Abstract

This research aims to produce innovation of performance assessment rubric on practicum salt hydrolysis material. The rubric was being consulted and validated by experts, then it was being revised and tested. The trial result was being analyzed and revised, then usage test was given. The research was conducted at SMA in Semarang using purposive sampling technique. A small scale was given to ten students and large scales were given to the students in class XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 4. The results showed that the validity of innovation of performance assessment rubric by experts was 86.46%. Implementation innovation of performance assessment rubric on practicum salt hydrolysis "test salt solution in water", the agreement has been reached between the observer and the student with the value of generalizability coefficient are 0.711 and 0.744. The impact of the use of performance assessment rubric is that the cognitive learning outcomes of the students can achieve mastery learning. In class XI IPA 3, there are 33 students from 38 students achieve KKM and in class XI IPA 4 there are 33 students from 37 students achieve values KKM. Student’s characters can also be developed during lab activities, such as discipline, honesty, independence, curiosity, responsibility, and cooperation. Based on the results, innovation of performance assessment research practicum salt hydrolysis "test salt solution in water" could be used as a guide to the performance assessment (psychomotor) of the students and increase understanding of the concept and fosters student’s character.  Keywords : Innovation, Performance Assessment Rubric, Salt Hydrolisis

Abstract

Meningkatkan pencapaian kompetensi yang menjadi indikator dalam kajian mutu pendidikan di Indonesia dapat dilakukan melalui pengadaan bahan ajar kimia yang bemutu dan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Chemistry Handout berstrategi Problem Based Solving (PBS) bervisi SETS sebagai bahan ajar inovatif dan mengetahui kriteria validitasnya. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan metode penelitian Research and Development model 4D yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D. Validitas Chemistry Handout diperoleh dari hasil validasi menggunakan lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas isi Chemistry Handout mendapatkan nilai 93,33 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Chemistry Handout memiliki kesesuaian untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran berstrategi PBS dan mendukung pembelajaran bervisi SETS. Validitas Chemistry Handout dari aspek media mencapai nilai validitas 95 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Chemistry Handout disusun sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran dan karakter peserta dinilai dapat mendorong peserta didik untuk aktif menggali pengetahuan, melakukan pemecahan masalah dan bekerjasama dalam kelompok. Desain Chemistry Handout memasukan aspek–aspek yang memberikan kesempatan peserta didik melakukan pemecahkan masalah yang dihubungkan dengan unsur SETS dinilai mampu mendorong peserta didik belajar. Chemistry Handout berstrategi PBS bervisi SETS berhasil dikembangkan dengan kriteria validitas sangat valid diharapkan menjadi bahan ajar bermutu dan inovatif untuk membantu meningkatkan ketercapaian kompetensi dasar stoikiometri.Increasing the competence accomplishment as the indicator of education quality in Indonesia can be hold by developing an inovative and qualified instructional material. This researh had purpose to develop and validate the Chemistry Handout with Problem Based Solving (PBS) strategy and SETS vision as the inovative instructional material.This research was constucted with the Research and Development (R & D) method which modified 4D model to 3D model of development. The Content and media validaty of Chemistry Handout were collected from result validation through expert assesment used the content and media validation sheets. Results showed that the content validity of Chemistry Handout reach 93,33 value which had very valid criteria. Chemistry Handout was stated suitable to used as an instructional material to support the Problem Based Solving Learning and SETS visson learning. The media validity of Chemistry Handout reach 95 value which stated very valid criteria. Chemistry Handout had be arranged suitable to learning purpose and student characteristic so it had potent to motivated student be actively involve learners, active role of practitioners (problem solvers) conronted with ill-structured problem wich refleted the real world and create a collaborative learning environment. The design of Chemistry Handout containt apects which gave student the opportunity to solve the real life problem that integrated to the SETS element, so it was potential to increase the student’s motivation learning. The Chemistry Handout with Problem Based Learning strategy and SETS vision is a valid instructional material can be used in the Stiochiometry learning to increasing the competence accomplishment.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan dengan guru, ternyata hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas X SMA Ibu Kartini Semarang masih rendah.  Hal ini disebabkan karena pembelajaran didominasi dengan metode ceramah yang berpusat pada  guru. Penggunaan  pendekatan  game  simulation,  diharapkan  dapat meningkatkan kecakapan  hidup  (life  skill)  dan  hasil  belajar  siswa  pada  pokok  bahasan  hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga  siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refl eksi. Fokus yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah kecakapan hidup siswa dan hasil belajar siswa. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk mengetahui peningkatan  hasil  belajar  siswa.  Indikator  keberhasilan  penelitian  ini  dilihat  hasil  belajar siswa  yaitu  secara  klasikal  85%  siswa mencapai  ketuntasan  belajar  individual minimal 65%. Berdasarkan analisa data hasil penelitian, rata-rata kecakapan hidup (life skill) siswa meningkat dari pada siklus I(86%), siklus II (71.52%), dan siklus III (75.02%). Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata 71.05 (siklus I), 75.27 (siklus II), dan 82.24 (siklus III). Kata Kunci: game simulation, life skill

