Abstract

This study examines the role of communication among stakeholders in enhancing the quality of education at private universities (PTS) in Probolinggo. By analyzing the interactions between university leadership, faculty, students, alumni, and local government, this research explores how effective communication fosters collaboration and institutional development. A qualitative approach is employed through interviews, observations, and literature analysis to identify key factors contributing to educational quality improvement. Findings indicate that effective communication enhances student performance, institutional reputation, and graduate employability. For instance, the implementation of regular academic forums and open dialogues between university leadership and faculty has facilitated curriculum alignment with industry needs, improving the relevance of education. Additionally, alumni engagement through mentoring programs and partnerships with businesses has expanded career opportunities for graduates, demonstrating the impact of communication in building professional networks. The study also clarifies that "educational outcomes" in this context encompass student academic achievement, institutional accreditation, and the effectiveness of educational policies. Based on these findings, the research recommends establishing a more structured communication system, utilizing digital platforms to enhance stakeholder interaction, and strengthening feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous educational quality improvement. These recommendations provide valuable insights for other higher education institutions seeking to optimize communication strategies for academic and institutional advancement. Abstract

Sexual violence in religious-based educational institutions remains a critical issue that threatens students' safety and well-being. Despite the assumption that such schools uphold strong moral values, cases of teacher-student misconduct continue to emerge, often exacerbated by power imbalances, inadequate supervision, and cultural stigmas that prevent victims from reporting abuse. This study aims to investigate the contributing factors to sexual violence in religious schools, assess the effectiveness of existing prevention policies, and propose comprehensive strategies to enhance student protection. The research is guided by three key questions: (1) What factors contribute to sexual violence in religious-based schools? (2) How effective are the current policies in preventing such incidents? (3) What strategies can be implemented to strengthen preventive measures in these institutions? This study employs a qualitative research approach using in-depth interviews, observations, and policy analysis. The research focuses on a case study in Grobogan, Central Java, where a recent incident underscores systemic weaknesses in preventing sexual violence. Findings indicate that lack of awareness about ethical teacher-student boundaries, weak institutional supervision, and social stigma surrounding sexual abuse contribute significantly to the problem. Furthermore, reporting mechanisms are often inaccessible or ineffective, discouraging victims from seeking justice. The study proposes establishing anonymous reporting systems, strengthening ethical training for teachers and students, and integrating religious-based sexual education into school curricula. These recommendations aim to foster a safer learning environment by balancing effective child protection with respect for religious and cultural values. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and religious leaders to develop holistic, sustainable approaches to preventing sexual violence in schools.

Abstract

The learning of Fiqh Munakahat in Islamic educational institutions often faces challenges, particularly in terms of student engagement and understanding. Conventional teaching methods, which tend to be theoretical and less interactive, often result in low participation and limited conceptual understanding among students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of role-playing as an innovative strategy to improve student participation and understanding in Fiqh Munakahat learning. The research approach used is a quasi-experimental design with a mixed-methods approach at Madrasah Diniyah Muadalah Aliyah (MDMA) Nurul Qarnain, Sukowono, Jember. The study subjects consisted of 40 eleventh-grade students, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure student understanding, as well as observations and interviews to assess the level of participation in the learning process. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in student understanding after the implementation of the role-playing method, confirmed through statistical analysis of the pre-test and post-test. Additionally, observations revealed that this method encouraged active student involvement, increased motivation, and deepened their understanding of Fiqh Munakahat concepts through role simulations. These findings suggest that the role-playing method is an effective and innovative teaching strategy in Fiqh Munakahat education. The implications of this study indicate that using more interactive teaching methods could serve as an alternative for educators to enhance the quality of learning in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Community Service Activity (PKM) with the title "Upgrading the Religiosity of Street Children in Sebani Village, Pasuruan City through Reading and Writing Hijaiyah Letters and Learning the Five Daily Prayers" has succeeded in providing a significant impact on increasing the religiosity of street children, both in terms of cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and social aspects. By using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this activity involves street children as active subjects who participate in the process of identifying problems, planning, implementing, and reflecting. Collaboration between researchers, communities, and participants creates a participatory and meaningful learning space. The use of various educational and Islamic theories strengthens the results of the activity: Transformative Islamic Theory encourages liberating and empowering spiritual changes. Al-Attas' theory emphasizes the importance of instilling manners and internalizing Islamic values. Maslow's theory provides an understanding of the importance of fulfilling basic needs as a foundation for the growth of spiritual awareness. Bandura's theory supports the social learning process through role models and positive reinforcement. Overall, this activity shows that increasing the religiosity of street children is not only possible, but can also be achieved effectively with the right, collaborative approach, and touching on spiritual aspects as well as their basic needs
