Abstract

Translator   Translator   Translator   This study examines the impact of persuasive communication, discounts, and consumer trust on purchasing decisions during live-streaming sessions on Shopee, specifically focusing on the Sivali Factory account. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, using questionnaires distributed to respondents who purchased products from Sivali Factory via Shopee live streaming. The data were analysed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. Findings reveal that discounts and consumer trust significantly influence purchasing decisions, while persuasive communication does not have a significant effect. The study concludes that effective discount strategies and fostering consumer trust are crucial for enhancing purchasing decisions during live-streaming sessions. It is recommended that e-commerce businesses prioritise these factors to boost sales and consumer engagement.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of product quality, price perception, and location on the purchasing decisions of Mie Gacoan among students in Solo Raya. Primary data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 100 students who had purchased Mie Gacoan. The analysis utilised multiple linear regression to assess the relationships between the independent variables (product quality, price perception, and location) and the dependent variable (purchasing decision). The results indicated that product quality and price perception significantly positively influenced purchasing decisions, while location did not have a significant effect. The F-test demonstrated that the independent variables collectively had a significant impact on purchasing decisions, with an F-value of 71.490 and a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) revealed that the three independent variables could explain 68.1% of the variance in purchasing decisions. This study underscores the importance of product quality and price perception in influencing consumer behaviour, providing valuable insights for businesses seeking to enhance their marketing strategies.

Abstract

The decision to start a new business or buy an existing business is an important strategic choice for aspiring entrepreneurs. Each option has advantages and its own challenges. Starting a new business offers inner freedom creating innovation and adapting the business to the entrepreneur’s personal vision, however presents high risks related to market uncertainty, operational challenges, and difficulty in building an initial customer base. Instead, buy that business already in place provides stability through existing systems, customer base, as well as an established network, although it requires large initial capital and the ability to adapt to the established organizational culture. Factor External factors such as regulations, economic conditions and market dynamics also influence it this decision. Meanwhile, internal factors include capital capacity and skills managerial, and entrepreneurial experience. Through a literature review, this article provides a comprehensive perspective for prospective entrepreneurs in determining strategy business that is in line with goals, capabilities and market conditions. Based approach analyzes such as SWOT and risk evaluation are highly recommended to ensure selecting an effective and sustainable business strategy. Keputusan untuk merintis bisnis baru atau membeli bisnis yang sudah ada merupakan pilihan strategis yang penting bagi calon pengusaha. Setiap opsi memiliki keunggulan dan tantangan tersendiri. Merintis bisnis baru menawarkan kebebasan dalam menciptakan inovasi dan menyesuaikan bisnis dengan visi pribadi pengusaha, namun menghadirkan risiko tinggi terkait ketidakpastian pasar, tantangan operasional, dan kesulitan dalam membangun basis pelanggan awal. Sebaliknya, membeli bisnis yang sudah ada memberikan stabilitas melalui sistem yang telah berjalan, basis pelanggan, serta jaringan yang mapan, meskipun memerlukan modal awal yang besar dan kemampuan beradaptasi terhadap budaya organisasi yang sudah terbentuk. Faktor eksternal seperti regulasi, kondisi ekonomi, dan dinamika pasar turut memengaruhi keputusan ini. Sementara itu, faktor internal mencakup kapasitas modal, keterampilan manajerial, dan pengalaman pengusaha. Melalui tinjauan pustaka, artikel ini memberikan perspektif komprehensif bagi calon pengusaha dalam menentukan strategi bisnis yang sesuai dengan tujuan, kemampuan, dan kondisi pasar. Pendekatan berbasis analisis seperti SWOT dan evaluasi risiko sangat disarankan untuk memastikan pemilihan strategi bisnis yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of communication, work environment, and motivation on employee performance. The subjects of this study are contract employees at PT Asia Recycle Mandiri. The sample used consisted of 160 respondents. The analysis method applied is descriptive quantitative using multiple linear regression analysis techniques.Partial test results indicate that the communication variable does not significantly affect employee performance, with a t-value of 0.471 and a significance level of 0.638. Since t-value < t-table (0.471 < 1.97490) and the significance level > 0.05 (0.638 > 0.05), H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted.In contrast, the work environment variable shows a significant influence on employee performance, with a t-value of 6.080 and a significance level of 0.000. Since t-value > t-table (6.080 > 1.97490) and the significance level < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), H2 is accepted and H0 is rejected.The motivation variable also significantly influences employee performance, with a t-value of 3.084 and a significance level of 0.002. Since t-value > t-table (3.084 > 1.97490) and the significance level < 0.05 (0.002 < 0.05), H3 is accepted and H0 is rejected.Thus, the work environment and motivation variables are proven to have a significant influence on the performance of employees at PT Asia Recycle Mandiri, while communication does not have a significant influence.

