Abstract

Climate change is a global challenge that requires serious attention from various parties, including the government. The existence of surface temperature and various other parameters is certainly closely related to climate change. In this context, this study was conducted to identify the best model in predicting urban land surface temperature in the Jakarta area, as one of the steps to understand and deal with the impacts of climate change. The research data used comes from MERRA-2, NASA, which provides datasets for various climate analyses. A comparison of ARIMA, SVR, LSTM, and ANN methods was conducted to evaluate the performance of each model in forecasting land surface temperature. The results show that the Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) model provides the best performance with MAPE and values of 0.8381 and 0.8628. This model has an advantage over other models because it can remember various information that has been stored for a long period of time and can delete irrelevant information. This shows that LSTM is effective in capturing the pattern and variability of the Earth's surface temperature in the Jakarta area. Based on these findings, the government is expected to take concrete steps to address the impacts of climate change, especially issues related to increasing urban land temperature in Jakarta, such as reducing the use of private vehicles and switching to public transportation, expanding green open space, and relocating residents to reduce density.

Abstract

Jatibarang structure, situated in Jatibarang low, one of the prolific sub-basin in the northwest Java basin, belongs to PT. Pertamina EP working area. One hundred seventy wells have been drilled, from which there were 56 production wells. Forty production wells were sunk on a volcanic reservoir. Since 1970, volcanic Jatibarang has faced disputed facies concepts, porosities heterogeneity, and permeability system. A fractured reservoir model was proposed. It was due to unique high-performance hydrocarbon in the early years, steeply depleted in the next 3 years, and flat over 20 years. A unique petrophysical method was developed with various explosives and effusive facies. This study proposes a new facies determination concept related to unavailable default petrophysical plots usually used in the clastic-carbonate reservoir. The new concept of formation evaluation attempts to distinguish the fractured vitric tuff reservoir and non-reservoir zone, which is both effusive lava and explosive product. Reservoirs differed from common clastic-carbonate, typically high gamma-ray reservoirs due to potassium feldspar composition. The fracture existence is reflected by a sonic overrunning density log aligned with a deep resistivity pattern. The width of the fracture apertures was measured, and spacing intensities were calculated. Finally, fracture permeability was estimated comprehensively to describe reservoir performance. Property models built with only sonic and triple combo have been debatable; however, advanced logging of JTB-211 has proven this accuracy method.

Abstract

Background: Bone fracture is one of the most common injuries with a global prevalence in 2020 reaching 2.7% with 1.3 million fracture cases occurring annually in Indonesia. Postoperative pain is one of the impacts felt by patients. One pain management that can be done is non-pharmacological management by providing combination therapy between aromatherapy and guided imagery. However, this pain management needs to be studied further because differences in patient characteristics influence the response to each therapy given. Objective: To find out the application of combination therapy between aromatherapy and guided imagery in reducing pain levels. Case Report: This study is a case report with a 21-year-old male patient who came to the emergency department due to a traffic accident. The nursing diagnosis made in this patient was acute pain related to physical injury agents and the medical diagnosis was post-operative open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) cruris and right clavicle. The non-pharmacological management provided is in the form of aromatherapy using a diffuser containing 50 ml of water and 5 drops of lemon aroma essential oil, as well as guided imagery. Pain level evaluation was carried out before and after the intervention. Results: The application of lemon aromatherapy and guided imagery is effective in reducing post-operative pain, as evidenced by the pain scale being reduced from 8 to 3. Conclusion: The application of combination therapy between aromatherapy and guided imagery is effective in reducing pain levels in post-operative patients.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the concept of the Merdeka Curriculum and the philosophy of perennialism, particularly in the context of differentiated learning. The research uses a library research method, with data collection techniques involving literature studies from various relevant sources such as journals, articles, and books. The gathered data is analyzed using content analysis to explore the deep connection between these two concepts. The results indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum aligns with the philosophy of perennialism, which emphasizes the importance of education based on universal and fundamental knowledge. This curriculum prioritizes diverse intrcurricular learning, providing sufficient time for students to delve into concepts and strengthen their competencies. The philosophy of perennialism, which focuses on character development, morality, and true knowledge, also supports the implementation of differentiated learning, which accommodates various learning needs of students. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of these two concepts the Merdeka Curriculum and perennialism into a more inclusive learning context that is relevant to current educational challenges. The contribution of this study offers new insights for educators and policymakers in implementing a more effective Merdeka Curriculum, while also enriching the understanding of the importance of perennialist philosophy in creating learning that focuses on the comprehensive development of students' character and competencies.

Abstract

Background: The literature surrounding anticholinergic drug exposure and its association with dementia has expanded significantly, revealing critical insights into the risks these medications pose, particularly for older adults. The foundational work by (Campbell et al., 2009) established the prevalence of anticholinergic medication use in this vulnerable demographic and highlighted serious cognitive side effects, including attention deficits and hallucinations. This concern is underscored by physiological changes in older adults that increase their susceptibility to such drugs, suggesting that clinicians must carefully weigh the risks versus benefits when prescribing anticholinergic medications. Literature Review: The cumulative effects of anticholinergic drug exposure were examined in detail by (A. C. Coupland et al., 2019), who found a significant correlation between higher cumulative use and increased dementia risk. This study emphasizes the importance of evaluating long-term medication regimens in older patients, particularly those on multiple prescriptions that may include anticholinergic agents. The findings support the notion that while short-term use can lead to immediate cognitive deficits, the long-term implications are critical and warrant further investigation. Conclusion: In conclusion, the body of literature increasingly points towards a significant association between anticholinergic drug exposure and the risk of dementia, particularly in older adults. While certain medications may carry lesser risks, the cumulative exposure to anticholinergic agents appears to be a critical factor in cognitive decline. Ongoing research is essential to clarify these relationships and guide clinical decision-making, ensuring that the prescribing of anticholinergic medications is conducted with a thorough understanding of their potential long-term cognitive implications.

Abstract

Lessons from participative de facto and de jure approaches to socioeconomic registration for integrated policymaking have been underexplored, especially in archipelagic states and middle-income countries. This study aims to analyze participants' perceptions of statistical data and assess how socioeconomic circumstances shape the Regsosek (socioeconomic registration) process in Indonesia. Using a qualitative method, the research incorporates ethnographic techniques and triangulation, with enumeration carried out by locals familiar with the socio-cultural characteristics of the communities. The data were validated through multiple cross-checking stages. The Regsosek initiative seeks to create a unified national database to improve policymaking, a key aspect of Indonesia's socioeconomic development that has received limited attention in terms of participative methods. While prior studies have focused on the technical aspects of socioeconomic data collection, this research highlights the influence of socioeconomic diversity on the process. Novel insights reveal that participants’ perceptions of well-being vary based on socioeconomic backgrounds, geographic conditions, livelihood systems, gender, and exposure to previous development programs. Key challenges identified include community resistance and misconceptions linking data collection to social assistance, as well as the need for system integration and stability to establish a single national database. The study concludes that development and poverty alleviation programs must be mutually agreed upon to avoid disruptions, instability, and political influence, offering a fresh perspective on integrated policymaking in archipelagic and middle-income contexts.
