Abstract

This research aims to discuss the concepts and forms of differences in Arabic in the Koran and to uncover the facts about whether these differences have implications for Arabic language learning in Indonesia. The Arabic language that we study is not only a foreign language but also a noble language due to the language of the Koran. Even though they both use the same language, there are several differences between the Arabic language in the Koran and the one studied. This research used a library research method in a way that collected information and data with the help of various kinds of literature related to the research theme. The results of this research fell into: 1) The language contained in the Qur'an is the same, but the meanings and language used are different because the Qur'an was created so that no one could compare it. 2) Even though the Arabic language in the Koran and learning are different, this is not an obstacle to the language learning process in Indonesia; it will give Arabic its own special features. 3) The existence of differences in Arabic in the Qur'an has positive implications for variations in the word meanings in terms of both synonyms and antonyms; this will provide a richness of language in the application and learning of the language itself.

After teaching for two months, data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews”data analysis using Miles and Huberman's theory, namely reduction, presentation, and drawing reports. The results of the study show that teachers have designed and implemented NPB formative assessments: Jawab kuIS!, مَنْ أَسْرَعْ يَرْجِعْ, KEPO nih!, dan Klik Klik Quizizz which utilizes Instagram, Canva, and Quizizz applications. The student's perspective on this practice is positive, evidenced by students preferring NPB formative assessments to conventional paper-based formative assessments cause for them the assessment is exciting, tend to be enthusiastic about participating in the assessment, and expect formative and summative assessments in the future always to use the NPB model.

Android apps are one of the best language learning tools in this technological age. There are many successful researches in developing the process of teaching the Arabic language through these applications. This paper aims to describe how to set up an Android-based vocabulary learning tool using Kodular website, and measure its suitability for vocabulary learning. The researcher uses the Design Research approach with three steps: analyzing practical problems, developing solutions, and testing and improvements. Through the tests, we find that the level of applicability of the alpha test is 96.3%, and the level of applicability of the expert test is 86%. So we can say that this application is "very decent" to be used in a real education environment.

Abstract

Research on the contribution of Musabaqah Fahmil Qur'an (MFQ) materials to developing critical thinking skills remains limited, particularly regarding its Arabic language questions. This study analyses the role of Arabic questions in the 2022 MFQ guidebook in enhancing the critical thinking skills of university students, focusing on the El-Faqih community at UIN Malang. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through Arabic tests and critical thinking questionnaires based on Angelo's framework. The results reveal that MFQ questions are designed with a scaffolded difficulty level, peaking in the final round. This structure effectively stimulates higher-order thinking skills, such as interpreting, analysing, and evaluating Qur'anic content. The findings confirm that MFQ significantly sharpens critical thinking. Therefore, educators and competition organisers should design questions that promote deeper cognitive engagement. Further research is recommended to explore additional pedagogical strategies to maximise MFQ's critical thinking benefits.
