Abstract

This study aims to analyze demographic and social factors that influence Subjective Wellbeing (SWB) of PAUD teachers in the archipelago. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, the research sample is 223 teachers. The sampling technique uses convenience sampling. The instrument used is the Teacher Subjective Wellbeing Questionnaire (TSWQ). The results showed that all demographic variables, namely age, gender, education level, and teaching experience, have a positive and significant relationship to SWB, with education level being the strongest predictor among demographic factors (r = 0.352**). Meanwhile, in social factors, the principal's leadership showed the highest correlation (r = 0.441**) to SWB, followed by co-worker support, community involvement, and relationships with students' parents. These findings indicate that teacher SWB is not only influenced by individual characteristics, but also by the quality of social interactions in the work environment and community. This study recommends the importance of strategies to improve teacher SWB through strengthening professional capacity and a supportive work environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between peer attachment and academic self-confidence among students in Islamic junior high schools (Madrasah Tsanawiyah). Employing a quantitative correlational approach, the study involved 77 early adolescent students selected randomly. Data were collected using two standardized instruments: the Peer Attachment Inventory (α= 0.95) and the Academic Self-Confidence Scale (α= 0.93). Before hypothesis testing, the normality assumption was verified using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and linearity was assessed through the Test of Linearity in ANOVA, with both test met the significance criterion (p>0.05). The Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis revealed a strong and statistically significant positive relationship between peer attachment and academic self-confidence (r=0.798, p<0.001). The results underscore the crucial roles of emotional closeness, trust, and communication among peers in shaping students’ academic resilience. Future studies are recommended to adopt experimental or longitudinal designs to examine the causal pathways and effectiveness of peer-based interventions in enhancing student well-being and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between strategic management, teacher participation, and school performance in public elementary schools, focusing on how leadership practices influence institutional outcomes. The research addresses a growing need to understand how strategic decision-making processes can be effectively aligned with grassroots teacher involvement to enhance educational quality and accountability. This study employs a quantitative correlational design using a validated and reliable 5-point Likert scale questionnaire administered to randomly selected public elementary school teachers. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the hypothesized relationships among the three key variables. The results show that strategic management has a strong positive influence on teacher participation, with a contribution of 81.1%, and significantly impacts school performance with a contribution of 68.5%. However, the rejection of the third and fourth hypotheses which posited that teacher participation would mediate the relationship between strategic management and school performance suggests that teacher involvement in strategic planning is still peripheral rather than integral. External factors such as educational policy limitations, resource disparities, and administrative rigidity are identified as contributing barriers. This study introduces a novel model that maps the strategic alignment between management practices and teacher engagement, offering a deeper understanding of why participatory leadership may fail to translate into improved outcomes. It recommends a collaborative strategic management framework that genuinely embeds teacher input to optimize school performance and create sustainable educational change.

Abstract

Academic burnout among FKIP UHAMKA students will be analyzed based on gender. A descriptive approach is utilized in the quantitative research methodology. A sample of 307 students was chosen from the 6,544 total pupils who participated in the research. According to the study's findings, academic burnout can be classified according to a person's gender. The researchers discovered that male students fell into the low category, scoring 75% in sub-variable exhaustions, 61% in cynicism, and 50% in inefficacy. Additionally, the majority of female students fall into the low category, with percentage values in the subvariables for weariness (76%), cynicism (63%), and inefficacy (64%) all falling into the low range. Thus, it can be said that both male and female students at FKIP UHAMKA have low levels of academic burnout.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic), employee green behavior, religiosity, and employee green attitude among Muslim employees in the higher education sector in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey design and purposive sampling technique. Respondents consisted of 81 Muslim millennial and Gen Z employees working in higher education institutions. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale covering five main constructs: intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, green behavior, religiosity, and green attitude. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique through SmartPLS software. The results showed that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation had a significant influence on religiosity, and religiosity acted as a significant mediator in shaping employee green attitudes. Conversely, green behavior did not have a direct effect on religiosity or green attitudes. The R² values of 0.922 for religiosity and 0.940 for green attitudes indicate a very strong predictive ability of the model. These findings confirm that religious values play a central role in linking motivation to sustainability attitudes in the workplace.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of student understanding of the personality and social competence of teachers. Personality competence is part of teacher competence that must be known by prospective teacher students. This study uses quantitative research methods with a sample of 173 PGSD students in the fourth semester. Based on the results of the study, it was found that 20% of the students did not understand the competence of teachers, especially the personality competencies that prospective teachers must possess to become teachers in the future. Personal competence is a competency that must be possessed by every teacher. Personality competencies do not just appear, but must be instilled since the teacher is still a teacher candidate at a teacher training college.