Abstract

Family business, businesses owned and inherited by family members, play an importantrole in the Indonesian economy. Despite its long-term benefits and legacy potential, familybusinesses are also challenging. In carrying it out, maintaining the good name of the family,providing business knowledge to family members, and overcoming difficulties in reachingagreements are key factors. Several figures such as Moores and Barrett, Marpa, Dussault, andPoza provide different views regarding the definition of a family company. However, thepoint is that this company is family owned, involved in management, and has the potential tobe sustainable across generations. In the Indonesian context, several successful familycompanies include PT. DJARUM, PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Trans Corp, Bakrie Group,and Sampoerna. Knowing the various types of promising family businesses, such asrestaurants, learning courses, plantation industries, automotive businesses, and eventorganizers, can be a guide for starting a sustainable family business.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss and determine the important role of family businesses in the Indonesian economy, with a focus on the characteristics, economic contribution and challenges faced by family businesses. There are unique characteristics of family businesses, such as the participation of family members, emotional strength, and complex problems faced. In addition, there is an emphasis on the importance of succession in the continuity of family businesses. A structured succession process is considered vital to ensure the continuity and improvement of family business performance. Other factors highlighted involve the performance of family firms, the influence of non-family leadership, and relationships between family members and the impact of education on the succession process. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with literature studies, and the results show that succession planning has a significant positive impact on the success of family business succession. In addition, the involvement of family company founders, positive relationships from the family, and the influence of education on successor intentions are also important parts of the research conclusions.

Abstract

Children's behavior is influenced by many factors, including parenting patterns and peer groups. One of the patterns of behavior in children that are often encountered in their association with peers is aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of parenting patterns against aggressive behavior in children. Research using in-depth interview method. Before conducting interviews with participants, researchers conducted a screening to determine participants by giving two questionnaires, namely: The Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) to determine the type of parenting patterns and The Aggression Scale: A-Self Report Measure of Aggressive Behavior for Young Adolescents to determine the level of aggressiveness in children. After screening, the researchers selected 3 parents with representatives of each type of parenting pattern to be used as participants in the study. Based on the results of the analysis, foster patterns that have the potential to trigger aggressive behavior in children are authoritarian parenting patterns and permissive parenting patterns.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam perekonomian terutama bagi siswa SMK agar bisa memenuhi kebutuhan industri dan mengembangkan keterampilan praktis dalam menciptakan peluang usaha mandiri. Namun, kurangnya pemahaman dan pelatihan praktis menghambat minat siswa untuk berwirausaha. Salah satu bisnis kreatif yang mudah dan dapat dikembangkan adalah pembuatan terrarium. Terrarium adalah seni merangkai tanaman dalam suatu ruang dengan sebuah wadah. Solusi yang ditawarkan atas masalah yang ada adalah dengan menjalankan program berupa kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan Terrarium untuk menumbuhkan minat wirausaha bagi siswa SMK Sahid Surakarta. Target yang ingin dicapai dalam program pengabdian ini adalah memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan bagi siswa SMK Sahid Surakarta melalui pembuatan terrarium. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan bagi siswa SMK Sahid Surakarta melalui pembuatan terrarium. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan kegiatan melibatkan siswa kelas XI SMK Sahid Surakarta dengan menjelaskan dan praktik proses pembuatan terrarium menggunakan tanaman hias jenis kaktus dan sukulen. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menambah keterampilan siswa dalam membuat Terrarium dan menambah ide untuk berwirausaha sejak dini. Kata kunci: Pelatihan, kewirausahaan, terrarium. ABSTRACT Entrepreneurship is an important aspect of the economy, especially for vocational school students, so they can meet industry needs and develop practical skills in creating independent business opportunities. However, a lack of understanding and practical training hinders students' interest in entrepreneurship. One creative business that is easy and can be developed is making terrariums. Terrarium is the art of arranging plants in a space in a container. The solution offered to the existing problem is to run a program in the form of Terrarium making training activities to foster entrepreneurial interest for Sahid Surakarta Vocational School students. The target to be achieved in this service program is to provide additional knowledge about entrepreneurship for Sahid Surakarta Vocational School students through making terrariums. This activity aims to provide additional knowledge about entrepreneurship for students at Sahid Vocational School, Surakarta through making terrariums. The method used in this activity is in the form of training with activities involving class The results of this activity increase students' skills in making terrariums and increase ideas for entrepreneurship from an early age. Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) based on social entrepreneurship on both companies and communities, with a focus on community empowerment and social well-being improvement. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, this research analyzes various literatures related to CSR, social entrepreneurship, and its impact on local economic empowerment. The results indicate that CSR based on social entrepreneurship provides long-term benefits for both companies and communities. Companies that implement CSR with a social entrepreneurship approach can enhance their reputation, strengthen customer loyalty, and create mutually beneficial collaborations with local communities. For communities, this type of CSR opens up job opportunities, enhances entrepreneurial skills, and reduces dependence on social assistance. However, the main challenge in CSR implementation in remote areas is the limited infrastructure, access to education, and resources. This study also provides important implications for companies, governments, and communities in optimizing the sustainability of CSR programs based on social entrepreneurship. It is hoped that this research will serve as a reference in developing more sustainable CSR strategies, particularly in areas that require further economic empowerment.
