Abstract

Proverb is a word that is often used by people in ancient times until now and is a part of Chinese culture. Proverbs have many elements, namely animals, plants, the human body, numbers, colors, flavors and other elements. Mandarin proverbs are often used by old people in general and become part of their lives. Until now, proverbs are often used in people's lives, both in learning and in daily conversation.However, young people today rarely know about proverbs and use proverbs in their lives. Therefore, the writer chose mandarin proverbs as the object of research. The writer analyzes the meaning of Chinese proverbs using the element of taste, namely the bitter taste element from the Chinese Proverb Dictionary, namely “Xuě Shēng Chéngyǔ Cídiǎn and Hànyǔ chéngyǔ xuéxí cídiǎn ” and the writer collecs 34 proverbs and analyzes the meaning of the 34 proverbs.Through the method of analysis and description, the writer can conclude that among 34 proverbs, 21% of idioms have positive meanings, 12% have negative meanings, and 68% contain meanings from these proverbs.

Abstract

AbstractChinese Internet buzzwords are some words that are popular on the Internet. They gradually enter people's lives and change people's traditional expressions. Chinese Internet buzzwords have the characteristics of modernity, simplicity, high frequency, and intuitiveness. The emergence of Chinese Internet buzzwords is a new thing for learners of Chinese as a foreign language. It has brought many influences in the process of students learning Chinese. In order to understand the cognition of Chinese language online buzzwords by students majoring in Chinese language education at Tanjung Pura University, and to understand the influence of students majoring in Chinese language education at Tanjung Pura University on their interest in learning Chinese, the author consulted relevant information for the future Research as a good foundation. The author uses the test research method, the questionnaire research method and the interview research method to study the students majoring in Chinese language education at Tanjung Pura University. The test research method is about the students' cognition of Chinese Internet buzzwords, while the questionnaire method and interview research method are about the influence of Chinese Internet buzzwords on the interest in learning Chinese. From the survey results, the author found that students fail to recognize Chinese internet buzzwords because the correct rate reached 48.19%. It is easier for students to understand and use intuitive Internet buzzwords, while it is more difficult for students to understand modern Internet buzzwords. In the process of students learning Chinese, Chinese Internet buzzwords have brought a very good influence. Students are very willing to learn Chinese Internet popular words, increase students' interest in learning Chinese, improve their oral Chinese ability, and increase their vocabulary. At the same time, for students, being able to understand the current social dynamics and culture in China can help students increase their circle of friends and generate topics that are unified with the Chinese.KeyWord: Chinese internet buzzwords, Affect, Learning interest

Abstract

AbstractIn learning foreign languages, learning motivation has a very important role and can encourage students in the learning process. Factors of motivation to learn a foreign language can be divided into internal factors and external factors, which include internal factors, namely: interest and initiative. External factors, namely: the value of achievement, use value and teachers. The author conducted this research to find out what factors influence motivation to learn Mandarin in class X students of the Department of Tourism at SMK N I Ketapang. The results of the study state that there are 55% of class X students of the Department of Tourism at SMK N 1 Ketapang who have strong motivation. Viewed from internal factors, motivation to learn Mandarin students of SMKN I Ketapang is strongly influenced by the “initiative” factor. Seen from external factors, motivation to learn Mandarin students of SMK N I Ketapang students is greatly influenced by the factor of “use values”. At the same time the variable X (achievement value,use values,eachers,interests and initiatives) significantly influence motivation to learn Mandarin in class X in the Department of Tourism at SMK N I Ketapang by 70.7%.Keywords: Learning Motivation , External Motivation, Internal Motivation

Abstract

In order to further understand the high school students' mastery of stroke order, the author chose Koperasi high school students as the research object. The purpose is to understand and analyze the students' mastery of the steps of writing Chinese characters. For research purposes, the author used tests and questionnaires to collect data. The data collected shows that write errors are the most common. The reason is that there are too many strokes in Chinese characters, and the error rate is 72.24%, which makes it difficult for students to remember. For high school students learning to write Chinese characters, stroke order is a difficult point. Due to the complexity of stroke order, many students made mistakes in writing Chinese characters and the stroke order was reversed. EachChinese character has its own way of writing, but both strokes and stroke order must conform to the stroke order rules of Chinese characters.