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are still low. Students have an average score below KKM. KKM is determined by each school. KKM in SMAN 9 Semarang is 70. The low value of KKM is caused by students not yet mastering the prerequisite material acid-base. Based on these data student?s misconception need to be analyzed. This study aims to analyze the misconception of buffer material on students. The type of  this research is mixed method. The research design used was a sequential explanatory. The research procedure is following the mixed method syntax. The sample in this study were 128 students from SMAN 9 Semarang. Quantitative data were collected using 10 three-tier multiple choice test questions that used the student?s reasons and level of confidence. The validation results of the test questions are valid and reliable. Qualitative data was collected by interviewing students. The results showed that students have scientific knowledge 16%, type 1 misconception 19%, type 2 misconception 22%, type 3 misconception 37%, lucky 1%, lack of knowledge type 1 1% concept, lack of knowledge type 2 1% concept, and lack of knowledge type 3 3%.

Abstract

Understanding the concept is a very important factor to achieve maximum learning goals. In the learning process required a learning method that is applied by a teacher so that students easily understand the concept. This study aims to determine the understanding of the concept of class X students on redox material and compound nomenclature after the application of the Blended-Problem Based Learning method. This type of research is a case study that uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods involving 36 high school class ten students from the 2018-2019 academic year. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. Understanding students' concepts using reasoned questions, that are three layers of multiple choice tests. The results of the analysis of students' understanding of concepts on redox material and compound nomenclature after the application of the Blended-Problem Based Learning method showed that of 27 of 36 students (75%) understood the concept of redox and compound nomenclature, 8 out of 36 students (22%) misconceptions, and 1 of 50 students (0.3%) did not understand the concept of redox and compound nomenclature. Application of the Blended-Problem Based Learning model can help students to understand the redox reaction material and compound nomenclature.

Abstract

This research aims to find out validity and reliability of mini research based learning material supplement for fifth graders primary school. This research and development (R&D) had stages started from: identifying potency and problem, collecting the data by using questionnaire, observation, interview, pre-test question and post-test, designing product in the form of mini research based learning material under theme respiration system of human as learning supplement with current developed topic about the danger of smoking for human health, validating the design done by media and material experts, revising the design based on judgment, critics, and experts? advices, and testing the products done at VB graders of Islamic Primary School Ta?allamul Huda Bumiayu. The data was analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The finding showed that the media and the subject content experts giving average score of 3.48 (87%) and 3.94 (98.33%), respectively. Based on the teacher?s judgment, the average score obtained 3.20 (80%) and judgment given by students showed average score 3.82 (95.49%). The judgment from media and subject content experts, teachers, and students showed that the supplement was reliable. The implementation of this product to measure conceptual understanding and showed improvement from 42.54 into 74.77 with N-gain 0.55, categorized as moderate. The students? attitudes dealing with smoking showed N-gain 0.39, categorized moderate with improvement score from 82.33 into 87.67, categorized to gave negative respons for smoking attitude. The learning material supplement based on mini research under theme human respiration system was valid and reliable to be used as learning materials for fifth graders.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze and describe the characters that can be developed in Pancasila and citizenship education. The research method used descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological design. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students. data analysis used Miles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, display data and conclusions or verification. The results of the research showed that the learning implementation strategy of the Pancasila and citizenship education through habituation, communication, and role models which can develop religious, nationalist, independent, cooperation and integrity characters was very well in every process of teaching and learning in the classroom. Supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of Pancasila and citizenship education with character development include; supporting factors due to the existence of learning tools, the cooperation of the teacher component, the existence of student independence in every teaching and learning activity. The inhibiting factor was due to a number of learning tools could not provided in learning, many students in the classroom can hamper the process of teaching and learning activities in classroom.

