Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Big Book media on the early reading skills of first-grade students at SDN 1 Mekarsari. The research employed a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental Design, specifically the Static Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This study was conducted to address the issue of low early reading skills among students, including difficulties in recognizing letters, spelling, and understanding texts. Before the use of Big Book media, the reading abilities of students in the experimental and control classes were relatively similar. However, after using Big Book media, the students' reading abilities significantly improved. The findings indicate that Big Book media is not only effective in enhancing early reading skills but also increases students' engagement and enthusiasm in learning. With its visually appealing approach, Big Book motivates students and creates an enjoyable learning environment, resulting in more optimal improvements in their reading abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui derajat kesadaran dan derajat keterampilan yang membentuk siswa yang relatif stabil.Salah satu metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah dengan menerapkan metode kuantitatif dengan kategori penelitian berbasis pengalaman dan kategori penelitian pra-eksperimental. Jumlah sampel yang diperlukan untuk penelitian ini adalah sekitar 25 siswa kelas IV. Dengan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes pretest dan posttest dengan jumlah 20 soal per tes serta dengan dokumentasi selama pembelajaran berlangsung di kelas.Hasil analisis uji T menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan film pendek terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai Thitung Ttabel yaitu sebesar 78,728 jika dibandingkan dengan Ttabel 1,708 yang menunjukkan bahwa Thitung adalah lebih besar dari Ttabel. Sebaliknya, sig (2-tailend) menampilkan nilai probabilitas dari uji t sampel independen yang menghasilkan hasil sekitar 0,0001 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dalam pretest dan posttest. Ekstraksi data menggunakan uji t menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan siswa menyimak pada media film pendek Berdasarkan hal tersebut di atas, terdapat korelasi positif antara hasil pretest dan posttest dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05 dan keterampilan menyimak mencapai 95%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media film pendek dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan siswa secara positif.

Abstract

This article aims to provide information regarding community service activities related to efforts to socialize language literacy management in elementary schools. This socialization is a form of language literacy education and counseling for prospective elementary school teacher students with the aim of making them aware of language literacy management in elementary schools. The method used in this activity includes delivering material through lectures and questions and answers. The results achieved in this activity are students' understanding of language literacy in elementary schools which includes the meaning of language literacy, the importance of language literacy. At the end of the article, the author explains aspects of language literacy management that schools need to pay attention to in order to implement the literacy movement in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya penguasaan kokata siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh media flashcard terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design, sample yang diambil yaitu kelas 1A yang berjumlah 15 siswa  dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan penguasaan kosakata siswa yang dilihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata pretest yakni 65,667, mengalami peningkatan pada postest yakni 84,667. Selain itu hasil uji t menunjukkan  ttabel 2,145 lebih kecil dari thitung 5,729. Maka dapat dismpulkan bahwa media flashcard berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar

Abstract

The low critical thinking ability of students needs serious attention. This study aims to determine the effect of ethnolinguistically-based experiential learning models on the essential thinking abilities of PGSD students. The research method used is a pre-experiment with a group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was 6th-semester PGSD students at the Indonesian Education Institute. The sample taken was class 5B, totaling 33 people, with a purposive sample technique. The study yielded an average initial ability value of 79.3 and an increase in the posttest value to 84.18. The results of data analysis showed that the pretest-posttest t value was 0.8 with a probability of 0.00. Therefore, we can conclude that the ethnolinguistic-based experiential learning model influences students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing number of bullying cases in Indonesia, especially in inclusive schools. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenology research type with data processing methods using interviews and observation. The results of this research show that BESTARI Utami elementary school, in an effort to prevent cases of bullying at school, is by carrying out intense communication with students so that students tell them anything that makes their students belittled, communication is also carried out by teachers with parents of students so that teachers are able to know about activities. what students do in the home environment and in the community environment and also teachers are able to know the students' personalities in environments other than the school environment. There are also other efforts such as taking notes when students want permission to leave the classroom during the learning process, then by reporting any incidents that are felt to violate norms in the school environment, both students to teachers and teachers to other teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of digital children’s literature with artificial intelligence (AI)-based illustrations on the material “Being Careful Everywhere” for elementary school students. The material “Being Careful Everywhere” discusses how to protect oneself from danger and accidents in various places such as home, school, streets, or other public areas. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a direct observation approach to classroom learning activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to illustrate students’ responses and the effectiveness of the media used. The results show that digital children’s literature with AI-generated illustrations successfully captures students’ attention, enhances comprehension of the story content, and fosters the character value of caution in daily life. Moreover, the use of this interactive digital medium encourages active student engagement during the learning process. Thus, the implementation of AI-based digital children’s literature can serve as an innovative alternative in elementary language learning that emphasizes digital literacy and character education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Jakasampurna IV dan SDN Bahagia 06 Kota Bekasi dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan kondisi minat baca sastra anak pada siswa kelas IV. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan angket skala Guttman. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 60 siswa kelas IV dari kedua sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat baca sastra anak masih tergolong rendah, dengan 56,7% berada pada kategori rendah, 20% sedang, dan hanya 23,3% tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa belum menjadikan membaca sastra anak sebagai aktivitas yang menyenangkan, melainkan masih dipandang sebagai kewajiban akademik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya peningkatan minat baca melalui penyediaan bahan bacaan sastra anak yang lebih inovatif, menarik, serta mudah diakses, termasuk pemanfaatan media digital berbasis aplikasi.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in utilizing PowerPoint media to improve learning interaction at SDN 03 Mancagahar. The research method used is qualitative with a library research approach. Data were obtained from various sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant articles. Data collection techniques were carried out through content analysis and analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that teachers play an important role as planners, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in the use of PowerPoint media. The use of this media can improve learning interaction, as shown by students' active participation in asking questions, answering questions, expressing opinions, and engaging in discussions. In addition, PowerPoint has advantages in presenting material in an attractive, systematic, and varied way, which can increase students’ learning interest. However, there are several obstacles in its implementation, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as teachers' ability to manage instructional media. Therefore, the use of PowerPoint media can enhance learning interaction if supported by teachers’ creativity and competence in managing the learning process effectively.
