Abstract

Abstract

This study examines al-muḥassināt al-lafẓiyyah (phonetic and verbal rhetorical devices) found in the song album by Muṣṭafā ʿĀṭif. The purpose of this research is to identify words and expressions that possess aesthetic value and rhetorical influence on listeners through the lyrics sung by Muṣṭafā ʿĀṭif. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected using documentation techniques by reviewing, listening to, and analyzing the song lyrics in the album. The data sources consist of two types: online sources, specifically YouTube, and library sources, namely books related to rhetorical and balāghah studies. The findings reveal that the album contains 16 instances of jinās and 61 instances of sajʿ. Among the 16 jinās, 3 are classified as jinās tām within the category of jinās mumāthil, while of the 61 sajʿ, 11 are categorized as sajʿ mutawāzī and the remaining 50 as sajʿ muṭarraf.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's management in developing a literacy program at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Batanghari. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. The research participants consisted of the principal, librarian, teachers, and other stakeholders involved in the literacy program. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data trustworthiness was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the principal implemented the core management functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the literacy program. The planning stage involved aligning literacy goals with the school's vision and mission, designing literacy activities, establishing a literacy team, and providing supporting facilities. Organizing was carried out by involving all school members with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Program implementation emphasized daily reading habits before classroom instruction, library utilization, classroom reading corners, and teacher collaboration. Evaluation was conducted through regular monitoring, coordination meetings, and reflective discussions to improve program effectiveness. Although the literacy program has been implemented effectively, several challenges remain, including limited book collections, unequal literacy facilities across classrooms, and varying levels of students' reading interest. This study proposes a conceptual model of literacy program management in which planning, organizing, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement constitute an integrated management cycle for strengthening a sustainable literacy culture in Islamic senior secondary schools.

Abstract

This study analyzes principal leadership strategies for building a conducive school climate during an institutional transition at SMP Negeri 3 Kota Jambi. The transition involved a school merger, preparation for relocation to a new building, and efforts to improve public trust. The study employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students, and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal five key strategies: intensive stakeholder communication, democratic and participative leadership, strengthened teacher relationships, arts programs to enhance the school's image, and problem-solving through persuasive, personal, and procedural approaches. The major challenges include limited facilities, low parental support, and competition with religious-based schools. The study concludes that communicative, adaptive, and innovative leadership plays a crucial role in fostering a conducive school climate during transitional periods.

Abstract

Bullying remains a critical challenge in schools, requiring systematic management beyond immediate disciplinary responses. This study analyzes how Guidance and Counseling (BK) services manage bullying cases at Junior High School 16, Jambi City. This qualitative descriptive study employed interviews, observations, and documentation. The study analyzed data using the POAC management framework, consisting of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The findings indicate that BK service management has been implemented through teacher coordination, the establishment of a Violence Prevention and Handling Team, individual counseling, disciplinary actions, and student reporting channels. However, the evaluation stage remains limited because monitoring primarily focuses on case resolution rather than students' psychological recovery. This study emphasizes the necessity of strengthening follow-up evaluation and recovery-oriented counseling management to support student welfare and create a safer school environment.

Abstract

Student data administration governance is an important component of educational management because it is closely related to information accuracy, service effectiveness, reporting, and decision-making in schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of student data administration governance, identify the obstacles encountered, and examine the efforts undertaken by the school to improve the effectiveness of student data management at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, head of administration, administrative staff, and vice principal for student affairs. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that student data administration governance has a relatively clear management structure involving planning, task distribution, standard operating procedures, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. The school has also utilized the Dapodik system and GUCIMAS application to support student information management. However, implementation has not been fully optimal due to incomplete data, uneven coordination, limited technological competence among administrative staff, disorganized archives, and inadequate digital data backup. Improvement efforts include strengthening coordination, optimizing technology utilization, developing administrative staff competencies, and continuously evaluating and improving the archiving system. The study confirms that effective student data governance is determined not only by technological availability but also by human resource competence, clear procedures, coordination, and data quality control.