Abstract

Electronic Task Based Learning (e-TBL) is learning by giving assignments to students assisted by electronic media so that students are more active. In SMPIT Izzatul Islam (SMPIT Izzis) Getasan e-TBL is not yet available to analyze critical thinking skills and problem solving on learning substance and characteristics. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable e-TBL to analyze critical thinking skills and problem solving in learning substance and characteristics and to find out the responses of users after using e-TBL as a result of development. Type of this research is the research and development of the 4D model. The subjects of this study were students of grade 8 SMPIT Izzis. A limited test was conducted to determine the readability of e-TBL, the feasibility of e-TBL, and user responses to e-TBL conducted with a questionnaire sheet that tested its validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used in this study was quantitative descriptive. Based on research results, the development of e-TBL is feasible to use because it is valid and reliable. Responses from users also show that the development of e-TBL is feasible to be used to analyze critical thinking skills and problem solving on learning substance and characteristics.

Abstract

The process of singing is related to the social process of the child's emotions with the environment, and the social process of emotions involves changes in one's relationships with others, changes in emotions and personalities. This research aims to analyze the singing expression of children in the teaching and learning process at Tarbiyatul Athfal Kindergarten, Krapyak, Jepara. The subjects consisted of early childhood students in Class B or within 5-6-year-old age interval at Tarbiyatul Athfal Kindergarten by taking 3 classes in which each of them represented by 3 students of each category. Thus, there were 9 students taken as the subjects. The research methodology was a qualitative approach. Examine the child's expression when singing in the learning process, how the teacher's role in leading and directing the learning process and see how the child's expression is produced from singing. The findings concerning the singing expression of the children were each child had different expressions while singing. Each expression showed different socio-emotional attitudes. Some students indifferently accepted the song as learning media. Thus, they seemed sufficiently active in learning. In contrast, children were not interested in the song. It showed that children were less active in receiving a lesson from the teacher. The research conclusion shows three student categories in learning. They are (1) active students in learning when singing activities that children are always cheerful, excited and complete their assignments according with their teacher?s directions (2) sufficiently active students, the children are less cheerful and excited, their body?s movement is very limited, so it can affect in their enthusiasm to complete the assignments, (3) less active students in learning, children are not at all interested in the songs provided, they have their world that they like. The research benefits are as reference for further researchers to find out student categories in learning which is adjusted to the obtained expression while singing and having socio-emotional attitudes obtained from the activity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah instrumen penilaian unjuk kerja pada presentasi tugas dengan teknik peer assessment yang valid dan reliabel sehingga dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk mendapatkan penilaian pada aspek psikomotor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pengembangan Djemari Mardhapi yang merupakan pengembangan dari metode penelitian Gronlund. Instrumen penelitian yang dikembangkan diuji keefektifannya sebagai produk pengembangan. Keefektifan produk pengembangan diketahui dari ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar siswa yaitu dari aspek psikomotor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal pada  aspek psikomotorik siswa saat implementasi instrumen penilaian adalah sebesar 92,7%, sebagai dampak positif lain ketuntasan klasikal aspek kognitif kelas X MIPA 2 dan X MIPA 5 secara berturut-turut sebesar 84,2% dan 89,4% serta ketuntasan klasikal aspek afektif adalah sebesar 93,4%. Hasil validasi dari tiga validator menunjukkan instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan ini masuk dalam kriteria valid. Hasil reliabilitas instrumen penilaian yang pertama adalah 0.983, reliabilitas kedua adalah 0.701 dan reliabilitas ketiga adalah 0.855. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian unjuk kerja yang dikembangkan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai alat penilaian dalam proses pembelajaran.
