Abstract

One of the impacts of a disaster or tragedy is the presence of trauma after the event or a mental state that is shaken so that it is unable to survive with a healthy mentality. This research aims to help Muslim urban communities who are victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy through the provision of the Impact of stress management to increase resilience. In this study, the researcher used a quantitative approach with the quasi-experimental method of one group pretest post-test to test the effect of treatment before and after treatment. The participants were 19 (3 victims were directly affected, and 16 were indirectly affected). Data were collected through questionnaires before and after the administration of treatment, as well as long-term monitoring. The results showed a significant difference in participants’ resilience levels before and after being given the Impact of stress management. The effect size caused by these activities is relatively large when viewed from the average resilience ratio before and after activities. Likewise, the significance test that shows a significant impact is shown by a significance number of 0.000, which is < out of 0.05. This study concludes that the Impact of stress management is practical and has a significant effect on increasing the resilience of the participant.

Abstract

This purpose of this study is analyse the effect of incentive changes to the employee performance: effect of the rule changes of the award size for scientific publication authors, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and book publishers at one of the universities in Indonesia on the number of submissions for author awards. The research will apply quantitative analysis which will focus on  award size changing that applied at one of the universities in Indonesia. The paired sample t test analysis will be used to investigate the changes of the total submission before and after the changes of the award size. It the result of this study finds that there is no significant affect incentive changes and employee performance (total of submissions after increasing award of authors) Therefore, this study shows that the nominal changes are not a significant factor to make lecturers motivated to write. It can be said that the effectiveness of the remuneration system is also influenced by good design and implementation. As an originality, this research is the only research that discusses remuneration in the university environment by focusing on the performance of lecturers in conducting research and scientific work.

Abstract

A good strength level of the ground surface is the main concern in an area with rapid housing infrastructure development, such as Baitussalam district-Aceh Besar, Indonesia. A seismic refraction method was applied with three similar profile lines using PASI 16S 24P equipment and 10 Hz vertical geophones to identify the sub-surface layer. The result was processed using Winsism software and Surfer 8. The results of seismic refraction were deduced and correlated with conventional geotechnical investigation obtained by a previous study. The results of 3 survey lines show that the area has two main layers. The first layer was interpreted as overburden (soil and clayey sand) with a compressional wave velocity (Vp) value of fewer than 1.8 km/s. The second layer produces a high velocity of more than 2 km/s. This second layer is interpreted as highly to moderately weathered rock. The results of seismic refraction surveys of the present study suggest a reasonably good correlation with the standard penetration test (SPT) and rock quality designation (RQD) obtained in the previous investigation. The strength level of the second layer showed N-SPT of 65 and RQD of at least 50%.

Abstract

Groundwater is water that sourced from rainwater, river water and others which seeps into the ground and accumulates in a layer called an aquifer. Estimation of the distribution and identification of aquifer geometry is carried out to assist the people of Cot Madhi Village in an effort to design the depth of drilling to obtain water that will be used for their basic and supporting needs. In this measurement, the 1D resistivity geoelectric method is used to determine the resistivity value changes of the rock layer which serves to identify the type of aquifer and the depth of the aquifer for efficient drilling of well activities. The measurement uses Supersting instruments with Wenner-Schlumberger cable configuration. The results showed subsurface resistivity values in the measurement area between 3.4 - 112.1 m. The penetration depth in this measurement is up to 165 meters deep. The resistivity model profile indicates a very economical water layer (aquifer) with a resistivity of 27.3 m located at a depth of 54-84 meters with a thickness of 30 meters. This research found a potential aquifer layer as a source of clean water.
