Abstract

This study discussed Banyuwangi’s Coffee Plantation in 1818-1829, and the dynamics of submission mandatory referred to the Priyangan (Preangerstelsel) system that affected the coffee plantations in Banyuwangi. This study used history as the research method. It shows the coffee journey from early planting and the ups and downs of coffee plantation income. To achieve the expected production, the Dutch East Indies government made some efforts, including reopening the abandoned Sukaradja plantations, opening a new plantation on the slopes of Idjen-Raung Mountain, and opening the citizen's gardens with a private system until a coffee fencing system. The coffee produced was Arabica/Djawa coffee, which became an excellent coffee in International scope. 1829 was the last year of the compulsory submission system, referring to the Priyangan system and changed to the cultivation system (Cultuurstelsel).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers for the development of digital teaching materials, namely the digital book of the history of the Dumai City port as local history and to see the level of historical awareness of high school students in Dumai City. This research is part of development research (R&D). This type of research is an expo facto research where researchers collect data systematically directly to respondents through data collection instruments. The process of collecting data is a very important stage in research. The data that has been collected will be used to test the hypotheses that have been proposed in the study where the data were obtained through interviews, observations and questionnaires. The data analysis technique was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study show that (1) there is a positive view of the need for developing this digital book in the Specially Assisted State Senior High School and Dumai City 1 Public High School; (2) students' learning motivation is still relatively low for history subjects, this is due to the limited use of digital media used in the learning process; (3) history learning media is still very conventional; and (4) students' historical awareness of the existence of local history is still low.

Abstract

Critical thinking is still infrequently taught in the classroom, particularly in Indonesia, despite the fact that many experts believe it is a vital problem in the education area. As a result, the purpose of this research was to picture the use of the revised Bloom taxonomy to investigate critical thinking in language tests. The article analyses the test items in language tests which consists of the High thinking order level based on the revised Bloom's theory. To begin, this current work summarizes past research, which found that critical thinking has been studied in a variety of areas in language teaching but has yet to address language evaluation using the revised Bloom's taxonomy. It is necessary to present the six-level Anderson and Krathwohl (2001) taxonomy, which is then referred to as the revised Bloom's taxonomy, before discussing how to promote critical thinking. Then, the finding indicates that the item tests which are considered to be high order skills consistently direct students to think critically and systematically.

Abstract

The research on communication within the virtual project team has been conducted, and it is essential to identify which parts of the study have been explored and need more attention. It is necessary to analyze which countries and authors contributed the most and the types of publications used the most on communication in virtual project teams. Although there are many reviews of the literature on project communication issues and the different aspects of virtual teams, none of them are specifically dedicated to the topic of communication in virtual project teams. This article aims to identify scientific outputs in communication in virtual project teams from 2001 to 2020 and analyze their volume and geographic distribution. A bibliometric analysis approach was applied to this study to answer research questions regarding the number of publications in the research period, the most contributing countries and the most prolific authors, the types of publications applied, and the research topics discussed in the literature studied. Three search engine databases, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, are used to find the publications of communication in the virtual project team and answer research questions. The results of the bibliometric analysis explain that the most frequently discussed topics concern the methods and tools for communication in virtual teams, while issues on communication-related to trust or leadership are the least explored areas.
