Abstract

Instrument based assessment of the scientific approach is very important learning process developed to measure scientific students. The instrument is said to be good and true if valid criteria, the reliability, practical, and effective. This research aimed to know the instrument character, to get a valid and reliability instrument, to examme instrument practicality, and to test the instrument effectiveness level in measuring students scientific learning process. This research used a qualitative and quantitative and adapted the method of research and development Borg and Gall models. The content validity of the instrument was validated by experts. Assessment instruments were tested at 30 students (limited) and 100 students (broad). The validity of the instrument items were analyzed with the program SPSS 16.0 version and obtamed which representated 20 items every scientific learning indicators. Reliability were analyzed with the SPSS program 16.0 version and obtamed the reliability by value 0.908 (very high). The validity of the assessment instruments constructs were analyzed by using LISREL program 8.8. version and model compatibility fulfilled a good of fit criteria with the grade of value (0.6159), RMSEA (0.000), RMR (0.061), CFI (1.00), NFI (0.98), GFI (0.97), AGFI (0.93), NNFI (0.98), PNFI (0.74), and PGFI (0.81). The results of the value calculation of construct reliability was 0.95 and variance extracted value was to 0.54. Assessment instruments had practicality and effectiveness level with "very good" category based on the user's response.

Abstract

In general, problems that occur in the actual are the discovery of instruments that have not been tested for problem solving abilities. The aim of this research is to reveal the content validity and interrater reliability of the instrument for evaluating the problem solving abilities that have been prepared. The research method is used a quantitative description by 3 expert judgments, they are experts in research and evaluation, mathematics education experts, and mathematics teachers. The instrument was developed in the form of an expert observation sheet with 3 aspects of assessment, they are the aspect of content eligibility, construction aspects, and language aspects, which of each aspect has 4 categories, which are very relevant, relevant, quite relevant, and highly irrelevant. Data were analyzed using the Aiken's V formula to determine the level of instrument validity and to determine the level of consistency / constancy between assessors using Instraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) analysis with the help of SPSS version 23.0. the results of analysis of the content validity of all items valued above 0.3 which means that all aspects assessed by experts are valid. Interrater reliability test using ICC obtained a value of 0.516, which means that all aspects of the instrument for evaluating problem solving abilities that have been rated have a level of consistency. Thus, the instrument of problem-solving ability that has been tested for validity and reliability can be used by educators to determine the level of students' problem solving abilities appropriately.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of students' misconceptions on stoichiometric material and to find out the findings obtained from the misconception analysis. This research method is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data collection methods using test and questionnaire methods. Qualitative data method with interview method. The total misconception profile on stoichiometric material was 44.6%. The profile of misconceptions based on the achievement of the highest concept understanding indicator was 65%. The concepts that cause chemical misconceptions of stoichiometric competence in students include the basic laws of chemistry, molar mass, molar volume, number of particles, limiting reagents and empirical formulas. Factors that can cause misconceptions in students found by researchers are situations that are less conducive, lack of student interest in learning chemistry, learning methods that are not correct, lack of courage to ask questions, low student motivation.

