Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know: (1) mathematical communication ability of students in class VIII SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Deli Tua before applied realistic mathematics approach, (2) process of realistic mathematical approach implementation to improve students' mathematical communication ability in circle material in class VIII SMP Yayasan Islamic Education Deli Tua, (3) improvement of students' mathematical communication ability in class VIII SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Deli Tua after applied realistic mathematics approach. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study are the students of class VIII-2 SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Deli Tua which amounts to 24 students and the object of this research is the application of realistic mathematical approach to improve students' mathematical communication skills in the circle material in class VIII SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Deli Tua TA 2016/2017 . Data analysis shows that in learning by applying realistic mathematical approach can improve students' mathematical communication ability. The percentage of students' mathematical communication ability level is classified as an improvement in the initial test of 29.17%, in the first cycle of 66.67%, and in cycle II increased to 87.50%. Observations on the process of applying a realistic mathematical approach done by teachers also increased, the result of observation in cycle I is 2.7 which means good and in cycle II is 3.1 which means good. This shows that the application of realistic mathematical approach can improve students' mathematical communication ability in learning mathematics in class VIII SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Deli Tua T.A 2016/2017.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the ability to solve problems and think creatively in mathematics students who are taught with the problem based learning model with the two-stay-two stray cooperative learning model in class X SMA Negeri 2 Range of TP 2018 / 2019. This research is research quantitative research with quasi-experimental type. This sampling technique uses the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The sample of this study was students of class X-1 and X-2 of SMA Negeri 2 Kisaran T.P 2018/2019, amounting to 60 students. The test instrument used to determine students' creative problem solving abilities and mathematical creative thinking is to use a test in the form of a description. Data analysis was performed by analysis of variance (ANAVA). These findings show: 1). There is a difference in the ability to solve mathematical problem of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning model and the Two Stay-Two Stray cooperative learning model in the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System; 2). There is no difference between students' creative thinking abilities in mathematics taught by the Problem Based Learning model and the Two Stay-Two Stray cooperative learning model in the Three Variable Linear Equation System material; 3). There is a difference in the ability of problem solving and mathematical creative thinking of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning model and the Two Stay-Two Stray cooperative learning model in the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System; 4). There is no significant interaction between the learning models used on the problem solving abilities and students' mathematical creative thinking in the Three Variable Linear Equation System material. The conclusions in this study explain that there are differences in students' problem solving abilities and creative mathematical thinking that are taught with the Problem Based Learning Model and the Two Stay-Two Stray Cooperative Learning Model.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know: (1) The kind of error students doinsloving The Material of Reading Exercise of Himpunan based onNewman Procedure in class VII of SMP Swasta Al-Washliyah 8Medan, (2) The causes of the students error insolving The Materialof Reading Exercise of Himpunan based on Newman Procedure inclass VII of SMP Swasta Al-Washliyah 8 Medan.This research isqualitative research. The subject of the research is the students ofseven grade SMP Swasta Al-Washliyah 8 Medan Academic Year2017/2018. The choice of this research subject is by taken 6 of 34for students of VII-1 class, each consist of 2 higher level group, 2medium level group, and 2 lower level group. This grouping isbased on the ranks of the student. Then, are chosen 2 studentswiththe lowest correct answer on each group. Data collection procedureon this research use the method of the test and interviewing. Everysubject research was interviewed of their work result on Materialof Reading Exercises of Himpunan. Data analysis of this researchuse Miles and Huberman Model consist of data reduction, datapresentation, and conclusion. The validity test of the data in thisstudy was carried out by Triangulation Technique.The resultsshowed that students made mistake in the type of ComprehensionError, Transformation Error, and Process Skill Error. This error canbe seen from the following percentage: Comprehension Erroroccurs as much as 14,71%, Transformation Error occurs as muchas 43,38% (this error is the most mistakes made by students), andProcess Skill occurs as much as 1,47%. The cause of the error isnot being able to change it into the symbol of Himpunan. They arenot used to write the questions, unable to plan a solution for theproblem, wrong in determining the right formula for the questiongiven, not realize their mistakes in the count of operationsperformed, and can not count operations correctly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) students' mathematics learning outcomes by using macromedia flash multimedia (2) students' mathematics learning outcomes