Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The research in this article aims to review the available literature on integrating ethnoastronomy-based NASE on the understanding and trust of teachers, students, and society. The method used in this study is a literature review from 2010-2022, which strictly discusses the challenges in learning astronomy and astronomy in local wisdom with two questions that need to be answered, namely (1) what kind of challenges are faced when conducting astronomy learning and does NASE influence astronomy learning? (2) Does local wisdom relate to astronomical learning, and how does the community's understanding and beliefs relate to Ethnoastronomy? The results of the literature review stated that NASE has a positive influence on the challenges of learning astronomy, NASE has a relationship with local wisdom that discusses astronomy, and this research also shows that the relationship between local wisdom and astronomy with NASE can increase people's understanding and trust in Ethnoastronomy from each culture they have. This article recommends that astronomy-based NASE integrated learning with local wisdom can be applied in various countries, especially astronomy learning in Indonesia, so that the culture owned is preserved due to the times and can be used for learning.

Abstract

Academic pressure, social demands, and the adjustment process during the transition from high school to college can cause stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue for new students. This research aims to determine the effect of music as a relaxation medium for students. The research used a questionnaire that was asked of 30 respondents. The results show that music can reduce stress levels because it improves students' mood and calms them. Students choose Pop, Instrumental and Jazz music genres to reduce stress because the melody, rhythm and tempo match with the mood students feel when they are stressed. Apart from that, in pop music, the lyrics have meaning and are related to the mood that is being experienced by the students.

Abstract

This research addresses the need for a water rescue device capable of autonomously moving towards a survival position while being remotely controlled. The main problem investigated is how to design an electric safety buoy that can move stably in currents and waves while being operated remotely using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Data were collected through prototype testing under various load and control range conditions. The research method involves designing and implementing a control system based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller, with a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) algorithm to maintain buoy stability, and an RF communication module for remote control up to 500 meters. The test results show that the buoy can achieve an average speed of 1.35 m/s at 100% throttle with an 80 kg load and maintain stability in various water conditions. The standard deviation of speed indicates minimal variation between tests, demonstrating good movement stability. This research contributes to the development of IoT-based safety devices, enhancing the effectiveness of water rescue operations. With the use of a PID algorithm, the buoy can automatically adjust direction and speed, making it more responsive to remote control commands and able to withstand dynamic water conditions.

Abstract

One of the learning media by utilizing device technology is realized in the form of an audio-visual physics-based physics mobile learning application called Optically. In the mobile learning application, there are various kinds of content, such as illustrated images, educational videos, sample questions, and practice questions. The research conducted has the aim of (1) producing products in the form of audio-visual physics mobile learning applications on the subject of Diffraction as a learning medium; (2) knowing the feasibility of audio-visual physics-based physics mobile learning applications as a supporting medium for students in understanding the concept of physical optics material. The research and development method uses the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this study is limited only to the development stage (Design). The product feasibility tester in this study was carried out by 17 people who had studied Physical Optics Physics and were studying in the field of Physics. The results of the analysis of the feasibility test of the product carried out, obtained on average on all indicators belonging to the very feasible category.

Abstract

This study aims to find out more about the influence of motivation from people closest to them on the formation of physics identity, especially for local students (living in D.I. Yogyakarta) and non-local (from outside D.I. Yogyakarta), on the results of analytical mechanics courses. This qualitative descriptive study uses a descriptive-analytical approach based on the results of interviews with 8 sample respondents representing local students (living in D.I. Yogyakarta) and non-local (coming from outside D.I. Yogyakarta) in the Physics Education Department, Yogyakarta State University. All respondents have been able to describe their physics identity, accompanied by strong motivation from people closest to them, including themselves, without any differences between local and non-local students regarding the final results of analytical mechanics. After knowing the results of this study, it is hoped that students can further develop their physics identity so that it has an impact on the final grades of the courses they take.