Abstract

AbstractMandarin idioms are fixed phrases used in Mandarin for a long time and the source is abundant. But, there are differences in environment and perspective in Indonesia and China.Therefore, by analyzing idioms containing spring, we learn mandarin while understanding its cultural value. The research takes mandarin idioms containing the Chinese character “春”(read: Chun) as the object of research. The research method used descriptive qualitative. Through the analysis method, the writer can make a conclusion that in terms of its meanings and emotional color, the most emotional color of the Chinese character “春”(read: Chun) mandarin idioms are that it contains praise. From the perspective of cultural values, the Chinese character “春”(read: Chun) mandarin idioms include teaching methods, expressing the customs and conditions of the Spring Festival, enjoying the spring scenery, the love of children for their parents, traditional architectural culture, characteristics between spring and autumn, then etiquette to become a good ruler.Keywords: Chinese Idiom, Cultural Values, Emotional Color , Meaning, Spring

Abstract

AbstractSynonym is words that have the same meaning. In learning Chinese, there are many synonym words for example “tongguo” and “jingguo”.  Althought these two words have the same meaning, they have differences in their usage. Therefore, students who learn Chinese are often incorrect on using these two words. To find out how the conditions of mastery of Chinese Education Study Program FKIP UNTAN batch 2016 students on using the synonym of “tongguo” and “jingguo”, the writer used test method to find out the conditions of mastery of students and analyze the difficultiest of students on using the synonym of “tongguo” and “jingguo”. The results of the study stated that the mastery of students in the synonym word “tongguo” was better than the word “jingguo”. The percentage of correct answers “tongguo”reached 62% while the condition of students mastery of the synonym word “jingguo” only reached 52%.In the analysis of types of difficulties ,the writer realizes that the students mastered well on the use of the word “tongguo” shows success in a matter, while the use of the word “jingguo” shows the process of a thing. And students are not very mastery on the use of the word “tongguo” shows from one end or one point to the other end or one other point, while the use of the word “jingguo” shows passing  from a place.  Keywords: Synonym Word, Tongguo and Jingguo, The Condition of Mastery

Abstract

The phrase structure of “程度副词+有+名词”is frequently used as the means of oral and written communication in human’s daily life. Due to the structure specialty in terms of its meaning and usage, many students might have encountered different types of problems. Thus, the structure of “程度副词+ 有+名词” is often considered as the one of the most difficult structures in Chinese grammar. The aim of this research is to investigate students’ mastery on “ 程度副词+ 有+名词” as well as their difficulties in using this structure.The research participants were the batch 2017 students in Chinese Language Study Program of Tanjungpura University. In order to achieve the research purpose, the researcher used library method and testing method for data collection. The research findings found that students’ average mastery in using “程度副词+有+名词” structure was 61.5%. Meanwhile, the researcher also found students’ difficulties in using the structure. The first one was the difficulty in differentiating “程度副词+有+名词”and “程度副 词+形容词” structures. The second one was the difficulty in finding the appropriate noun for the structure.

Abstract

Abstract“measure word” is one of sentence often using in Mandarin language and it is the important material in the teaching. For example the result of  complement words “ci”, “hui” and “tang” that always used in daily life. Seen from the understanding, they have similarities and differences of the meaning,so that the students make mistake when use them. To know how the mastery and difficulty level of the students Mandarin   education program’s in years 2016 FKIP of  Tanjungpura University.The writer conducted the test using questionnaire method to analyze of the students and the level difficulty using word“ci, hui, tang”. The results of the research show that there are part of the word have been mastered by the studenst and other part they can not mastery them. The correct percentage for the words “ci” is 73.06%, “hui” is 67.08%, “tang” is 62.22%.Keyword : “ci”, “hui” and “tang”, mastery analysis, The action-measure word

Abstract

AbstractDuring the Covid 19 Pandemic. The learning process cannot be carried out at school but online. Online learning refers to teaching and learning environment (virtual classroom). Immanuel II Christian Kindergarten using the Microsoft Teams application in the Online Learning Process. The method used by the author is the method of questionnaires and interviews. While the purpose of this research is to determine the condition and problems that often occur during online learning. Online learning very effective for now because children can still go to school even though online, Based on the questionnaire, the condition of learning Mandarin online reached 64.37%. then online learning also has frequent problems. What happens is that the network consumes a lot of quota or mobile data. By questionnaire problems that often occur reach 72.74%.Keywords: kindergarten, mandarin learning, online learning

Abstract

At present, many schools already have Chinese courses and it has become one of the compulsory courses. In the process of learning Chinese at school, there are certain abilities that must be mastered, such as reading, memorizing words, and understanding the meaning of the text. By reading we gain information and strengthen our comprehension. In practice, it is usually the teacher who gives the student a certain time to read what is to be explained. However, students face some internal and external problems in the process of learning Chinese. In order to improve students' ability to learn Chinese, the author used the mind mapping method to conduct research on the second grade students of Kubu Raya Adi Sucipto High School. The purpose of this research is to improve the comprehension ability of the second grade students of Kubu Raya Adi Sucipto high school in Chinese text by applying the method of mind mapping. There are two types of research methods used, namely pre-test and post-test. This study was conducted from April 19, 2021 to May 17, 2021. According to the predicted results, the average pre-test score was 34%. The post-test results showed that the average score was 84.67%. This proves that the mind mapping method can improve students' ability to understand Chinese texts.
