Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of institutional determination on the level of digital intellectual capital disclosure in state universities that are included in the UniRank ranking in Indonesia. In the digital era and information disclosure, the disclosure of intellectual capital (ICD) through official websites is an important indicator of institutional transparency and competitiveness. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of associative research and total sampling of 28 state universities included in UniRank 2025. Secondary data were collected through documentation studies and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results of the study showed that organizational complexity, internationalization, and institutional status did not have a positive effect on ICD. In fact, internationalization and the status of universities have a significant negative effect. These findings suggest that global presence and high status are not necessarily in line with a commitment to strategic information disclosure. The disclosure of intellectual capital in many universities is still symbolic and has not yet become part of an integrated institutional strategy. Therefore, clear regulations and a strong culture of transparency are needed to encourage more accountable and sustainable management of digital information.

Abstract

The use of AI ChatGPT is increasing in higher education environments. This study aims to analyze the influence of SELF-Determination Theory, which includes Perceived Autonomy, Perceived Competence, and Perceived Relatedness, as well as user trust, on the adoption intention of AI ChatGPT, with Technology Characteristics as a mediating variable. The research sample consisted of 117 Accounting Education students from the 2023 intake who were selected using probability sampling techniques. The research method used was a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling analysis based on Partial Least Squares (SEM - PLS). The results showed that Self-Determination Theory and user trust had a positive effect on the adoption intention of AI ChatGPT and acted as mediating variables in the relationship between the independent variables and adoption intention. The conclusion of this study confirms that fulfilling psychological needs, user trust, and technology characteristics need to be considered to encourage optimal adoption of AI ChatGPT in the education sector.

Abstract

Prospective teachers should participate in pedagogical competency programs and engage in teaching practice to become professional teachers. The urgency of this study lies in examining the factors that influence career choices and assessing the quality of future professional teachers. This study investigates the effects of career self-efficacy (SE) and career interest (CI) on career choice (CC), with career exploration (CE) as a mediator, during the teaching internship. The population was 675 accounting education students who participated in the teaching internship program. The study used a simple random sampling method, yielding 251 respondents. The questionnaire included the career decision-making career self-efficacy scale-short form (CDMSE-SF), career exploration survey (CES), and career choice. A quantitative approach using structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed in WarpPLS 5.0. The study results show a direct relationship between career self-efficacy, career interest, and career exploration on career choice. Career exploration at the teaching internship also mediates the relationship between career self-efficacy and career interest in teaching career choice. It indicates that teaching internship programs increase students' confidence, thereby strengthening their resolve to pursue a career as an accounting teacher. Future studies may also explore other variables such as outcome expectations and personal background factors.

