Abstract

The advancement of mobile devices and their usage has increased the uptake of fintech innovation. These new technologies should provide ease of use and give advantages to their customers. On the other side, mobile application security threats have increased tremendously and have become a great challenge for both users, in this case, as customers, and fintech innovators. Meanwhile, service should be promoted to the customers to establish fintech's brand to society. This research empirically examined the components affecting the expectations of users to adopt fintech. By collecting 100 samples who have already used a couple of brands of Fintech and Sakuku as their payment method, and by utilizing Structural Equation Modeling- Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) as the technique of analysis, the empirical results definitely confirmed that perceived ease of use (PEOU) and promotion positively and significantly affected the customer trust. Meanwhile, security did not significantly affect trust. The finding also implied that in order to increase the fintech adoption rate, customer trust should be built.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ESG score and foreign ownership on financial reporting delay with financial distress as a mediation variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. The population comprises all manufacturing companies listed on the IDX. Purposive sampling method resulted in 23 companies with 115 annual observations. Data analysis employed panel data regression using the Two-Stage Least Squares (TSLS) method to address endogeneity issues. Model selection was conducted through the Chow Test, Hausman Test, and Lagrange Multiplier Test. The results indicate that Equation 1 uses the Common Effect Model (CEM), while Equations 2 and 3 use the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The findings reveal that ESG score has no significant effect on financial distress (p = 0.293 > 0.05) nor on financial reporting delay (p = 0.747 > 0.05). Foreign ownership has no significant effect on financial distress (p = 0.280 > 0.05). Financial distress has no significant effect on financial reporting delay (p = 0.348 > 0.05). Furthermore, financial distress does not mediate the effect of ESG score nor foreign ownership on financial reporting delay. Consequently, all five hypotheses are rejected. The implication is that ESG has not yet become a sufficiently strong factor in influencing corporate financial health in Indonesia. The novelty of this study lies in the use of the Merton Model to measure financial distress and the TSLS method to address endogeneity in the mediation model within the context of Indonesian manufacturing companies.

Abstract

Abstract

Declining and stagnant congregational attendance is a significant challenge faced by many churches in Indonesia, including the Batak Karo Protestant Church (GBKP). This quantitative study aims to analyze the direct influence of five dimensions of church management and leadership, namely planning, organizing, actuating, controlling, and pastoral leadership of the Pastor and Church Council, on the engagement and attendance of GBKP congregations in the Medan Kampung Lalang Classis. Data were collected from 249 respondents across three churches with different demographic contexts (urban, semi-urban, and rural) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results show that all five variables have a significant positive effect on congregational engagement and attendance (H1–H5 supported), with overall path coefficients ranging from 0.177 to 0.258. Pastoral and council leadership (β = 0.258; t = 5.092; p < 0.001) is the most dominant variable, followed by organizing (β = 0.228) and planning (β = 0.212). The model explains 45.3% of the variance in the dependent variable (R² = 0.453). These findings emphasize that the quality of pastoral leadership and systematic church management are key strategic factors in strengthening congregational participation. This study contributes empirical evidence to church management theory and provides practical recommendations for improving the quality of ministry in the GBKP context

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology acceptance on behavioral intentions of healthcare workers in the context of pre-implementation at Primaya UKRIDA Hospital. Although AI offers benefits in improving efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and clinical decision-making, its successful implementation depends on user acceptance. This study uses a quantitative approach with an integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The research variables include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, facilitating conditions, and technology anxiety on behavioral intentions. Data were collected through questionnaires to healthcare workers, namely doctors and nurses. The results showed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, and facilitating conditions had a positive and significant effect on behavioral intentions, while technology anxiety had a negative effect. These findings indicate that perceived usefulness, ease of use, social support, and facility readiness increase AI adoption intentions, while technology anxiety is a barrier. This study emphasizes the importance of human resource readiness through digital literacy, training, and organizational support to support AI implementation in hospitals.
