Abstract

The majority of residents in Suling Wetan Village work as farmers and rely heavily on self-produced seeds due to the village’s remote location. One high-potential crop for marginal lands in the area is patchouli (Pogostemon cablin), a plant valued for its essential oil. However, the propagation of patchouli remains a significant challenge for local farmers due to limited knowledge and skills. This community engagement program aimed to enhance farmers’ capacities in patchouli propagation through a combination of awareness campaigns, technical workshops, hands-on training, direct field mentoring, and participatory monitoring and evaluation. Evaluation was conducted through direct observation and participant surveys. The results showed that 96% of participants gained a clear understanding of patchouli propagation techniques, and all participants acknowledged the importance of the program and expressed hope for its continuation. The activity successfully contributed to increasing farmers’ independence in sustainable patchouli seedling production.

Abstract

Popular fiqh literature addresses practical aspects of life. A considerable portion of this literature portrays women within a conservative framework. This research aims to investigate the tendency of spousal relationships as depicted in those popular fiqh literature. Subsequent to cataloging, a random selection of literary samples underwent qualitative content analysis. The findings revealed that popular fiqh literature on the household, especially on marital relations, is dominated by gender biased discourse by placing women only in the domestic realm where their position is inferior. This dominance stems from the authors’ references projecting back to the provisions of classical fiqh, which are gender biased and lack authoritative interpretation of the texts. The presence of this literature is also due to the market demands of the publishing industry. Furthermore, societal understanding dominated by patriarchal ideology contributes significantly to the prevalence of gender-biased popular fiqh literature.[Abstrak: Literatur fiqh populer mengatasi aspek praktis kehidupan.

Abstract

Stevia plant, as an alternative to sugarcane, is a plant that is susceptible to drought. The growth and yield of the stevia plant is highly dependent on the availability of sufficient water and nutrients. To get optimal crop yields is necessary to pay attention to the water needs of the stevia-growing media. The right intensity of watering and using organic fertilizers are efforts that can be done to prevent drought. This study aimed to determine the effect of vermicompost and water application intervals on the growth and yield of stevia plants. A divided plot design was used in this study with 12 treatment combinations with three replications. The basic pattern of completely randomized design (CRD) consists of 2 factors with three replications. The main plot is the interval of giving water (I), namely I1 = 1 day, once, I2 = once every 2 days, I3 = once every 3 days and Subplots, namely the dose of vermicompost, consist of 4 levels, namely V0 = 0 tons/ha, V1 = 5 tons /ha, V2 = 10 tons/ha, V3 = 15 tons/ha. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The significant difference between treatments is determined using Duncan's Multiple Distance Test at 5%. The best watering interval is the interval of giving once every three days and vermicompost 5 tons/ha.

Abstract

The power conversion from direct current voltage (dc) to alternating current voltage (ac) is called an inverters generally produces a voltage or current waveform that has not approached the sinusoid or in other words, the wave still has ripple or distortion waveform with hight Total Harmonic Distortion (THD )value. One of the factors that influence the resulting inverter waveform is the inverter switchs triggering system. The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) pulse generation method is a proposed way to solve this problem. To produce a three-phase voltage system, it takes 3 identical power converter circuits but has a different ignition system of 1200 phases for each inverter circuit. The simulation results show that the inverter with an input voltage of 24 V produces three voltage waves of 230/340 V with a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) content value of 3.565%.
