Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' abilities in understanding the exposition text concept material. The exposition text is used by the researcher as the main reference for the discussion that will be studied from the perspective of students' understanding of the material presented by the teacher. The aim is to find out and describe the level of ability to understand the concept of quiz-assisted exposition text on Google Form for class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study were class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru using the Probability Sampling technique with the Simple Random Sampling type (random system). The sample in this study totaled 56 students obtained from the lottery system. The data used in this study are test results obtained by students through the Google Form quiz feature. The results of the calculations that have been carried out show the value of – t table < t count < + t table (-1.674 < 0.828 < + 1.674). Thus, H0 is accepted because the results of the hypothesis testing prove that the results of the student's ability test with a value of 77.07 exceed the alleged hypothesis value, namely with a minimum completeness criterion value of 75.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the type of persona deiksis in the collection of short stories Corat-Coret di Toilet by Eka Kurniawan. This research is qualitative, this research does not only intend to describe a situation that takes place in the short story collection, but this research in addition to collecting data also analyzes, interprets, and concludes. This type of research aims to describe the deiksis of persona in a collection of short stories Doodles in the Toilet. The data collection technique used in this study is a technique that uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction which is an important selection activity, discarding the unused and classifying data according to the type and form of deiksis. Based on the results of the analysis of the use of persona deiksis in the collection of Short Stories Cartoons in Toilet by Eka Kurniawan, the type of persona deiksis found in this study is the first persona deiksis found in the collection of short stories Corat-Coret in Toilet by Eka Kurniawan is only a single form. The second person deiksis in the collection of short stories Doodles in Toilet by Eka Kurniawan, namely the singular and plural forms. The third persona deiksis in the collection of short stories Doodles in Toilet by Eka Kurniawan is a single form. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by Powtoon on the poetry writing skills of 11th grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design, with two groups of students: the experimental group using the Picture and Picture model assisted by Powtoon and the control group using conventional learning. The research sample consisted of 80 students selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected through poetry writing tests at the pretest and posttest stages. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney U test and simple linear regression. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group, with a pretest average score of 54.38 and a posttest average score of 80.48, while the control group increased from 51.40 to 70.65. The statistical test showed a significance value of 0.002 (Sig. 0.05), which means that the Picture and Picture model assisted by Powtoon has a positive effect on students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of organizational activeness among grade XI students at SMKIslam Inayah Ujung Batu and its correlation with speaking skills. The research is quantitative with acorrelational approach. The population consists of all grade XI students at SMK Islam Inayah Ujung Batu, whilethe sample includes grade XI students from the Computer Network Engineering (TKJ), Electrical Power (LP),and Office Administration and Marketing (APHP) majors, selected using purposive sampling (non-probability).Data were collected using questionnaires, tests, documentation, and records. The independent variable X(organizational activeness) was measured via questionnaires, while the dependent variable Y (speaking skills)was measured through tests. Data analysis was assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows through thefollowing stages: (1) descriptive statistical analysis, (2) prerequisite tests including normality test, linearity test,correlation test, and significance test. The results show that students organizational activeness level is in the veryhigh category, while speaking skills are in the moderate/adequate category. The correlation coefficient 0.562falls into the moderate/adequate category. The significance value 0.001 < 0.05 indicates a significant influencebetween organizational activeness and speaking skills. The magnitude of this influence is reflected in thecoefficient of determination 0.316, meaning organizational activeness contributes 31.6% to students speakingskills in grade XI at SMK Islam Inayah Ujung Batu..Keywords: Organizational Activeness, Speaking Skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media Genially dalam pembelajaran teks drama pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pangean. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada rendahnya, pemahaman siswa terhadap unsur intrinsik dan struktur teks drama akibat pembelajaran konvensional yang monoton dan dominan menggunakan metode ceramah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group, melibatkan kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan media Genially dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman teks drama yang divalidasi dan diuji reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan, dengan rata-rata nilai posttest 83,38 dibandingkan 66,14 pada kelas kontrol. Uji hipotesis Mann-Whitney menghasilkan signifikansi < 0,001, yang menegaskan adanya perbedaan nyata antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, media Genially terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap teks drama serta mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa.

