Abstract

This research is motivated by the stress that become a complex problem for students in daily life. Self efficacy, achievement motivation, and academic procrastination expect to affect students academic stress. The research purpose was to describe: (1) self efficacy, (2) achievement motivation, (3) academic procrastination, (4) student academic stress, (5) correlation of self efficacy with students academic stress, (6) correlation of achievement motivation with students academic stress, (7) correlation of academic procrastination with students academic stress, and (8) correlation of self efficacy, achievement motivation and academic procrastination with students academic stress.This study used quantitative approach with correlation descriptive method and the population were students of Guidance and Counseling Program of Education Faculty State University of Padang. The sampling technique was proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument was a scale model of Likert. The instrument reliability of self efficacy was 0,930, achievement motivation was 0,906, academic procrastination was 0,868, and students academic stress was 0,932. The instrument validity of self efficacy 0,554, achievement motivation was 0,469, academic procrastination was 0,453, and students academic stress was 0,568. Data were analyzed by using simple linier regression and multiple regression.The result indicates that: (1) self efficacy and achievement motivation of students are at the high category, (2) academic procrastination and students academic stress are in the moderate category, (3) there are negative correlation and significant between self efficacy with students academic stress, (4) there are negative and significant correlation between achievement motivation and students academic stress, (5) there are positive and significant correlation between academic procrastination with students academic stress, (6) there are significant correlation between self efficacy, achievement motivation and academic procrastination with students academic stress together, and (7) the implication are inputs from the various parties involved in to increase self efficacy and achievement motivation of students and reduce or prevent procrastination and academic stress..Keywords: Self Efficacy, Achievement Motivation, Procrastination Academic, Academic Stress

Abstract

Kemampuan individu dalam menghadapi kesulitan dalam hidupnya disebut Adversity Quotient. Untuk mengetahui Adversity Quotient Pemulung Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu (TPST) Bantargebang. Peneliti menggunakan metode fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Peneliti mengambil 6 informan. Control yang dimiliki pemulung, mampu menerima dan menjalankan kehidupan dengan ikhlas, menyelesaikan masalah dengan mengutamakan komunikasi dan mampu berkomitmen. Origin dan Ownership, mampu menerima dan tidak menyalahkan dirinya, selalu bersyukur dengan apa yang dimiliki, tidak mudah mengeluh. Reach, dapat membatasi segala kesulitan yang terjadi agar tidak menjangkau kepada aspek kehidupan yang lainnya. Edurance, bahwa pemulung memandang segala kendala dalam permasalahan yang terjadi hanya bersifat sementara dan akan segera berlalu. Menurutnya semua permasalahan yang terjadi tidak menjadikan penghalang melainkan menjadikannya penyemangat. Motivasi yang dimiliki pemulung berasal dari dalam diri, keluarga, anak dan istri. Ketekunan dan ketangguhan mental menjadikannya tetap bertahan hidup. Pemulung memiliki karakteristik Climbers, Pemaknaan hidup yang sesungguhnya pemulung mengetahui perasaan bahagia yang sebenarnya menjadikannya anugerah. Resiko kematian akibat tertimbun gundukan sampah serta penghasilan minim menutup mata pemulung akan bahaya pekerjaannya. Motivasi, ketekunan dan ketangguhan mental yang pemulung miliki menjadikannya tetap bertahan. Pemulung sangat menikmati profesinya. Dibuktikan dengan jangka waktu 20 tahun lebih menjadikan pemulung sebagai profesi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan bentuk hubungan attachment orang tua dengan kemandirian belajar siswa pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah kuantitatif dengan model deskriptif korelasional dengan jumlah populasi 735 siswa. Pengambilan sampel untuk penelitian ini memakai teknik stratified random sampling dan didapatkan sampel berjumlah 222 responden. Pengujian validitas menggunakan pearson product moment, reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach yang mendapatkan hasil 0.732 dan 0.788 yang dinyatakan reliable. Hasil analisis data menggunakan Teknik pearson product moment menunjukkan korelasi sebesar 0.368 dan taraf signifikan sebesar 0.000. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara attachment orangtua dengan kemandirian belajar. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi attachment orangtua maka akan semakin tinggi pula kemandirian belajar siswa

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of student understanding of the personality and social competence of teachers. Personality competence is part of teacher competence that must be known by prospective teacher students. This study uses quantitative research methods with a sample of 173 PGSD students in the fourth semester. Based on the results of the study, it was found that 20% of the students did not understand the competence of teachers, especially the personality competencies that prospective teachers must possess to become teachers in the future. Personal competence is a competency that must be possessed by every teacher. Personality competencies do not just appear, but must be instilled since the teacher is still a teacher candidate at a teacher training college.

Abstract

Stress has become one of the issues that draw considerable attention. While it does not cause health problems, it may affect individuals’ physical and psychological health.   This study attempted to see university students’ academic stress level differences in terms of gender. This descriptive comparative study involved 466 university students (346 female students, 120 male students) recruited as respondents using convenience sampling. An academic stress scale comprising three indicators, i.e., physical, emotional, and behavioral responses, was used to collect data. The data were analyzed using t-test, combined with RASCH stacking model. The result indicated that university students’ academic stress did not significantly differ in gender. This result could be used as a reference for developing a guidance and counseling service to handle university students’ academic stress, which could be preventive, development, and curative.