using conventional learning (3) the effect of multimedia macromedia flash on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research, with research type quasi experiment (quasi experiment). The population is all students of class VII MTs Al-Ulum Medan Lesson Year 2016/2017. The sample of this study were students of class VII-6 which amounted to 36 people as an experimental class taught using multimedia macromedia flash, and students of class VII-5 totaling 34 people as a control class taught by conventional. From the data analysis, the findings obtained are differences in the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class using macromedia flash multimedia and control classes that use conventional learning. In the study, the average value of the experimental class for pretest (initial test) was 57.92 with a standard deviation of 10.09 while for posttest (final test) was 75.97 with a standard deviation of 10.34 higher than the previous average value . In the control class the average value obtained for pretest (initial test) was 56.0 with a standard deviation of 11.13 while for the average posttest score (final test) of 69.56 with a standard deviation of 8.38 higher than the previous average value. To test the hypothesis that there is a significant influence between multimedia macromedia flash on mathematics learning outcomes learners Mts Al-Ulum Medan. Where proved that thitung> ttable is 2,848> 1,994.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaraan kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dan Group Investigation (GI). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA MAN 1 Medan tahun ajaran 2018-2019 yang berjumlah 372 siswa. Sampel yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah kelas XI MIA 6 dan XI MIA 7 yang masing-masing berjumlah 45 siswa untuk dijadikan kelas eksperimen yang ditentukan dengan cara Cluster Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis varian (ANAVA) dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Uji Tuckey. Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan: (1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan GI Materi Pokok Integral Kelas XI MIA MAN 1 Medan; (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan GI Materi Pokok Integral Kelas XI MIA MAN 1 Medan; (3) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan GI Materi Pokok Integral Kelas XI MIA MAN 1 Medan; (4) Tidak terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran yang digunakan terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Simpulan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa kemampuan penalaran dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa lebih baik diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS daripada dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI. Kata Kunci:Kemampuan penalaran matematis , komunikasi matematis, Think Pair Share (TPS), Group Investigation (GI) Abstract:This study aims to determine the differences in reasoning abilities and mathematical communication skills of students who are taught with the Think Pair Share (TPS) and Group Investigation (GI). This research is a quantitative research, with the type of quasi-experimental research. The population was all students of class XI MIA MAN 1 Medan for the 2018-2019 academic year, totaling 372 students. The sample used by the researcher was class XI MIA 6 and XI MIA 7, each of which totaled 45 students to be used as an experimental class which was determined by means of cluster random sampling. The data was collected using instruments of students' reasoning abilities and mathematical communication skills. Data analysis was performed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and then continued with the Tuckey Test. The results of these findings indicate: (1) There are differences in reasoning abilities and mathematical communication skills of students taught by cooperative learning models TPS and GI type Integral Subject Class XI MIA MAN 1 Medan; (2) There are differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities taught by the cooperative learning model type TPS and GI Integral Subject Class XI MIA MAN 1 Medan; (3) There is no difference in the mathematical communication skills of students who are taught with the cooperative learning model type TPS and GI Integral Subject Class XI MIA MAN 1 Medan; (4) There is no significant interaction between the learning model used on students' reasoning abilities and mathematical communication skills. The conclusion of this study explains that students' mathematical reasoning and communication skills are better taught with the TPS-type cooperative learning model than with the GI-type cooperative learning model. Keywords:Mathematical reasoning skills, mathematical communication, Think Pair Share (TPS), Group Investigation (GI)

Abstract

Penelitian ini menelaah konsep matematika dalam proses pembuatan tempe. Tempe sebagai salah satu makanan khas Indonesia memiliki unsur etnomatematika di dalam proses pembuataannya, etnomatematika yang ditelaah adalah konsep-konsep matematika yang berhubungan dengan matematika yang dipelajari di sekolah. Sehingga, matematika yang ditemukan dalam proses pembuatan tempe ini dapat dijadikan sebagai pendekatan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengemukakan konsep-konsep matematika sebagai sebuah aktivitas, yaitu dalam proses pembuatan tempe. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, data diperoleh melalui proses wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman yakni reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan konsep-konsep matematika dalam proses pembuatan tempe di antaranya konsep operasi bilangan, aritmetika sosial, berhitung, perbandingan, geometri ruang, debit air, volume dan waktu, pengukuran, kesebangunan dan kekongruenan, pola bilangan, serta peluang. Konsep matematika yang ditemukan adalah matematika yang juga dipelajari di sekolah.

