Abstract

This research aims to discuss and determine the important role of family businesses in the Indonesian economy, with a focus on the characteristics, economic contribution and challenges faced by family businesses. There are unique characteristics of family businesses, such as the participation of family members, emotional strength, and complex problems faced. In addition, there is an emphasis on the importance of succession in the continuity of family businesses. A structured succession process is considered vital to ensure the continuity and improvement of family business performance. Other factors highlighted involve the performance of family firms, the influence of non-family leadership, and relationships between family members and the impact of education on the succession process. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with literature studies, and the results show that succession planning has a significant positive impact on the success of family business succession. In addition, the involvement of family company founders, positive relationships from the family, and the influence of education on successor intentions are also important parts of the research conclusions.

Abstract

Children's behavior is influenced by many factors, including parenting patterns and peer groups. One of the patterns of behavior in children that are often encountered in their association with peers is aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of parenting patterns against aggressive behavior in children. Research using in-depth interview method. Before conducting interviews with participants, researchers conducted a screening to determine participants by giving two questionnaires, namely: The Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) to determine the type of parenting patterns and The Aggression Scale: A-Self Report Measure of Aggressive Behavior for Young Adolescents to determine the level of aggressiveness in children. After screening, the researchers selected 3 parents with representatives of each type of parenting pattern to be used as participants in the study. Based on the results of the analysis, foster patterns that have the potential to trigger aggressive behavior in children are authoritarian parenting patterns and permissive parenting patterns.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam perekonomian terutama bagi siswa SMK agar bisa memenuhi kebutuhan industri dan mengembangkan keterampilan praktis dalam menciptakan peluang usaha mandiri. Namun, kurangnya pemahaman dan pelatihan praktis menghambat minat siswa untuk berwirausaha. Salah satu bisnis kreatif yang mudah dan dapat dikembangkan adalah pembuatan terrarium. Terrarium adalah seni merangkai tanaman dalam suatu ruang dengan sebuah wadah. Solusi yang ditawarkan atas masalah yang ada adalah dengan menjalankan program berupa kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan Terrarium untuk menumbuhkan minat wirausaha bagi siswa SMK Sahid Surakarta. Target yang ingin dicapai dalam program pengabdian ini adalah memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan bagi siswa SMK Sahid Surakarta melalui pembuatan terrarium. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan bagi siswa SMK Sahid Surakarta melalui pembuatan terrarium. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan kegiatan melibatkan siswa kelas XI SMK Sahid Surakarta dengan menjelaskan dan praktik proses pembuatan terrarium menggunakan tanaman hias jenis kaktus dan sukulen. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menambah keterampilan siswa dalam membuat Terrarium dan menambah ide untuk berwirausaha sejak dini. Kata kunci: Pelatihan, kewirausahaan, terrarium. ABSTRACT Entrepreneurship is an important aspect of the economy, especially for vocational school students, so they can meet industry needs and develop practical skills in creating independent business opportunities. However, a lack of understanding and practical training hinders students' interest in entrepreneurship. One creative business that is easy and can be developed is making terrariums. Terrarium is the art of arranging plants in a space in a container. The solution offered to the existing problem is to run a program in the form of Terrarium making training activities to foster entrepreneurial interest for Sahid Surakarta Vocational School students. The target to be achieved in this service program is to provide additional knowledge about entrepreneurship for Sahid Surakarta Vocational School students through making terrariums. This activity aims to provide additional knowledge about entrepreneurship for students at Sahid Vocational School, Surakarta through making terrariums. The method used in this activity is in the form of training with activities involving class The results of this activity increase students' skills in making terrariums and increase ideas for entrepreneurship from an early age. Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) based on social entrepreneurship on both companies and communities, with a focus on community empowerment and social well-being improvement. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, this research analyzes various literatures related to CSR, social entrepreneurship, and its impact on local economic empowerment. The results indicate that CSR based on social entrepreneurship provides long-term benefits for both companies and communities. Companies that implement CSR with a social entrepreneurship approach can enhance their reputation, strengthen customer loyalty, and create mutually beneficial collaborations with local communities. For communities, this type of CSR opens up job opportunities, enhances entrepreneurial skills, and reduces dependence on social assistance. However, the main challenge in CSR implementation in remote areas is the limited infrastructure, access to education, and resources. This study also provides important implications for companies, governments, and communities in optimizing the sustainability of CSR programs based on social entrepreneurship. It is hoped that this research will serve as a reference in developing more sustainable CSR strategies, particularly in areas that require further economic empowerment.

