Abstract

In higher education, students are not only required to study in class but students are also required to study independently. Students are not only required to learn academic material but also non-academic material. However, in meeting these demands, students can encounter several obstacles such as difficulty finding references or literature, managing study time well, interacting with friends and lecturers, or self-management. This results in students experiencing academic procrastination. Academic procrastination is a behavior in which you procrastinate a task or an activity in carrying out an assignment but it takes longer than the time allotted (Nisa D.S, 2023). Therefore, this research aims to determine the effectiveness of handling student academic procrastination through self-reflection. This research uses the Academic Procrastination scale instrument with 10 statement items and the Self-Muhasabah scale with 10 statement items. Data analysis uses the product-moment correlation method from Pearson. The purpose of this analysis is to find a correlation between self-reflection and academic procrastination in students. The findings of this research show that the results of the correlation between academic procrastination and self-Contemplation obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.854 and a significance value of p=<0.01, this shows that self-Contemplation influences dealing with students' academic procrastination.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia faces significant challenges in the 21st century, primarily due to globalization, digitalization, and increasingly complex socio-cultural dynamics. These conditions require PAI learning to be oriented not only toward mastering religious knowledge but also toward strengthening digital literacy and internalizing local wisdom to shape inclusive and tolerant student character. This study aims to identify models for integrating local wisdom and digital literacy into PAI materials and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors for their implementation in contemporary learning contexts. This research employed a qualitative approach through literature review, analysis of PAI curriculum documents, and semi-structured interviews. Interviews were conducted with eight informants: five junior high and senior high school PAI teachers and three Islamic education practitioners from three regions with diverse cultural backgrounds. Data were analyzed using data reduction, categorization, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results revealed three key findings. First, the integration of local wisdom into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is most effective when values ​​such as tolerance, mutual cooperation, and respect for diversity are directly contextualized within the material on faith, morals, and Islamic jurisprudence through digital-based local case studies. Second, the use of interactive digital media—such as narrative videos based on local culture, online learning platforms, and educational apps—significantly increases student engagement and strengthens the understanding of moderate Islamic values. Third, the success of integration is strongly influenced by teachers' digital literacy competencies and the policy support of educational institutions.However, this study also identified major obstacles in the form of limited teacher digital competencies, disparities in technological infrastructure, and resistance on the part of some educators to changes in traditional learning paradigms. The study's conclusions emphasize the need to develop contextual Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning models based on local wisdom and digital literacy, accompanied by teacher training policies and the provision of sustainable digital resources to ensure PAI remains relevant and responsive to the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

In the rapidly developing modern era, the main challenge in Islamic education is how to maintain the truth values taught in Islam, especially among the younger generation exposed to globalization, social media, and secular lifestyles. This study aims to analyze the role of discipline in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at MTs Nurul Abror Asembakor Kraksaan Probolinggo in preserving Islamic values amid the progress of the times. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. Data were collected from 10 IRE teachers, 30 students, and 5 school administrators. The results of the study show that religious discipline is applied well within the school; however, the main challenge arises from the influence of social media and peer pressure outside the school. Furthermore, technology plays a dual role: on one hand, it can strengthen religious learning, but on the other hand, it also becomes a source of distraction. This study concludes that in order to preserve Islamic values, religious discipline needs to be applied consistently across all aspects of students' lives, both inside and outside school. The implications of this study suggest the need for synergy between schools, families, and communities in supporting Islamic education that is relevant to the challenges of the times. The recommendations of this study include the development of curricula and training programs that involve parents and the community in strengthening religious discipline among students.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction in secondary schools often encounters challenges related to students’ low interest and limited understanding, particularly when dealing with abstract learning materials. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of animation-based instructional videos in improving students’ learning outcomes and engagement in PAI lessons. The research employed a Classroom Action Research design conducted in two cycles, involving 37 seventh-grade students at SMP ALAM Banyuwangi Islamic School. Data were collected through classroom observations, learning achievement tests, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate a notable improvement in both teacher and student activities. Teacher activity increased from 70% in the initial cycle to 86.66% in the second cycle, while student activity rose from 63.33% to 86.66%. In terms of learning outcomes, the class average score improved from 73.33 in the pre-learning stage to 93.24 in the second cycle, with overall mastery reaching 89.19%. These results demonstrate that animation-based video media effectively facilitate students’ understanding of abstract concepts, enhance motivation, and encourage active participation in the learning process. This study highlights the importance of integrating audio-visual media into Islamic and religious education and contributes to the growing body of literature on digital media effectiveness in educational contexts. It is recommended that PAI teachers adopt animation-based videos as an innovative instructional strategy, while future studies may investigate their long-term impact on students’ affective and psychomotor domains