Abstract

UNIESCO and WHO records show Covid-19 has a major impact on learning activities. This condition changes the learning order of students. So the role of creative and critical thinking is needed in fostering the quality of learning. Students must maximize themselves in order to remain knowledgeable and insightful in accordance with the target learning outcomes. This observation was carried out on a sample of 73 students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program. The analysis was carried out with descriptive statistics, namely substituting all respondents' answers for processing. To see the relevance and relevance of the instrument to the problem of fostering learning quality through creative and critical thinking using the Product Moment correlation method, normality with chi squared, variable role predictions through ANOVA. The results of the analysis show that the role of the creative and critical thinking variables provides a significant contribution in fostering the quality of learning up to 97.5% at an average standard of 4.168. Overall the observed variables were at a very high standard. Students have been doing creative and critical thinking activities to build or maintain the quality of their learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya minat baca peserta didik yang disebabkan oleh salah satu factor yang menjadi perhatian peneliti yaitu media pembelajaran yang tidak beragam. Materi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang identic dengan membaca, menulis, dan berbicara masih disajikan secara konvensional dan masih didominasi oleh penggunaan buku cetak sebagai media pembelajaran utama. Perkembangan teknologi belum dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal oleh Sebagian pendidik dalam menghasilkan media pembelajaran menarik, terkhusus pada materi menulis resensi siswa kelas IX. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas pengembangan media mind mapping berbasis aplikasi canva untuk pembelajaran menulis resensi sebagai media yang dihadirkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada pada latar belakang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research And Develompment (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Validitas media ditinjau dari tiga aspek yang meliputi aspek media, materi dan bahasa yang dilakukan oleh 3 orang validator melalui lembar validasi, yang kemudian diolah dan memperoleh rata-rata 89,82% dengan Kesimpulan bahwa media yang dikembangkan berkategori sangat valid dan layak untuk diuji coba.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a smartphone-based anecdotal text learning media for high school students using the DDDE (Decide, Design, Development, Evaluation) model. The background of the research is based on three main problems: (1) low interest in learning conventional anecdotal texts, (2) lack of teaching materials relevant to students' digital lives, and (3) suboptimal use of smartphones (4) internet access in schools that has not been optimized. This research aims to provide innovative media alternatives based on the contextual needs of schools. The research methods used are research and development with observation, interview and data testing techniques. The data was processed using mixed method data analysis techniques. Quantitative data was obtained from the results of product trials using questionnaires and learning outcome tests, while qualitative data was obtained from observations and interviews with teachers and students. The validity of the product is assessed by material experts, media experts, and practitioners with categories that are very suitable for Indonesian learning. The trial is divided into a limited trial in one class and a field trial involving two classes at the school. The results of the analysis of 26 student samples showed an average pretest score of 61.8 and a posttest score of 83.8, with an increase of 22 points. The paired t-test yielded a calculated t of 44.9 > a t-table of 2.06 (α = 0.05), so there was a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after using the learning media. The normalized gain value (g) = 0.58 is in the moderate category, which indicates that learning media is effective in improving student learning outcomes. Thus, the media developed has proven to be very suitable for use in the learning process and has a positive effect on improving student understanding.

Abstract

Discovery learning is a student-centered learning model that encourages students to discover concepts, principles, or knowledge for themselves through exploration, observation, and active problem-solving. This method shifts the teacher's role from a source of information to a facilitator, aiming to improve in-depth understanding, critical thinking skills, and long-term memory retention. This study aims to see the effect of the discovery learning model on the ability to write observational report texts. This study was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a quantitative descriptive method based on quasi-experiments using one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were all 10th grade students who participated in the learning of the ability to write observational report texts using the discovery learning model, totaling 34 students while the sample in this study amounted to 31 students selected using a simple random technique. The instrument in this study was a test to write observational report texts involving the completeness of the text content, text structure, and linguistic rules as indicators in the assessment rubric. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed an increase in students' ability to write observational report texts after the implementation of the discovery learning model. The Asymp. sig. (2-tailed) value was smaller than 0.05 so it can be concluded that the discovery learning model had a significant effect on writing observational report texts for 10th grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan validitas multimedia interaktif articulate storyline 3 berbasis android pada materi teks berita siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Researchh and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE sebagai prosedur pengembangan yang merupakan singkatan dari analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluations. Pada penelitian ini hanya membahas tahap validasi yang termasuk pada tahapan development (perancangan). Validasi yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 validator yakni validator ahli bahasa, validator ahli media, validator ahli materi dan validator ahli soal. Adapun instrumen pengumpuan data menggunakan angket uji validitas dengan menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif articulate storyline 3 berbasis android berkategori sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor persentase penilaain keseluruhan para ahli yaitu 98,11%.
