Abstract

The teacher realizes that learning requires students to be active in building their knowledge, and the teacher acts more as a facilitator and motivator. As a facilitator and motivator in learning activities, teachers are required to always improve their ability to prepare, implement and evaluate learning. The low ability of teachers to develop contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach, even not infrequently the teachers feel they have not understood it to be one of the obstacles faced by teachers in improving the quality of learning. This training activity aims to provide knowledge about contextual learning, scientific approaches and the development of teaching materials, and conduct discussions and mentoring the development of contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach to the teachers of SMPN 33 Solok Selatan. The activities carried out consisted of, (1) Providing knowledge about: (a). Contextual learning, (b) Scientific approach, (c) Development of teaching materials, (2) Guiding teachers for the manufacture of contextual teaching materials (LKPD / LKS) based on a scientific approach. The instrument used was a test of understanding of the material and questionnaire responses of trainees. The data analysis technique used is paired t test and percentage analysis. Based on the analysis of the results of the evaluation conducted it can be concluded, the training carried out has been able to improve the competence of teachers in developing contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach, the training material provided can increase teacher competencies in developing teaching materials

Abstract

Lumindai merupakan salah satu geosite dari Geopark Nasional Sawahlunto dengan potensi wisata alam seperti Hutan Batu, Gua Batu Kudo, Puncak Panjaringan, dan Air Terjun Batimpo yang dikelola oleh pemerintah daerah melalui POKDARWIS Talawi Hilie. Namun, karena kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap keunikan alam dan budaya mereka sendiri yang menjadi dasar dari suatu objek wisata serta keterbatasan dalam pengelolaan pariwisata, pemasaran dan sistem informasi, sehingga belum meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan turis dan memberikan dampak ekonomi yang signifikan bagi masyarakat Lumindai. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan pemerintahan Desa Lumindai dengan cara menggali dan mempelajari potensi wisata (Alami dan Kebudayaan) Desa Lumindai agar dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Penggalian potensi ini menggunakan teknik participatory action research (PAR) dan pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penggalian potensi diketahui bahwa didapatkan keunggulan alam, seni, budaya, dan kuliner. Dari segi potensi alam, Desa Lumindai memiliki objek wisata Hutan Batu, Gua Batu Kudo, Puncak Panjaringan, dan Air Terjun Batimpo. Sektor kesenian, Desa Lumindai memiliki berbagai jenis kesenian khas yang mencerminkan budaya setempat, seperti Silek Sitaralak, Barsanji, Randai, Salawat Dulang, Dabuih, Dikia Rabana, dan Tenun Songket. Sektor pertanian, desa ini memiliki potensi perkebunan tembakau berkualitas tinggi dan pohon aren penghasil nira yang menjadi bahan pembuatan gula aren. Sedangkan potensi kuliner Desa Lumindai menawarkan beragam makanan dan minuman. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Desa Lumindai memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai destinasi wisata, taman pendidikan (education park atau edupark) dan sumber ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in the world of education. Students are expected to be able to understand technology in learning. Based on observations conducted at SMAN 3 Solok, several problems were found in physics learning, including the limited availability of interactive digital teaching materials and low technological literacy and conceptual understanding of students. To address this, a needs analysis stage was conducted with a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Hannafin and Peck model. Data were obtained from teacher questionnaires in the form of teaching material use, student questionnaires to determine student characteristics, technological literacy performance assessment sheets in the form of questions according to technological literacy indicators, and learning outcome documents to see student conceptual understanding. The results of the analysis showed that the teaching materials used were not yet technology-based, students' technological literacy skills were low, and student scores were still below the minimum completeness criteria. Based on these data, it is necessary to develop interactive multimedia teaching materials that integrate conceptual understanding and technological literacy.

Abstract

The development of education in the 21st century demands teachers to innovate by integrating technology into the learning process and fostering students’ creative thinking skills. However, preliminary studies revealed that students’ creative thinking abilities remain low, and the existing teaching materials have not fully supported joyful and engaging learning. This study aims to determine the validity level of a digital learning material on the topic of heat, integrated with the Joyful Learning approach to enhance students’ creative thinking skills in senior high school. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Hannafin and Peck model, which consists of three stages: need assess, design, and develop/implement. The research instrument used was a validity questionnaire to assess the feasibility of the developed digital material. The results showed that the digital learning material achieved a validity score of 0.95, categorized as highly valid. Therefore, the developed digital material on heat integrated with Joyful Learning is considered valid and feasible for physics learning to foster students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a key competency required in 21st-century learning; however, field observations indicate that students’ critical thinking skills remain relatively low. This condition is closely related to the use of teaching materials that have not optimally implemented the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and have not integrated local cultural contexts. To address this gap, this study developed digital teaching materials on global warming integrated with Ethno-Problem Based Learning (Ethno-PBL). The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the developed Ethno-PBL-based digital teaching materials as a foundation for supporting the development of students’ critical thinking skills. This research employed a research and development approach, limited to the product validation stage conducted by expert validators. The validation process evaluated five aspects: material substance, learning design, visual communication, software utilization, and Ethno-PBL integration. The results showed that the developed digital teaching materials achieved a high level of validity, with an average validity score of 0.94. Specifically, the validity scores for material substance, learning design, visual communication, software utilization, and Ethno-PBL integration were 0.90, 0.95, 0.96, 0.97, and 0.94, respectively. These findings indicate that the Ethno-PBL-based digital teaching materials are valid, feasible, and beneficial for use in physics learning on global warming topics, and have the potential to facilitate more contextual, meaningful, and critical learning experiences for students.