Abstract

Buku teks kelas 10 merupakan media cetak yang selalu digunakan peserta didik dalam belajar. Namun buku teks ini masih ditemukan beberapa kekurangan baik dari desain cover maupun isi. Akibatnya peserta didik sangat bosan untuk menggunakannya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti tertarik mendesain buku saku matematika berbasis HOTS kelas X. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui kelayakan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan buku saku matematika sebagai media pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini ialah peneltian dan pengembangan atau R&D dengan menggunakan model 4-D menjadi 3-D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai persentase dari ahli media sebesar 95,5% dan dari ahli materi sebesar 94%, dengan kategori layak digunakan. Sedangkan hasil persentase respon siswa menunjukkan angka 94,04% dengan kategori sangat positif sehingga buku saku praktis digunakan oleh peserta didik di dalam kelas. Adapun persentase keefektifan pembelajaran dengan buku saku sebesar 95%, dikategorikan sangat efektif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain buku saku matematika berbasis HOTS kelas X dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di dalam kelas, sehingga peserta didik akan lebih semangat dalam belajar matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan : (1) mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL), (2) mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model Reciprocal Teaching, (3) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Model Reciprocal Teaching.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif,. Populasi adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Washliyah 8 Medan yang secara acak dipilih 2 kelas. Kelas eksperimen 1 diberikan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learningdan kelas eksperimen 2 diberi perlakukan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching.Temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan : (1) Berdasarkan rata-rata nilai, maka siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan Model PembelajaranProblem Based Learning memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa 4,385 lebih tinggi dari sis wa yang diajar menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. Sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baikdaripada siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. (2) Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji F, diperoleh nilai FHitung = 8,671. Diketahui bahwa nilai koefisien FHitung > FTabel. Artinya Terdapat perbedaan antara model pembelajaran Problem Based Learningdan Reciprocal Teaching. Kata Kunci: Pemecahan Masalah Matematika; Problem Based Learning; Reciprocal Teaching; Kubus dan Balok. The experimental class 1 was given the Problem Based Learning learning model and the experimental class 2 was treated with the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. 4,385 higher than students who were taught using the Reciprocal Teaching Learning Model. So that the ability to solve mathematical problems of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning learning model is better than the students who are taught by the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. (2) results Based on the analysis of the F test, obtained the value of FCount = 8,671. in addition, the value of the coefficient FCount > FTable. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi eksponen dan logaritma. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode regresi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk variabel X1 dan variabel X2 dengan menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert dan untuk variabel Y dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors untuk normalitas dan uji Bartlet untuk homogenitas. Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan kecerdasan emosional siswa dikategorikan tinggi dengan nilai Rata-rata 74,67 sedangkan motivasi belajar dikategorikan tinggi dengan nilai Rata-rata 70,73 dan hasil belajar matematika siswa dikategorikan cukup dengan nilai Rata-rata 61,07 dan ditunjukkan dengan Hipotesis pertama nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 4,492 > 1,672 yang berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. kemudian Hipotesis kedua nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 3,135 > 1,672 yang berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. serta Hipotesis ketiga nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 8,947 > 1,662. ABSTRACT This study aims to see how emotional intelligence and motivation affect students' math results in both exponential and logarithma materials. It's a quantitative study. The method used was the regression method. Data collection techniques that are used for x1 and x2 variables by using neer-based scales and for variable y by using test results. Data analysis techniques using the liliefors test for normality and bartlet tests for homoity The findings suggest that the student's emotional intelligence is categorized at an average of 74.67 whereas the motivation for learning is categorized high by an average value of 70.73 and the students' math is categorized sufficiently with a value of 61.07 and is indicated by the first hypothesis of thitung > ttabel 4.492 > 1.672, which means there is a significant influence between emotional intelligence and student mathematics. Then the second hypothesis of value thitung > ttable is 3.135 > 1.672, which means there is a significant influence between the motivation to learn and the students' math. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika make a match berbantuan autoplay untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D yakni pendefenisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi yang digunakan untuk mengukur kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, angket respon siswa, angket respon guru, dan tes hasil belajar. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yakni RPP dengan skor kevalidan 3,73, LKPD yang divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan skor 3,82 dan 3,67, serta media pembelajaran yang divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan skor 3,93 dan 3,67. Respon guru dan siswa dengan persentase 82% dan 87,5% dengan kategori praktis. Selanjutnya, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan kategori interpretasi indeks Gain ternormalisasi 0,3<g<0,7 tergolong sedang. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan; Make A Match; Autoplay; 4D.   ABSTRACT       This study aims to develop make a match mathematics learning tools assisted by autoplay to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning tools. This type of research is development research that refers to the 4D development model, namely definition, design, development, and dissemination. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets which were used to measure the validity of the developed learning tools, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. The learning tools developed were lesson plans with a validity score of 3.73, LKPD validated by material experts and media experts with a score of 3.82 and 3.67, and learning media validated by material experts and media experts with a score of 3.93 and 3. ,67. The responses of teachers and students with a percentage of 82% and 87.5% in the practical category. Furthermore, the learning media developed with a significant increase in learning outcomes in the interpretation category of the normalized Gain index of 0.3 <g <0.7 is moderate.