Abstract

Academic resilience is the ability of students to manage negative experiences that suppress the student's learning process by maximizing their potential to become resilient students and have good academic performance with all obstacles and social problems. The purpose of this study was to obtain the results of academic resilience of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo students during the Limited Face-to-Face Learning Period (PTM-T). This article measures the resilience level of students with the dimensions of resilience. The research instrument was adapted from the Indonesian Version of the Adaptation Factor Analysis of Academic Resilience Instruments: Exploratory and Confirmatory Approaches using quantitative methods. The sample used was 304 students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that the average level of resilience of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo students was 103.31 which could be interpreted in the high category. A total of 15 students with a percentage of 4.9% in the medium category and as many as 289 students with a percentage of 95.1% in the high category. This shows that with Limited Face-to-face Learning, students are still able to rise from academic difficulties that can hinder their learning process first during the current Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTM-T) period. Based on gender, there was no significant difference in academic resilience because the significant value was 0,616 > 0,05. This shows that with Limited Face-to-Face Learning, students are still able to rise from academic difficulties that can hinder their learning process, especially during the current Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTM-T) period and there is no difference in academic resilience between boys and girls.

Abstract

Nomophobia is a modern phobia that occurs mostly in adolescents due to addiction to the use of a smartphone. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the level of nomophobia among adolescents based on gender. This is a quantitative research with a comparative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from 400 adolescents selected using the convenience sampling technique. Furthermore, the instrument used was the Indonesian version of the Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q) consisting of 20 valid items with alfa Cronbach of 0,93 developed and adapted by Rangka et al. (2018). While hypothesis testing was carried out using the Independent Sample t-Test formula. The results showed a significant difference between nomophobia in boys and girls, with a t-value of -5.531 at a significance level (p) of 0.000. This means that in east Jakarta, the girls have higher nomophobia than men due to their significant inability to community effectively and efficiently while using their smartphones.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to test the validity of the California Brief Multicultural Competency Scale (CBMCS) on teacher guidance and counseling in Indonesia. CBMCS is a self-report instrument that measures multicultural competence, including: cultural knowledge, cultural awareness and non-ethnic knowledge. Validation was carried out with a sample of 316 guidance and counseling teachers spread throughout Indonesia. The results showed that CBMCS had a reliability index with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.896 and validity with factor analysis showed KMO and Bartlett's Test 0.883 with a significance of 0.000 and an anti-image correlation value 0.5. Formed 3 factors that can explain 59.435% of the variability. The factor loading of each item is greater than 0.5. The results of this study indicate that CBMCS can be used as a valid and reliable instrument for measuring multicultural competence in Indonesian teacher guidance and counseling. Keywords: factor analysis, CBMCS, cronbach's alpha, multicultural competence, guidance and counseling AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan uji validitas terhadap California Brief Multicultural Competency Scale (CBMCS) pada guru bimbingan dan konseling di Indonesia. CBMCS adalah instrumen laporan diri yang mengukur kompetensi multikultural, meliputi: pengetahuan budaya, kesadaran budaya dan pengetahuan non-etnis. Validasi dilakukan dengan jumlah sampel 316 orang guru bimbingan dan konseling yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CBMCS memiliki indeks reliabilitas dengan Cronbach's Alpha adalah 0,896 dan validitas dengan analisis faktor menunjukan KMO and Bartlett's Test 0,883 dengan signifikansi 0,000 dan nilai anti image korelasi 0,5. Terbentuk 3 faktor yang dapat menjelaskan 59,435% dari variabilitas. Muatan faktor (factor loading) dari setiap item lebih besar dari 0,5. Abstract

Konselor merupakan profesi yang menuntut keterampilan khusus dalam pelaksanaan layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling. Berbagai pendekatan dapat di gunakan untuk mencapai profesionalitas dalam Bimbingan dan konseling baik itu pendekatan psikologi Barat psikoanalis, behavioristik, humanistik yang telah terkenal di seluruh pelosok dunia maupun pendekatan yang memiliki kekhasan tersendiri. Seorang konselor harus memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan serta keterampilan dalam menangani berbagai permasalahan yang kompleks pda diri klien dalam pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Abstract

Academic burnout among FKIP UHAMKA students will be analyzed based on gender. A descriptive approach is utilized in the quantitative research methodology. A sample of 307 students was chosen from the 6,544 total pupils who participated in the research. According to the study's findings, academic burnout can be classified according to a person's gender. The researchers discovered that male students fell into the low category, scoring 75% in sub-variable exhaustions, 61% in cynicism, and 50% in inefficacy. Additionally, the majority of female students fall into the low category, with percentage values in the subvariables for weariness (76%), cynicism (63%), and inefficacy (64%) all falling into the low range. Thus, it can be said that both male and female students at FKIP UHAMKA have low levels of academic burnout.