Abstract

Keterampilan abad-21 khususnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan kompetensi penting yang perlu dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Hasil penelitian di SMAN 1 Lubuk Sikaping menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik masih tergolong rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 52, serta pemahaman materi energi terbarukan sebesar 36.5. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya inovasi bahan ajar yang konteksual dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-LKPD terintegrasi etnosains dan joyful learning pada materi energi terbarukan. Integrasi etnosains mengaitkan konsep fisika dengan budaya lokal sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna, sedangkan pendekatan joyful learning menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan menyenangkan. Pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis teknologi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep serta kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik sesuai tuntutan pembelajaran abad-21.

Abstract

Kemampuan abad ke-21 sangat penting dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Dalam dunia pendidikan, kemampuan utama abad ke-21 adalah berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi yang dikenal sebagai kemampuan 4C. Berdasarkan observasi awal, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, perlu untuk meminimalkan permasalahan yang terjadi. Bahan ajar digital yang terintegrasi dengan etnosains dan meaningful learning dapat menjadi solusi untuk meminimalkan permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menentukan hasil analisis kebutuhan, uji validitas dan uji praktikalitas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Penelitian menggunakan model Hannafin dan Peck. Terdapat 3 hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian. Pertama, analisis kebutuhan berpikir kritis dalam kategori rendah dengan skor 47. Kedua, uji validitas dengan skor 0,89 kategori sangat valid. Ketiga, uji kepraktisan dengan skor 87,65 kategori sangat praktis. Bahan ajar digital materi fluida statis terintegrasi etnosains dan meaningful learning sudah valid dan praktis serta memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of the development of digital teaching materials for measurement topics that integrate a joyful learning approach to facilitate students' knowledge and creative thinking skills. The applied method is Research and Development (R&D) based on the Hannafin and Peck model, which includes the analysis, design, and development stages. The validity of the teaching materials was assessed by three validators through aspects of material substance, learning design, visual communication, software utilization, integration of joyful learning, and knowledge and creative thinking skills. The results showed that the teaching materials were classified as very valid with an average score of 0.88. Specifically, the validity scores reached 0.84 for material substance, 0.93 for learning design, 0.90 for visual communication, 0.92 for software utilization, 0.89 for integration of joyful learning, and 0.82 for knowledge and creative thinking skills. These findings confirm the product's suitability to scientific standards, the Independent Curriculum, and 21st-century learning needs. The integration of digital technologies such as Canva, Liveworksheet, and Google Forms improves the quality of the teaching materials, resulting in a fun, interactive, and adaptive learning experience. Thus, this research contributes significantly to the development of innovative, valid, and effective physics learning media in strengthening students' knowledge and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Indonesia as an archipelago has a high level of vulnerability to flood disasters, which is worsening due to climate change, rapid urbanization, and weak mitigation systems. Ideally, an early warning system that is responsive, accurate, affordable and easy to implement in vulnerable areas is needed. While microcontrollers offer a potentially effective technological solution, most research is still limited to small prototypes without regard to long-term predictability or community participation. This study aims to evaluate the development, focus, and prospects of microcontroller-based flood warning system research using a quantitative bibliometric approach. A total of 200 articles from 2015-2025 were collected through Publish or Perish and analyzed using VOSviewer. The results showed, first, a significant increase in publications occurred in 2024, namely 29 articles. Second, word network visualization resulted in the mapping of 87 keywords in 7 clusters. Third, data overlay visualization resulted in a shift in focus to IoT integration, the latest microcontrollers, cloud-based monitoring. Fourth, data density analysis confirms the dominance of technical aspects, where keywords such as microcontroller, flood early warning system, and flood become the center of attention with the highest density level. The implications of these findings provide direction for the development of a more adaptive, inclusive, and applicable flood warning system in disaster mitigation.

Abstract

Experiment has a crucial role in physics, one of the fundamental science for research and technology. This research focuses on gravitation and utilizes methods of experimental design and execution. Measuring gravitation is a frequently studied topic and related to the oscillation pendulum's harmonic. In practice, pendulum oscillations are often still calculated manually without visualizing the pendulum's trajectory during oscillation. With modern learning tools development, harmonic oscillations' measurements can be calculated and analysed by using video tracking software, for example, by generating graphs. A static pendulum with a string in three lengths: 50 cm, 60 cm, and 70 cm is required. The swinging pendulum loaded with a 100-gram weight and filmed by a camera. The recordings were analysed using the tracker software. The results were displayed as a sinusoidal waveform plotted from the points along the pendulum's path during oscillation.
