Abstract

Performance is a work acheived by an employee in accordance with the standards and criteria that have been determined within a certain time. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the performance of room attendant in Comfort Hotel Dumai and find out what factors that dominate the performance of room attendant in Comfort Hotel Dumai. As the factors discussed in this case are individual factors, Psychological factors, and organizational factors. This research was conducted in June until July 2017 and located in Comfort Hotel Dumai. Design this research using quantitative method with descriptive approach. The sample used is 8 respondents and the data obtained through the questionnaire by using likert scale as measuring tool to determine the lenght of the interval. based on the results of the research that has been done, that the above three factors do affect the performance of room attendant in comfort hotel dumai, namely individual factors, psychological factors and organizational factors. And the most dominant factors in influencing the performance of room attendant in Comfort Hotel Dumai is psychological factors.Keywords: human resource, performance, room attendant, hotel.

Abstract

Residual of food material can be defined as the percentage of remaining unutilizedmaterial in food processing which could be assumed as food waste that could beset as a perimeter for effectiveness of a menu.This research is aimed to determinekind of innovations which could be performed by kitchen line management of FaveHotel,Pekan Baru regarding food residual handling management. The topic to bediscussed in this research covering residual food planning management, processesof creativity and the end products of innovations. The research took place at FaveHotel Pekan Baru on March till April 2018. This research use descriptivemethodology with qualitative approach. All data is collected through observations,interviews and documentations. Through this research, the writer draw aconclusion that residual food, instead of to be disposed, could be reutiliized by theway of creating it to become e new useful products and would play an effective rolein food cost management of Fave Hotel, Pekanbaru.Keywords: Residual of food material and chef creativity

Abstract

One product that is in a travel agency is a tour package. In a tour that is carried out, consumers certainly expect the tour package that has been promised according to the what is in the field. This study aims to determine consumers response to tour package at CV. Bilava Tour Riau Pekanbaru. To find out the consumers response to tour package can be measured through 5 components, which are :Tourist Attractions, Events, Transportation, Accommodation, and Meals&Drinks. The research will be measured and known by quantitative methods. This study took 100 people as the samples or respondents by using the Slovin adequacy formula. The technique of data collection in this study uses observasion, questionnaires and documentation. This study uses  the theory of Etta Mamang Sanadji & Sopiah,2010, named the Likert Scale to measure the interval in the quantitative data. Based on the results, the study indicates that consumer responses to the implementation of tour package at CV. Bilava Tour Riau Pekanbaru is in the Very Good category, and it scores 6.413. keywords : Consumer Response, Tour Package, Travel Agent

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Tourist Response to the natural tourist attraction of the Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park in Siak Regency. This research uses descriptive quantitative research method. There are 70 samples taken and determined by the researchers themselves based on Masri Singarimbun's Theory. Data collection techniques in this study used Observation, questionnaires and documentation. Likert scale is used to measure intervals in quantitative data. This research uses Marpaung's Theory. The results of the study showed that the Tourist Response to the Natural Tourist Attraction of Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park in Siak Regency was very good.  Keywords: Tourist Responses, Nature Attractions

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of reception services at Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. This research uses quantitative methods to examine the problems raised. The samples in this study were 50 people using accidental sampling technique. While the data collection techniques in this research used the method of distributing questionnaires, observation, and interviews. The measurement technique used in this research questionnaire is a Likert scale, then the data will be processed using quantitative methods whose data is numerically oriented to results in the form of definite and clear conclusions. Based on the results of the research that has been done, there are five dimensions that will be examined in the quality of service at the reception of Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru including the first direct evidence such as complete facilities at the Grand Elit Hotel, free facilities provided by the Grand Elite Hotel in the form of breakfast, internet connection and SPA. The second aspect is empathy such as employee friendliness, providing clear information to guests, and employee care for guests. Next, reliability is like the employee who is on time to pick up and deliver guests, employees who are able to fulfill the wishes of guests, and the alertness of employees. Then responsiveness such as employees who are active in serving guests, employees provide responsive services, and employees understand the wishes of guests. And the last one is guarantees like, honesty of employees who create trust for guests, politeness of employees in serving guests, and the ability of employees to provide services. For the whole of the calculation results prove that the quality of reception services at Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru is good.  Keywords: Receptionist, Service Quality, Reception, Grand Elite Hotel