Abstract

Floods that occurred in Sumatra and Aceh in 2025 indicate an increasing frequency of natural disasters affecting community life and ecosystems. One approach that can be applied to reduce disaster risk is the implementation of ecotheological values in Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This article aims to analyze how Islamic Religious Education can integrate the concept of ecotheology, which teaches responsibility toward nature and the environment as a trust from God. By focusing on teachings related to environmental protection and ecosystem sustainability within the IRE curriculum, it is expected to foster environmental awareness among younger generations. This study employs a qualitative method using a case study of flood disasters in Sumatra and Aceh as its background. The findings indicate that the application of ecotheology in IRE can enhance public understanding and concern for environmental issues, as well as encourage preventive actions in the sustainable management of natural resources. Therefore, ecotheology-based reform of the IRE curriculum can serve as an effective strategy for mitigating flood risks and other natural disasters.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya di tingkat Madrasah Aliyah. Namun, realitas di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian siswa masih memiliki motivasi belajar yang rendah dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PAI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam strategi guru PAI dalam membangun motivasi belajar siswa melalui pendekatan humanistik di Madrasah Aliyah Probolinggo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi dengan informan utama guru PAI serta siswa sebagai informan pendukung. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI secara sadar menerapkan pendekatan humanistik dengan memposisikan siswa sebagai subjek pembelajaran. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi pembangunan hubungan interpersonal yang positif dan dialogis, pendekatan personal dan empatik, pemberian penguatan positif, serta penyajian pembelajaran PAI yang kontekstual dan bermakna. Penerapan strategi tersebut mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang aman, nyaman, dan partisipatif, sehingga mendorong tumbuhnya motivasi belajar intrinsik siswa. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan perbedaan kemampuan siswa, pendekatan humanistik terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta membentuk sikap religius dan kesadaran moral siswa. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan humanistik dapat dijadikan alternatif strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI di Madrasah Aliyah.

Abstract

This article discusses the strengthening of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through a humanisticapproach as a strategic effort to shape students’ religious character in schools. The humanisticapproach positions students as active subjects who possess potential, needs, and experiences that mustbe respected in the learning process. In the context of modern education—which demands moredialogical, empathetic, and student-centered learning—PAI is required to present methods that notonly emphasize cognitive aspects but also foster a deep internalization of religious values. Using adescriptive qualitative method with a literature study, this article analyzes the concept of thehumanistic approach, its implementation strategies in PAI learning, and its relevance to thedevelopment of religious character. The findings show that the humanistic approach creates a moreopen, communicative, and inclusive learning environment that values students’ diverse abilities,thereby facilitating the internalization of Islamic teachings. Teachers act as facilitators who encouragereflection, dialogue, and role modeling in daily behavior, allowing values such as honesty,responsibility, empathy, discipline, and noble character to be naturally instilled. Thus, the humanisticapproach proves to be relevant and effective in strengthening Islamic Religious Education and formingstudents who are not only intellectually intelligent but also spiritually and morally mature.

Abstract

Fiqih merupakan salah satu cabang ilmu dalam agama Islam yang mengatur berbagai aspek kehidupan umat Muslim, termasuk dalam pelaksanaan ibadah. Dua ibadah yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah wudhu dan shalat. Wudhu merupakan ritual penyucian diri sebelum melaksanakan shalat yang memiliki tata cara dan syarat-syarat tertentu. Dalam fiqih, wudhu tidak hanya dimaknai sebagai kegiatan pembersihan fisik, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk menyucikan hati dan mendekatkan diri kepada Allah SWT. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas tata cara wudhu yang benar sesuai dengan ajaran fiqih serta maknanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, artikel ini juga akan menjelaskan tentang shalat sebagai bentuk ibadah yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh setiap Muslim, yang memiliki aturan dan syarat yang harus dipenuhi agar sah. Melalui pemahaman yang mendalam tentang fiqih wudhu dan shalat, diharapkan pembaca dapat mengaplikasikan tata cara tersebut dengan benar dan meresapi maknanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pemahaman yang baik mengenai kedua ibadah ini akan memperkuat kualitas ibadah serta memperdalam penghayatan spiritual dalam menjalani kehidupan sebagai seorang Muslim.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan teknologi di sektor pendidikan Indonesia semakin meningkat, khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran dan evaluasi. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan sistem ujian online menggunakan Google Forms kepada siswa/siswi tingkat SMA sederajat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei kebutuhan, persiapan administratif, pelatihan pembuatan soal ujian online, dan evaluasi program. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu mengaplikasikan Google Forms untuk mengumpulkan data dan melaksanakan evaluasi pembelajaran secara efektif. Keunggulan Google Forms, seperti kemudahan penggunaan, akses gratis, serta integrasi dengan Google Drive, turut mendukung efisiensi dan pengelolaan data. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa/siswi dalam menghadapi era digital dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada metode konvensional berbasis kertas. Pelatihan ini mendapat tanggapan positif dari peserta, dengan sebagian besar menyatakan bahwa kegiatan berjalan sangat baik dan bermanfaat.

Abstract

The sad condition of families in the area is that they often experience the inability to take care of the corpse. Caring for the Corpse becomes fardhu kifayah for Muslims in organizing the management of the Corpse with the obligation to bathe, shroud, pray and bury, because the series of corpse management processions are meaningful in the value of community life. The above problems are the reason for us, the to form a community service team (PKM) and conduct training on funeral arrangements as an effort to help knowledge in the management of the corpse. This PKM uses lecture and practice methods, namely by providing theoretical and practical science material. The hope is that all people, especially students, can know and master the funeral arrangements so that the mutual obligation or fardhu kifayah can be carried out properly. The training activities are intended to socialize the role and function and cadre of amil jenazah in the implementation of funeral arrangements. It is hoped that this training can maximize the role of humanist and religious values for the benefit of the community.
