Abstract

Accidents involving young children, both at home and at school, continue to increase. One of the causes is the lack of safe play facilities and the overprotective attitude of parents. This study aims to examine the relationship between teachers' and parents' knowledge of injury risks and the preventive actions they take to protect children during physical activities. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method, involving observation, structured interviews, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests through SPSS. The results of the study show a positive correlation between teachers' and parents' knowledge and the implementation of preventive measures, such as close supervision, the use of protective equipment, and preparedness in dealing with emergencies. Basic knowledge of first aid and cooperation between teachers, parents, and medical staff proves to create a safer environment. In conclusion, good knowledge of injury risks enables teachers and parents to be more proactive in preventing injuries, thereby creating a safe play environment that supports children's optimal development.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum has been officially designated as the national curriculum for the 2024/2025 academic year, as outlined in KMA No. 347 of 2022. However, early childhood Islamic institutions (RA) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs remain underserved in professional training, creating a gap in curriculum readiness. This study aimed to enhance RA teachers’ capacity to implement the Independent Curriculum through a structured mentoring program focusing on curriculum design and teaching module development. Using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the program engaged 25 RA/PAUD teachers in Bandar Lampung through six online sessions and one offline workshop. The training covered differentiated learning, operational curriculum (KOM) development, and the integration of P5PPRA (Project Strengthening Profile of Pancasila Students and Rahmatan Lil Alamin). Results indicate significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of learner-centered pedagogy, assessment, and the alignment of vision-mission with instructional goals. Two institutions produced complete KOM documents, while others demonstrated partial progress. The program also fostered reflective teaching practices, collaborative planning, and integration of local culture and religious values into instructional design. In conclusion, sustained mentoring can bridge the gap in curriculum implementation at the early childhood level, promote teacher agency, and support systemic transformation aligned with the values of Islamic education. These findings underscore the importance of long-term, context-based professional development for successful curriculum reform.

Abstract

SMPN 1 Batanghariin the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013.  They were two students who had field dependence cognitive style and two students who had field independence cognitive style. The subjects were taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The data of this research were gathered through think aloud method. The data were then analyzed by using the technique with the procedureas follows: (1) the data were classified on the basis of the indicators of mathematical communication after the data had been obtained from the first and the second collections; (2) the data were presented in table form; and (3) the conclusions were drawn. The validity of the data was conducted by using time triangulation. The result of this research were analyzed by using constant comparison in which subject in i (i= 1, 2) with the j (j= 1, 2) cognitive style which was already valid as well compared with subject in k (k= 1, 2) with the the j (j= 1, 2) cognitive style which was already valid as well. The equal ability of mathematical communication was made the main finding wheares the different ability of mathematical communication was made the other finding. The result of this research valid because of the dependability proved. The ability of mathematical communication of the students with the field dependence cognitive style is different from that of those with the field independence cognitive style. The students with the field dependence cognitive style can communicate the ideas in written way well but they have difficulties in communicating ideas in spoken way as well as inclination to receive information without reorganizing it in such a way that the problem-solving ideas presented cannot reveal the actual problem solution. Meanwhile, the students with the field independence cognitive style can communicate the ideas well in both spoken and written ways and process as well as reorganize information in such a way that the problem-solving ideas presented can reveal the actual problem solution.

Abstract

This article aims to find out how the ability to understand concepts and solve mathematical problems of junior high school students in Bandar Lampung after being treated using Multy Reprecentacy Discourse learning (DMR) assisted by dragonbox games for one semester of learning. Data analysis was based on an assessment of 64 students (experimental class n = 32 and control class n = 32) using the One-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) analysis technique. The results showed that significantly learning during the Covid-19 pandemic using the DMR model assisted by mathematics games had a better effect on students' understanding of concepts and solving mathematical problems partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

Analytical thinking is a skill to unite the initial process, plan solutions, produce solutions, and conclude something to produce conclusions or correct answers. This research aims to 1) determine whether there are differences in students' mathematical, analytical thinking skills between classes that use the Open-ended learning method and classes that use the lecturing method, 2) to find out whether there are mathematical, analytical thinking skills differences between students with high, moderate, and low self-awareness criteria, and 3) to find out whether there is an interaction between Open-ended learning method and self-awareness toward students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills. This research employs a quasi-experimental design. Based on the data and data analysis, this research is mixed-method research, and the design used in this research is the posttest control group design. This research was conducted on students who have studied the Real Analysis Courses. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found out that, first, there are differences in students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills between the class that uses the Open-ended learning method and the class that uses the lecturing method. Second, there are mathematical-analytical thinking skills differences between high, moderate, and low self-awareness criteria. Third, there is no interaction between the Open-ended learning method with self-awareness of students' mathematical-analytical thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was an influence of Geogebra's 5E Learning Cycle learning model on understanding mathematical concepts. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research, data analysis techniques in this study using the NGain test and T test. Based on the calculation obtained the average value of NGain in the experimental class is 0.686 and the average value of N-Gain in the control class is 0.354. The conclusion that can be drawn from these calculations is that there is an increase in the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students in the Geogebra-assisted 5E Learning Cycle class in the learning process, this also shows that the geogebra application has a positive influence on improving the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know whether there is influence of learning model of Geogebra-assisted Discovery Learning to understanding mathematical concept, to know whether there is influence between learners who have cognitive style of FI and FD to understanding mathematical concept, to know whether there is interaction between learning of Discovery Learning Unity Geogebra with the cognitive style of learners towards the understanding of mathematical concepts. This research type is quasi experiment research, population in this research is all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, sampling technique in this research use class random technique where class VII-8 as experiment class 1 with study of Discovery Learning assisted geogebra, Class VII-7 as a control class with Discovery Learning learning with Microsoft Power Point. Technique of data analysis in this research use two way Anova test with unequal cell. Based on the test results, the first hypothesis is indicated by the statistical price of 8,871, so that H0A is rejected with the conclusion that there is influence of Discovery Learning learning by geogebra toward the understanding of mathematical concept. For the second second hypothesis is shown with a statistical price of 5.23 , so H0B is rejected with the conclusion that there is an influence between learners who have cognitive style of FI and FD on the understanding of mathematical concepts. For the third hypothesis, it is shown by the statistical price of 1.05, so H0AB is accepted with no conclusion there is no interaction between the learning of Geogebra-assisted Discovery Learning with the cognitive style of learners towards the understanding of mathematical concepts.
