parapat, Nagori Bah Sampuran. district Jorlang Hataran, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra where this service aims to socialize methods of improving English literacy skills using the problem based learning method for teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran. This service has been received with good response and was appreciated by the Principal of SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran. The results obtained from this service were 76.7% of participants who stated that they were satisfied with this service. It is hoped that with this activity, there will be a good cooperation established between the University and the school to develop the quality of teachers in order to create the higher quality education.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a mathematics learning technique to make it more interesting and also fun by carrying out online tutoring based on Quipper Video. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The research was conducted at Padamu Negeri Medan High School which carried out online tutoring. The results of this study are, (1) There is an increase in the quality of students' mathematics learning in the aspects of results, motivation, and aspects of the lesson plan. (2) The "Quipper Video" learning model has a positive impact on students' mathematics learning outcomes. (3) Students as research objects are excited and actively participate in mathematics learning activities through Quipper Video. (4) One of the supporting factors in creating Quipper Video online-based mathematics learning is a computer or android (5) Low motivation and lack of facilities also become inhibiting factors in the Quipper Video online-based mathematics learning process.

Abstract

Minimnya pengetahuan guru mengenai penulisan buku ajar merupakan permasalahan umum yang terjadi di sekolah karena guru pada umunya menggunakkan buku ajar yang diberikan oleh pemerintah. Olehkarana itu diperlukan sosialisasi penulisan buku ajar agar guru juga dapat menulis buku ajar yang dapat digunakan di sekolah. Tujuan dilaksanakannya pengabdian ini adalah agar guru- guru di SMP Negeri 3 Jorlang Hataran dapat memahami pentingnya penulisan buku ajar dan melalui pengabdian ini diharapakan guru- guru dapat menulis bbuku ajar yang baik. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan metode angket. Hasil pengabdian berdasarkan angket yang diisi oleh peserta pengabdian menujukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang positif bagi peserta PKM. Berdasarkan hasil tingkat kepuasan peserta PKM maka diperoleh bahwa peserta kegiatan PKM 100 % menyatakan sangat setuju dengan kegiatan pengabdian ini. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini juga ditunjukkan dalam bentuk kepuasan dari peserta yang hadir mengikuti kegiatan seminar dan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan dengan terlihat antusiasme peserta selama proses kegiatan berlangsung.

Abstract

Good teaching materials have certain criteria or certain standards, such as their relevance to the current curriculum. The STEM approach offers teachers the opportunity to introduce students to various concepts to teach teaching materials that can be integrated into natural sciences including chemistry. This research aims to describe the presentation of STEM aspects in class XI high school chemistry teaching materials regarding reaction rates. The method in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach. The data source comes from three books for class XI high school chemistry teaching materials which are most widely used in Pematangsiatar City. The technique for selecting research objects uses purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out analyzing material based on STEM indicators. Testing the validity of the instrument uses the Gregory formula, while testing the validity of the data uses data triangulation. The results of the research show that the percentage of quotations appearing in each book, namely in book A, has aspects of Science 30%, Technology 40%, and Mathematics 30%. In book B, the Science aspect is 19.05%, Technology 42.86%, Engineering 9.52% and Mathematics 28.57%. In book C, the Science aspect is 25%, Technology 25%, Engineering 18.75% and Mathematics 31.25%. Based on the total occurrence of STEM aspect indicators, the order of teaching materials that fulfill the STEM aspect is Book B > Book C > Book A, so that Book B has the highest number of occurrences of STEM aspect quotes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana model Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika. Kelas VIII SMP Swasta Satrya Budi Karang Rejo tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Jenis  penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dimana yang menjadi sampel kelas eksperimen dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-1, sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah kelas VIII-2. Instrumen tes deskripsi digunakan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Dari hasil penelitian diperileh rata-rata post-test eksperimen 78,50 dengan standar deviasi 5,923 nilai rata-rata post-test kontrol 73,90 dengan standar deviasi 5,268. Oleh karena itu hasil kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa post-test eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan post-test kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji prasyarat, Ftabel (4, 01) Fhitung(1, 264), dan uji hipotesis, thitung(3, 1784) ttabel (2, 001), H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Selain itu, Signifikansi uji hipotesis dihasilkan sebagai sig. (2-tailed) (0, 002) 0,005, yang menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Oleh karena itu dapat dikatakan penelitian ini H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, atau terdapat pengaruh antara model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Teorema Pythagoras. kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.

Abstract

Siswa memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang kurang baik dan kurang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran karena model pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru sehingga memaksa siswa untuk pasif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Pematangsiantar yang terdiri dari 7 kelas dan jumlah siswa sebanyak 223 siswa.Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 64 siswa dari kelas VIII-1 dan VIII-2.Dalam penelitian ini, data dikumpulkan dengan memberikan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah pengaruh paradigma pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa berbeda secara signifikan sebelum dan sesudah terapi.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 10 Pematangsiantar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen kelas eksperimen VIII-1 adalah 9,934 dan nilai post-test adalah 72,38, sedangkan nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas kontrol adalah 37,66 dan nilai post-test. nilainya adalah 62,48. Berdasarkan hasil uji instrumen, thitung kelas eksperimen sebesar 7,598 dan sig 0,166, sedangkan kelas kontrol thitung sebesar 7,598 dan sig 0,166.Diketahui bahwa thitung > ttabel. Angka yang dihasilkan adalah 7,598 > 1,998 yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansinya lebih besar dari 0,05. Jadi dalam penelitian ini Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, atau terdapat Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis siswa.Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of learning motivation on Mathematics Learning Achievement of class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar which consisted of 30 students. This research uses quantitative research with Quasi Experimental design research method. The population in this study was class XI as many as 9 classes at SMK Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar as many as 544 students. The number of samples taken was 30 students, namely class XI TAV-2. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and pre-test and post-test. The results of the study were to determine how much influence learning motivation had on mathematics learning achievement for XI grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar T.A 2022/2023. Learning achievement based on pre-test and post-test questions is high with an average score of 75.50 and 79.33
