Abstract

This study was conducted to understand the impact of social media on the mental health of early adults in Bekasi. Social media has become an inseparable part of individuals' daily lives, and its impact on mental health needs further investigation. This research employs a quantitative method with data collected through questionnaires completed by 62 early adult respondents in Bekasi. Data analysis was conducted using the Independent Sample T-Test and correlation tests. In this study, we found no significant relationship between mental health and gender, indicating that both men and women are equally vulnerable to the negative effects of social media on mental health. However, there was a significant relationship between age and frequency of social media use with mental health, where older respondents exhibited better mental health conditions. Conversely, higher frequency of social media use correlated with a decline in mental health quality. These findings also indicate that excessive social media use can have a negative impact on the mental health of early adults, possibly due to factors such as exposure to negative content, social comparison, and addiction. This study emphasizes the importance of balanced and responsible social media use to maintain the mental health of early adults.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of prosocial behavior on the psychological well-being of students. The research was conducted on 60 active students at University X. The measuring tool used in this research used a prosocial behavior scale which refers to aspects of prosocial behavior and psychological well-being. Data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis. Regression coefficients, significance values ​​will be evaluated to understand the extent to which prosocial behavior variables influence psychological well-being variables. The research analysis results show a p-value of >.001, which is smaller than the alpha value of 0,05, indicating a significant influence of prosocial behavior on psychological well-being. The R Square result indicates that the prosocial behavior variable influences the psychological well-being variable by 20,7%. And there is no significant difference between males and females in levels of prosocial behavior and psychological well-being.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Membangun Desa adalah salah satu rangkaian pendidikan dengan model memberikan pengalaman atau pemahaman belajar kepada mahasiswa untuk hidup di masyarakat di luar kampus, yang secara langsung bersama masyarakat mengidentifikasi kemampuan dan membenahi masalah hingga diharapkan mampu mengembangkan kemampuan desa/daerah dan menciptakan caran untuk menyelesaikan solusi dari masalah yang ada di desa. MBKM Membangun Desa yang kelompok kami lakukan bertepatan di Kelurahan Sumur Batu, Kecamatan Bantar Gebang, Kota Bekasi. Metode yang kami gunakan dalam pelaksanaan MBKM Membangun Desa adalah sosialisasi, psikoedukasi, penyuluhan, dan pengambilan sampel penelitian. Hasil dari kegiatan MBKM Membangun Desa kali ini adalah beberapa program seperti sosialisasi dengan tema meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan kondisi psikologis yang sehat, psikoedukasi mengenai anak yang tantrum, penyuluhan dengan tema kesadaran lingkungan, dan pengambilan sampel penelitian.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang terjadi pada Ibu Rumah Tangga. Studi psikologi tentang stres pada ibu rumah tangga mengeksplorasi dampak tekanan sehari-hari terhadap kesejahteraan mental. Faktor seperti peran ganda, dukungan sosial serta tuntutan pekerjaan rumah. Tak jarang, banyak diantara mereka yang merasakan jenuh dan mengeluhkan tugas rumah yang tidak kunjung usai yang pada akhirnya ibu rumah tangga mengalami stress sampai depresi. Hal tersebut berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan fisik dan mental sang Ibu juga dapat mempengaruhi hubungan Ibu pada suami serta anak-anaknya. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada para Ibu Rumah Tangga mengenai pentingnya mengelola stres pada diri sendiri. Sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah para Ibu Rumah Tangga di RW.11 Kelurahan Margahayu, Bekasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini yaitu terdapat beberapa Ibu Rumah Tangga mengalami stres ringan yang dialami di dalam rumah karena lelah mengurus pekerjaan rumah dan juga masalah yang ada di keluarga. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan tentang manajemen stress dan sharing pengalaman, para Ibu rumah tangga menjadi lebih paham dalam mengelola emosinya untuk meminimalisir terjadinya stres. Dan setelah dilakukan kegiatan bercocok tanam, para Ibu rumah tangga menjadi lebih senang karena bisa menanam bersama serta membawa pulang tanaman yang mereka sukai.

Abstract

Until now, the use of social media has facilitated its users to communicate in cyberspace. Instagram is one of the most popular social media for students. Photo-based social media can increase Social Comparison related to appearance and body which can increase physical dissatisfaction in students. Several factors influence Body Dissatisfaction, one of which is Social Comparison. This study aims to determine the effect of body dissatisfaction on social comparison in Esa Unggul University students. The method used in this research is quantitative and uses cluster sampling. This research instrument uses body dissatisfaction and social comparison scales. The results of the simple linear regression test show that the regression coefficient is 1.530 and the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.666 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.5) which shows the effective contribution of the two variables which is 15.30% and the rest is influenced by other variables or factors not examined in this study. The coefficient value shows a positive value, so it can be interpreted that body dissatisfaction positively affects social comparison. The suggestions for further research expand respondents, not focusing on other factors that have a greater influence on body dissatisfaction and social comparison.

