Abstract

The Kurikulum 2013 –Indonesia's novel Curriculum invented in 2013– is implemented through activity-based learning using a scientific approach. Curriculum changes do not only occur in the dimensions of the plan/document, but in its implementation in the quality of the process which has an impact on learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Kurikulum 2013 scientific approach and its impact on the quality of the learning processes and outcomes at MAN in Lampung Province. The research uses a mixed methods with sequential mixed methods design. The respondents consisted of 26 teachers and 126 students. Data were collected by conducting interview, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. The validity was tested by Pearson’s validity and Cronbach Alpha reliability. The results showed that teachers can apply a scientific approach to the implementation of the Kurikulum 2013 well. It can be seen from the teacher’s ability to prepare lesson plans, though there are some teachers (working period of 21 to 30 years) who are constrained during the learning process, such as observing the learning and not being able in presenting the media. The scientific approach has a very good impact on the quality of the learning process and outcomes. It can be seen by the increase in student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This problem is motivated by the fact that there are still many children who are fatherless because of divorced parents and fathers who are not present in the development of their social and emotional development have not yet developed. This study aims to find out how the impact of fatherlessness on the social and emotional development of children who have divorced parents, and children whose fathers are not present in development. The subjects of this research were 10 single parents/transferential care parents for early childhood children aged 5-6 years. The results of the research on the impact of fatherlessness on social- emotional development who experienced divorced parents had social-emotional development that was not well developed, children were still able to interact with other people but had a shy, quiet, introverted nature, preferring to be alone. the impact of fatherlessness on the social-emotional development of divorced parents has a social-emotional development that begins to develop the ability to interact with the environment and be cooperative. For the ability to interact with the surrounding environment, to be cooperative, to be tolerant, and to be empathetic well even though it is only limited to family members and closest friends. The findings that researchers found on the impact of fatherlessness on social-emotional development occurred in fatherless children, because of divorced parents and fathers who were not present in development. Children who experience divorced parents are more likely to be hampered by aspects of social-emotional development compared to fatherless children who are missing their parents’ role during the development process.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in achieving learning outcomes in phase D in Mathematics subjects at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung. The Independent Learning Curriculum is a new policy that gives teachers the freedom to design relevant and contextual learning, according to students' needs and potential. The type of research used in this study is mixed methods (Mixed Method), namely combining quantitative and qualitative methods in one research. Data was collected through classroom observations, interviews with the principal, deputy principal for curriculum, and Mathematics teachers, as well as distributing questionnaires to class IX students at SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung, and from student learning outcomes taken from report cards. To ensure the validity of the data, several efforts were made, namely technical triangulation and Percentages Correction. The research results show that the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in phase D has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Teachers have the freedom to choose appropriate teaching materials and learning methods, so that they can increase student involvement and motivation during the learning process. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited resources and differences in understanding between teachers regarding the principles of the Independent Learning Curriculum. The conclusion of this research is that although there are obstacles, the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum can improve learning outcomes in phase D in Mathematics, as long as it is supported by adequate training and resources.

(3) Knowing the effect of schoology-based e-learning media on mathematical communication ability. The study used a quasi-experimental design with Posttest-OnlyControlDesign. Random sampling technique with a population of 259 students of class X MAN 1 East Lampung. The sample of the experimental class is 30 students, and the control class is 30. Collecting data in the form of tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is One-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance test with a significance level of 5%. The result of the study is (1) There is an effect of schoology-based e-learning media on concepts understanding and mathematical communication abilities, the F value is 3,821 with a significance of 0,042. (2)There is an effect of schoology-based e-learning media on the ability to understand concepts with an F value of 126.761. (3) There is an effect of schoology-based e-learning media on mathematical communication ability with an F values of 19.532. it can be concluded that schoology-based e-learning media is effective in increasing the concepts understanding and mathematical communication abilities. However, in this study, it has not emerged what learning model is used in applying the schoology media. Hence, when measuring mathematical communication ability, students only measure in the form of written communication (answers to description questions). Further research can be done by showing the use of appropriate learning models for schoology media. Also, the measurement of mathematical communication ability must also be considered in other forms, namely during discussion forums in schoology