Abstract

Translator   Translator   Translator   This study examines the impact of persuasive communication, discounts, and consumer trust on purchasing decisions during live-streaming sessions on Shopee, specifically focusing on the Sivali Factory account. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, using questionnaires distributed to respondents who purchased products from Sivali Factory via Shopee live streaming. The data were analysed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. Findings reveal that discounts and consumer trust significantly influence purchasing decisions, while persuasive communication does not have a significant effect. The study concludes that effective discount strategies and fostering consumer trust are crucial for enhancing purchasing decisions during live-streaming sessions. It is recommended that e-commerce businesses prioritise these factors to boost sales and consumer engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of work culture, discipline, and work enthusiasm on employee performance, with a specific focus on Generation Z employees at the Office of Trade and Cooperatives for Small and Medium Enterprises in Wonogiri Regency. Using a quantitative approach, a sample of 155 respondents was selected from a population of 224 employees through convenience sampling based on the Slovin formula. Data were collected using both online and offline questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS version 27. The findings show that work culture does not have a significant impact on employee performance. In contrast, both work discipline and enthusiasm have a significant and positive effect on performance. When examined simultaneously, all three variables influence performance, although only discipline and enthusiasm are individually significant. These results underscore the importance of fostering employee discipline and morale to enhance overall performance.

Abstract

Lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dihadapkan pada tantangan dunia kerja yang kompetitif dan dinamis. Persiapan mental dan keterampilan non-akademik seperti kemampuan menghadapi psikotes dan wawancara kerja menjadi hal yang krusial untuk dimiliki. Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesiapan kerja lulusan SMK di Indonesia masih belum optimal, terutama dalam aspek non-teknis seperti pengelolaan emosi saat wawancara dan pemahaman terhadap mekanisme psikotes. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa melalui psikoedukasi dan simulasi wawancara kerja, guna membekali mereka dengan keterampilan menghadapi dunia kerja secara percaya diri. Metode kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi interaktif tentang kesiapan kerja, strategi menghadapi psikotes, dan teknik wawancara. Selanjutnya, peserta mengikuti simulasi wawancara langsung untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan secara praktis. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari siswa kelas XII dalam mengikuti seluruh rangkaian psikoedukasi dan simulasi wawancara kerja. Sebagian besar peserta aktif berdiskusi dan mengajukan pertanyaan terkait proses seleksi kerja. Evaluasi singkat di akhir kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan, khususnya dalam aspek persiapan mental dan teknik menjawab pertanyaan wawancara. Simulasi juga membantu siswa mengenali kekuatan dan area yang perlu diperbaiki. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat kesiapan psikologis dan keterampilan interpersonal siswa menghadapi dunia kerja. Kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa melalui pemahaman materi dan pengalaman langsung dalam simulasi wawancara kerja.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming Human Resource Management (HRM), yet its adoption within the unique context of higher education institutions remains underexplored, particularly in developing nations. This study addresses this gap by investigating the application and implications of AI in core HRM functions, specifically recruitment, performance evaluation, and workforce planning, at a public university in Indonesia. Adopting an exploratory qualitative case study methodology, this study sourced data from twelve purposively selected stakeholders, including HR managers, academic leaders, and IT personnel, through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and non-participant observation. The collected data were systematically analyzed using thematic analysis, revealing a dual impact of AI adoption. While AI integration significantly enhances operational efficiency by automating recruitment screening and supporting data-driven workforce planning, it also introduces critical challenges, including the risk of algorithmic bias, a lack of transparency, and the potential erosion of human judgment in culturally sensitive evaluations. The study concludes that successful AI implementation in academic HRM is contingent upon institutional readiness, a supportive organizational culture, and a robust technological infrastructure. By applying the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Diffusion of Innovation (DoI) frameworks, this research contributes a nuanced understanding of the factors shaping AI adoption in higher education, underscoring the necessity of a balanced approach that leverages AI's benefits while preserving essential human oversight in university administration.

Abstract

Family business has a key role in economic growth and labor. Entrepreneurship education(EE) is any activity that aims to inculcate the mindset or mindset about entrepreneurship, fostering the intention, attitude and competence of a person in developing his potential by realizing creative and innovative behavior. Objectives to be achieved in research are (1)to analyze the influence of family background variables on entrepreneurship intention. (2)Analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education from variable to entrepreneurship intention. (3) Analyze the influence of creativity variable on entrepreneurship intention. (4)To analyze the effect of family background variables, entrepreneurship education and creativity together on the intention of entrepreneurship. This research is a descriptive research using quantitative approach. The location of this research is at Sahid University of Surakarta with total of 100 respondents. Data collection used in this research is questionnaire, observation and literature. The results obtained that the three independent variables are family background, entrepreneurship education and creativity positively influences entrepreneurship intention. Hypothesis testing using t test shows that all independent variables have significant less than 0.05. Then through the F test known that the three independent variables proved to have a significant influence together on entrepreneurship intention. The authors suggest that future research is needed approaches in Entrepreneurship education for others college students or university.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mutation, motivation and work environment on the performance of Karanganyar National Land Agency (BPN) employees. This research is descriptive research using quantitative methods. The population in this study were employees of the Karanganyar National Land Agency (BPN), the sample used was 118 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the value of Fhitung> Ftabel = 11.978> 2.68 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that mutation, motivation and work environment simultaneously and significantly affect the performance of employees of the National Land Agency (BPN) Karanganyar. Among the three variables above, mutation and the work environment partially have no significant effect on employee performance, while motivation partially has a significant effect on the performance of employees of the Karanganyar National Land Agency (BPN). It is known that the calculation of the coefficient of determination R Square value obtained is 0.240, meaning that the independent variable in explaining the dependent variable is 24% while the remaining 76% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