Abstract

The time parents spend working causes a decrease in the quality of parenting and interaction and closeness between parents and children. This is a problem currently being faced by families, because busy work means parents' attention to their children is reduced, so parents have less time to educate their children, which results in reduced communication between parents and children. The abilities possessed by children can be obtained from the experiences of their parents, including the emotional regulation that parents have, of course it can influence the child's emotional regulation and parents can contribute to the development of children's emotional regulation by the way they care for them. This research aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and emotional regulation in students at SMA Negeri 1 Setu whose parents both work. This research used quantitative research methods involving 224 research subjects of students in grades 10, 11 and 12 at SMA Negeri 1 Setu. Based on the results of the correlation test, the calculated significant value for authoritarian was 0.197, authoritative was 0.015, neglectful was 0.000, and indulgent was 0.106 with a correlation coefficient of -0.057, authoritative -0.146*, neglectful -0.225**, and indulgent - 0.084. Because the rule used is if the value (ρ) > 0.05 means that there is no relationship between authoritarian and indulgent parenting styles and emotional regulation in students at SMA Negeri 1 Setu whose parents both work.

Abstract

Perkembangan fisik akan berkembang sangat cepat dan signifikan pada masa remaja dan hal ini sangat identik dengan masa pubertas. Tak heran jika pada fase ini remaja putri menjadi jauh lebih sensitif terhadap penampilan fisiknya karena terdapat banyak sekali perubahan pada dirinya. Dari ketidakpuasan inilah yang pada akhirnya mendorong remaja putri untuk terus menerus memperbaiki penampilan fisiknya. Timbulnya perasaan tersebut dikarenakan remaja putri menemukan bahwa dirinya tidak selaras dengan standar masyarakat hingga merasa tidak percaya diri.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap body dissatisfaction pada remaja putri di SMA X. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 238 siswi. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linier sederhana dan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap body dissatisfaction pada remaja putri di SMA X. Kepercayaan diri memberikan sumbangan pengaruh sebesar 17,7% terhadap body dissatisfaction. Lalu, hasil kategorisasi kepercayaan diri dan body dissatisfaction pada remaja putri di SMA X, mayoritas berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

As a social network user, when something is trending, someone definitely wants to follow and doesn't want to be left behind by existing trends, including students. The fear of missing out is an indication of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). There are several factors that influence the presence of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), one of which is self-regulation. This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulation on Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) at University of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya. The method used in this study is a quantitative method and uses a cluster sampling technique. The research instrument used the self-regulation scale and the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) scale. The results of a simple linear regression test show that the regression coefficient is 0.246 and the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.096 with a significance of 0.002 (p <0.5) which indicates the effective contribution of the two variables is 9.6% and the rest is influenced by variables or other factors not examined in this study. The coefficient value shows a positive value, so it can be interpreted that self-regulation has a positive effect on Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). As for suggestions for further research in order to be able to expand the respondent's research further and use other factors that affect Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) besides Self-Regulation, so that research on Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) can develop.

Abstract

Diera saat teknologi berkembang pesat, siswa dituntut untuk mengimbangi kemajuan teknologi dengan sekolah. Salah satu kelemahan siswa yang sering kali dijumpai adalah kurangnya keterampilan manajemen waktu. Kurangnya pemahaman mengenai manajemen waktu dapat menjadi suatu halangan bagi siswa untuk memanfaatkan waktunya secara efisien. Tiap siswa memiliki preferensi waktu belajar yang berbeda, dipengaruhi oleh kesibukan, alokasi waktu, kondisi lingkungan belajar, dan kesiapan pribadi. Apabila siswa tidak didukung oleh keterampilan manajemen waktu yang baik, maka siswa perlahan-lahan siswa akan kehilangan dorongan semnagat untuk belajar. Dalam hal ini selain manajemen waktu, motivasi belajar menjadi salah satu yang memiliki peranan krusial dalam penentu keberhasilan pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 157 siswa, meliputi kelas 10 A,B,C,D,E,dan F. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Probability Sampling dan menggunakan teknik sampling Random Sampling yaitu, Proportionate Stratified. Berdasarkan uji regresi linear Y = 10.620 + 0.700X, yang dapat diartikan bahwa setiap peningkatan 1% dari manajemen waktu akan mengakibatkan peningkatan motivasi belajar sebesar +0.700. Oleh karena itu koefisien bernilai positif, yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan dua arah antara variabel manajemen waktu dengan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Father involvement is an important role in children's lives, one of which is for the growth and development of emotional maturity. When father role involvement is limited, children may look to other adults, peers, or the media to serve as good role models in life. On the other hand, some students at school may face delayed adulthood due to factors such as a lack of father involvement in their lives. Factors such as these can affect their sense of responsibility and emotional maturity as they experience growing up and later socialize with society directly. Likewise, emotional maturity of adolescents can be stabilized if the role of a father figure can participate in the lives of adolescents. This study aims to determine the effect of father's involvement on emotional maturity in students at SMAN 1 Tambun Utara and uses 298 respondents as research objects consisting of 10th grade and 11th grade students. Based on the normality test obtained, namely 0.200, where p> 0.05 means the data is normally distributed, while for the linearity test, the result is 0.754 which can be said that it is known that the two variables have a positive relationship direction. As for the regression test, the significance value is 0.00 which is <0.05, it can be said that father's involvement has a significant influence on emotional maturity in students at SMAN 1 Tambun Utara.