Abstract

The Ikhwan Equestrian Training Center is the only riding training ground that provides horseriding tours in Pekanbaru City. Equestrian tour has a unique charm that visitors can see horsesas well as enjoy a fun experience while riding a horse, it becomes interesting for visitors whocome. To measure what the attraction of horse riding in this training center has met thestandard of attraction at a tourist destination, and this is measured from 4 components:attractions, accessibility, amenitas and support services. This research will be measured andknown by quantitative methods with observation data collection techniques, questionnairesand documentation. Samples or respondents taken as many as 30 respondents throughaccidental sampling technique. Based on the research that has been done, shows that thecharacteristics of visitors are mostly male, the characteristics of age at 10- 20 years, most ofthe students or students and derived from lolal visitors. results of processed data performedscores of tourist attraction in the medium category with a range of 700 - 1099 scores.Keywords: Attractiveness, Horse-riding Tour

Abstract

Marketing communication is an activity that helps guests in making decisions and of course there is a process of influencing the choice of prospective buyers. Therefore travel agents must have marketers who are capable of communicating with guests, so guests will be influenced to buy packages from companies, especially sales marketing. This study aims to determine guest responses about the application  marketing communication of sales marketing divisions at PT. Sela Express Tour Pekanbaru. To find out the response of guests about marketing communication as measured by 5 components, that : for the audience, consider time and cost, more than one purpose, well-organized, pay attention to the tone and influence on the audience. research will be known and measured by quantitative descriptive methods. This study sampled 80 respondents taken using the theory from Singarimbun. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaires, documentation and interviews. To measure the data interval in this study using a Likert scale. Based on the results of the study showed that guest responses to the application of marketing communication sales marketing division at PT. Abstract

The tour can not be separated from the existence of a tour leader, so the tour leader is required to be able to assist tour operators in handling guests while on the trip. Which later can serve the wishes or needs of these guests. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the perceptions of tourists towards tour leaders in Cv Bilava Tour Riau Pekanbaru. This study uses quantitative descriptive methods to examine the issues raised. The sample in this study was 100 respondents, taken using Simple Random Sampling. While the data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. By using a Likert scale as a measuring tool to determine the length of short intervals. From the results of research conducted, it appears that the leader of the trip at Cv Bilava Tour Riau Pekanbaru is very satisfying.  Keywords: tourist perception, tour leader.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extrabed service procedures and to find out the quality of extra bed service in the batiqa hotels Pekanbaru which consists of four elements of service namely speed, accuracy, friendliness, skill. Extra Bed is an extra bed placed in the guest room. This study uses descriptive quantitative research methods. And the population of this study is all guests who order extra beds in Batiqa Pekanbaru Hotels. According to Masri Singarimbun (1987: 152) the researcher himself is the one who determines the sample considering energy, cost, time so the sample can be taken at a minimum. then the author decided to take 50 users and those who have used extra beds at Batiqa Pekanbaru Hotels. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative analysis, where data that has been obtained through questionnaires and observations in the field, all information collected, studied so that it becomes a unified whole .. Based on the research that has been done, the results of processing data show guest responses to the extra bed service at Batiqa Hotel Pekanbaru is good. Keywords: Service Quality, Extra Bed

Abstract

Hot spring water bathing is one of the attraction in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This Study aims to determine the potential and inhibiting factors of the potential development of hot spring bathing attraction in the Sungai Pinang, Hulu Kuantan District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. The sample in this study were 98 respondents, determining respondents with incidental sampling. Data collection techniquest used are observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation using the Likert scale as a measuring instrument. Based on the results of research, the potential development of hot water bathing attraction in Sungai Pinang, Hulu Kuantan Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency with sub-variabels of tourist attraction and attraction, tourism infrastructure, tourism facilities, infrastructure management and community and environment with a good research conclusionkeywords : Potential, Development, Attraction