Abstract

Learning materials are needed in the implementation of student learning activities to achieve learning success in accordance with the achievement of competencies. Preliminary studies showed that there was still a lack of learning materials development according to the students’ needs. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of science learning materials based on Project Based Learning with integrated STEM to improve students' creative thinking skills and teacher responses to the use of learning materials. The research method used was research and development (R&D) which included several stages, namely problem identification, data collection, design of science learning material using project-based learning with integrated STEM, design validation, design revision, small-scale trials, and big-scale trials. The results showed that the science learning materials developed were suitable for use, namely 3.87 categorized as a very valid category. Moreover, teacher responses obtained 97.33% (very good). Students have an increase in their creative thinking skills up to 0.37 (moderate). Therefore, the use of learning materials using project-based learning with integrated STEM becomes one of the best solutions to improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of variety of HOTS questions to measure ability of problem-solving on thermochemistry materials. The objective of this research is to develop a HOTS assessment instrument to measure valid problem-solving abilities on thermochemical materials. The research method used is R&D with a 4D model adapted from Thiagarajan that is converted into 3D, that are define, design, and develope. The subjects of this research were 77 students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pemalang. The data collection sources and methods include: interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The analysis results of the content validity of the instrument obtained that the Aiken'S coefficient in all aspects measured was above 0.75. This shows that the HOTS assessment instrument is very valid. The validity of the construct is seen from the value raw variance explained by measures 48.6% has very good criteria so that the question items are valid. The analysis results of the quality of the HOTS questions to measure problem-solving abilities are seen in terms of the validity of the items, it is known that there are 16 items that are said to be valid and 4 items are said to be invalid because they do not meet the requirements outfit MNSQ, Outfit ZSTD, and Point Measure Correlation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen self-assessment pada praktikum kimia dasar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan laboratorium calon guru kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pen-dekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian pengembangan di UIN Walisongo Semarang. Penelitian diawali dengan validasi instrumen self-assessment oleh pakar dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan instrumen self-assessment pada prakti-kum kimia dasar telah tercapai kesepahaman antar observer dengan harga koefisien generalisabilitas ³ 0,7. Dampak penggunaan instrumen self-assessment adalah 24 dari 30 mahasiswa dengan rata-rata kinerja sangat baik, tanggapan mahasiswa sangat setuju yaitu 20 dari 30 mahasiswa dan dosen pengampu memberikan tanggapan sangat setuju dengan penggunaan instrumen ini. Implementasi instrumen self-assessment terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan laboratorium calon guru kimia.The purpose of this study is to develop self-assessment instruments on basic chemistry labs to improve the skills of prospective chemistry teacher labs. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approach with development research method in UIN Walisongo Semarang. The research begins with validation of self-assessment instruments by experts with very reasonable criteria. The results showed that the use of self-assessment instruments on the basic chemistry laboratories has reached an agreement between observers with the coefficient of generalizability ³ 0.7. The impact of the use of self-assessment instruments is 24 out of 30 students with excellent average performance, the student's response is very strong, 20 of 30 students and lecturers respond very agree with the use of this instrument. Implementation of self-assessment instruments proved to be effective in improving the laboratory skills of prospective chemistry teachers.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran tidak hanya selalu berlangsung dalam sebuah institusi. Oleh karena itu peserta didik perlu dibekali dengan keterampilan untuk menguji diri sendiri tentang apa yang harus diketahui dan sudah diketahui agar mampu beradaptasi dalam tempat belajar baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan self and peer assessment pada praktikum kimia terhadap aktivitas mahasiswa Unnes dan mengetahui hasil penelitian apakah setara dengan teacher assessment. Desain penelitian menggunakan one –shot case study. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling dengan rombel 3 prodi pendidikan kimia sebagai kelas eksperimen dan rombel 2 prodi kimia sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan statistik student diketahui nilai thitung sebesar 2,63 lebih besar dari t0,95(65) sebesar 1,67 yang berarti penerapan self and peer assessment lebih efektif untuk diterapkan pada praktikum kimia dasar materi titrasi daripada hanya diterapkan self assessment. Setelah dianalisis lebih lanjut menggunakan anava dua jalan dilanjut pasca anava dengan nilai Famatan sebesar 0,44, paling kecil diantara perbandingan yang lain diketahui bahwa teknik penilaian self and peer assessment sama secara signifikan dengan teacher assessment sebagai reliabel accessor pada kategori aktivitas praktikum tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen performance assessment untuk menilai kinerja siswa pada praktikum kimia materi hidrolisis garam yang memenuhi syarat valid dan reliabel. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development, R & D). Tahap pengembangan ini meliputi analisis kebutuhan, merangcang instrumen, validasi dan uji coba produk. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 1 Semarang. Validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas isi dengan penilaian tiga orang ahli. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan teori generalibilitas menggunakan program GENOVA. Hasil penelitian diperoleh instrumen performance assessment yang valid menurut penilaian ahli. Uji reliabilitas instrumen diperoleh besarnya koefisien reliabilitas yang cukup tinggi masing-masing instrumen penilaian kinerja proses dan produk sebesar 0,83 dan 0,87. Profil hasil penilaian kinerja praktikum siswa menunjukkan bahwa secara umum hampir seluruh siswa menunjukkan kinerja yang baik, dilihat dari kinerja proses dan kinerja produk. Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu sarana pendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran. Bahan ajar harus memiliki karakteristik tertentu supaya dapat memberikan hasil yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu model pengembangan Sugiyono yang dimodifikasi. Metode pengambilan data yang dilakukan yaitu metode wawancara, angket, tes dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil validasi kelayakan isi, penyajian, bahasa, kegrafisan dan kepraktisan berturut-turut mendapat rerata skor 17.8/20, 25.2/28, 35.6/40, 17.3/20 dan 18.7/20. Kepraktisan bahan ajar juga ditinjau dari angket tanggapan siswa. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memberikan tanggapan positif dengan 8 siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat baik dan 28 siswa memberikan tanggapan baik. Keefektifan bahan ajar ditinjau dari ketuntasan klasikal siswa. Ketuntasan klasikal siswa yaitu sebanyak 28 siswa tuntas dari 36 siswa atau sebesar 77.78%. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak, praktis dan efektif. Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar; contextual teaching learning; Multirepresentasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan ketercapaian kompetensi dasar siswa dan besar pengaruh menggunakan pembelajaran model blended learning pada materi reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan model pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengambilan data melalui metode tes, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian berupa hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t-tes dan korelasi biserial. Penilaian menggunakan jurnal belajar menghasilkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dengan kriteria cukup untuk kelas eksperimen maupun kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh thitung (2,97) dan ttabel (1,67) berarti rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis pengaruh variabel diperoleh harga koefisien korelasi biserial (rb) 0,407 yang termasuk kriteria sedang dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 16,6%. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model blended learning berbasis task dengan menggunakan penilaian jurnal dan hasil belajar memberikan pengaruh sedang dengan kontribusi sebesar 16,6% serta dapat meningkatakan kompetensi dasar siswa.