Abstract

Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung literasi keuangan, pengendalian diri, dan perilaku keuangan terhadap kesejahteraan keuangan mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausalitas. Kami merancang dan mendistribusikan kuesioner kepada sampel acak 266 mahasiswa di Semarang. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan menggunakan google-form. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa literasi keuangan, pengendalian diri dan perilaku keuangan berpengaruh langsung terhadap kesejahteraan keuangan. Perilaku keuangan berhasil memediasi hubungan literasi keuangan terhadap kesejahteraan keuangan. Temuan terakhir yaitu perilaku keuangan tidak mampu memediasi hubungan pengendalian diri terhadap kesejahteraan keuangan. Oleh karena itu penting bagi perumus kebijakan agar bisa meningkatkan upaya eskalasi pendidikan keuangan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek kognitif seperti literasi keuangan melainkan juga aspek psikologis berupa pengendalian diri di kalangan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pilihan karier mahasiswa di bidang akuntansi, dengan fokus pada lingkungan belajar, sikap mahasiswa, prospek karier, dan niat mencari ilmu saat ini sebagai variabel mediasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 120 mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi UNNES angkatan 2022, yang dipilih menggunakan rumus Slovin. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa lingkungan belajar secara signifikan memengaruhi niat mencari ilmu saat ini tetapi tidak memengaruhi niat untuk mengejar karier akuntansi. Prospek karier saat ini dan niat mencari ilmu secara signifikan memengaruhi niat mahasiswa untuk memilih karier akuntansi. Namun, prospek karier tidak secara signifikan memengaruhi niat mencari ilmu saat ini, dan sikap mahasiswa tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap niat mencari ilmu saat ini atau niat untuk memilih karier akuntansi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang faktor-faktor utama yang membentuk keputusan mahasiswa untuk mengejar profesi di bidang akuntansi.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of using Gimkit, an interactive game-based learning platform, on students’ analytical skills, engagement, and learning satisfaction in the Introduction to Accounting course. A quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group was employed, involving 80 undergraduate students divided into an experimental class (using Gimkit) and a control class (conventional methods). Research instruments consisted of a 15-item multiple-choice test to measure analytical skills and Likert-scale questionnaires to assess engagement and satisfaction. The instruments were validated using Pearson’s correlation (r > 0.30) and achieved acceptable reliability (Cronbach’s α > 0.70). The results of independent sample t-tests showed no significant differences in analytical skills (t = 0.26, p > .05, d = 0.06) and engagement (t = 0.02, p > .05, d = 0.01) between groups. However, a significant difference was found in learning satisfaction (t = 4.21, p < .001, d = 0.75), with higher satisfaction reported by students in the Gimkit group. These findings suggest that Gimkit is more effective in enhancing affective aspects, particularly satisfaction, rather than cognitive outcomes in the short term. This study provides one of the first empirical insights into Gimkit implementation in accounting education in Indonesia and highlights the need for further longitudinal research to examine its long-term cognitive effects.

Abstract

Lawe Benowo Waterfall is a natural tourist destination located in Kalisidi Village, West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency. This waterfall has captivating natural beauty. The purpose of this community service activity is to strengthen management capabilities through tourism management education and public speaking. The approach used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), implemented through counseling, mentoring, and training. The target community is the administrators and members of the Katuranga Tourism Group (Pokdarwis) of Kalisidi Village, totaling 20 people. The results of this activity include institutional strengthening, increased management capacity, and the expansion of digital ecotourism-based tourism promotion, which contribute to increased community income. Pokdarwis Katuranga can communicate in English and French. During the training and language practice sessions, participants showed great enthusiasm. This community service activity successfully introduced an innovation in ecotourism-based tourism management to create sustainable ecotourism at Lawe Benowo Waterfall.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the direct effect of social media networking, knowledge sharing, and innovation on MSME's growth. This study also examines the role of knowledge sharing and innovation in mediating the influence of social media networking on the MSME’s growth. This research is survey research. Respondents are MSMEs from young entrepreneurs assisted by universities. Respondents who participated in this study were 467 people, but only 421 could be used. Data analysis techniques in this study using PLS-SEM. The results show that social media networking, knowledge sharing, and innovation affect MSME's growth. Knowledge sharing and innovation play a part in mediating the influence of social media networking on MSME’s growth. This study examines the role of knowledge sharing and innovation in mediating social media networking on MSME’s growth.

Abstract

Sports sponsorship plays a pivotal role in the financing of professional sports in Indonesia, but the practice raises important questions about economic justice and fairness. This paper examines the economic justice of sports sponsorship, with a focus on how sponsorship deals impact the equitable distribution of resources within the sports industry. It assesses the power dynamics between sponsors, sports organizations, and athletes, analyzing how large sponsorship deals often concentrate resources in elite sports while sidelining grassroots programs and less popular sports. The research explores the ethical considerations surrounding sponsorship, including issues of monopolization, exploitation of athletes, and the commercial pressures placed on sports federations. The paper argues for a more balanced approach to sponsorship, proposing models that ensure fairer financial distribution across all levels of sport and safeguard the interests of athletes and local communities.
