Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to know the decrease of students' misconceptions by applying the contextual approach in X grade of SMAN 1 Kateman. This research was conducted from September to December 2015 with the research subject X1 class as the experimental class consist of 36 students and X2 class as the control class consist of 36 students. The type of the research was quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The instrument of data collection used in this study was the diagnostic tests, beginning and end misconceptions which consists of 16 objective questions. Based on the analysis of data of control class, the percentage of students who have misconceptions before learning was 69,04% and after learning by using conventional methods was 32,22%. In the experimental class, the percentage of students who have misconceptions before learning was 68,36% and after learning by using the contextual approach was 14.21%. A decrease in the percentage of students who have misconceptions on the control class was 36,82% and the experimental class was 54,15%. It can be concluded that the contextual approach can decrease students' misconceptions in the subject matter of straight motion in X grade of SMAN 1 Kateman.Key Words: contextual approach, misconceptions, straight motion.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aims at determine learning outcome physic students psychomotor skills application Discovery Learning model at class X Seri Rama YLPI senior high school at Pekanbaru using model Discovery Learning at geometrical optics materials. The research was conducted from March 2015 through June 2015 by 38 research subjects at X1 as experimental group and 27 students at Xz as control group in Seri Rama YLPI senior high school at Pekanbaru. This research is a form of pre-experimental design Intact Group comparasion. The research instrument is physic psychomotor skill achievment test arrange of application aspect adaption. Psychomotor skills learning outcomes studied cover aspects of reading tools, measuring angles with a bow, and planned experiments obtained absorption with good category for its effectiveness in class experiments and categorized effective, whereas for the control class obtained absorption with good enough category and for its effectiveness categorized enough effective. The result of the research indicated of 79,9% absorption of learning at good category in experimental group while 63,2% at good enough category in other group. Thereby concluded that the application Discovery Learning model can improve students physic psychomotor skill in class X Seri Rama YLPI senior hihg school at Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this research was to determine the creasing of students' attitudes toward science Physics in class VII4 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru by implementing in learning Index Card Match strategy in heat subject. The research subjects were students of class VII4 totalling 39 people consisting of 15 male students and 24 female students. Data collection instruments in this research a question of students attitudes towards science consisting of 24 items. Analysis of the data in this research is descriptive analysis to see changes in students attitudes toward science and use the gain. From the analysis of the data showed an increase in students attitudes towards science has increased by an average of 0.31. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of physics learning using the Index Card Match strategy can improve students's attitudes toward science in class VII4 SMP 20 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Index Card Match strategy, students's attitudes toward science, heat

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce of IDEAL problem solving model learning devices for problem solving skil in static fluid material that is valid for use. IDEAL problem solving model is expected to make it easier to understand and develop problem solving skil for students. The device consist of a learning implementation plan, student worksheets, and cognitive test. This research and development (R&D) research uses the 4D model. This research is only limited to the development. The results showed that the learning device using the IDEAL problem solving model was declared valid with overall score of the device being 3,50 with very high category. Thus, the IDEAL problem solving is feasible to be used for learning physics on static fluid material.Key Words: Physics Learning Device, IDEAL Problem Solving Model, Static Fluid Material.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning tools developed are learning tools based on theMemorization Learning model for the earth layer material for class VII SMP / MTsn,consisting of RPP, LKPD, and Learning Outcomes Test. The purpose of this research isto produce learning tools based on a valid Memorization Learning model on the earthlayer material. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) with a 4Dmodel design. The research instrument used was the RPP validation assessment sheet,LKPD, and the Learning Outcomes Test which were used by the validator to assess thelearning tools. The data was collected by providing learning tools to the validator to bevalidated using the RPP validation sheet, LKPD and Learning Outcomes Test. Dataanalysis in this study used descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of eachindicator of the learning device. Based on the results of the validity data analysis, theaverage value of the validity of meeting lesson plans 1 was 3.25 with the high category,meeting lesson plans 2 was 3.26 with the high category, meeting lesson plans 3 was3.26, with the high category and meeting lesson plans 4 was 3.32 with high category.The average validity of LKPD 1 was 3,27 with high category and LKPD meeting 1 3,12with high category, LKPD meeting 2 3,15 with high category, LKPD meeting 3 3,12with high category, and LKPD meeting 4 3,28 with the high category. The averagevalidity of the Learning Outcomes Test is 3.00 in the high category, so that the overallaverage of learning tools is 3.17 in the high category. Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of cognitive learning physics students in the teaching and learningcontextual approach in physics education at SMAN 1 Ukui School. The subject matter of effort and energy.The subjects studied were grade science students totaling 19 people, with the number of students 9 men and10 women. Data collection in this research done at the end of the learning process by conducting tests ofcognitive skills. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques include absorbed power, learningeffectiveness, student learning and exhaustiveness learning purposes. Data analysis results showed: theaverage absorbed power is 83.7 % with a good category to the category of effective learning effectiveness.Students studying completeness 94.7 % and 85.7 % completeness of learning goals with comprehensivecategories. Thus, application implementation contextual approach Teaching and Learning ( CTL ) in thesubject matter of effort and energy effectively used to study physics at SMAN 1 Ukui.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the practicality of physics constructivist modules in the dynamics of rotation and rigid body balance using ADDIE’s model. The module practicality stages are: preparation, research introduction, practicality testing, filling out questionnaires, analyzing and conclusions, revising, and practical. There are 25 students and one physics teacher who asked using a questionnaire with 5 practical indicators, namely: efficiency, presentation of module material, ease of use, conformity with science, and implementation of constructive elements. The results of module practicality testing data analysis showed that the module efficiency level was 65.83 with the practical category, the module presentation rate was 90.16 with a very practical category, the module's ease of use was 86.08 with a very practical category, the degree of conformity with the science was 95,0 with a very practical category, and the level of implementation of constructive elements is 88.8 with a very practical category. Overall, the practicality of constructivist physics learning modules is 85.17 with a very practical category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the constructivist physics learning module of rotational dynamics and rigid body balance is declared practical to be used as a source of learning for high school physics students.

Abstract

The purpose of this training activity is to train the elementary school teachers in Inuman Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency to developing an integrated  instrument component (IIC) natural science based on nature around. Teachers are trained to operate the Integrated Instrument Components natural science elementary shool that has been developed. The target audience is elementary school teachers in Inuman SubDistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency and who attended this event came from public and private elementary school representatives with 29 participants from 12 schools. Method of activity is the presentation of materials, modeling, training and simulation /discussion. Evaluation carried out from the beginning of the activity, during the implementation and the end of activities with questionnaires, observations and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively. The result of data analysis obtained by the average of the performance of 89% participants in very good category, so also the participant response about this service activity equal to 97,5% in very good category. The conclusion of the results of this training activities of elementary school teachers in the Inuman Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency has the knowledge and able to implemeting in developing an integrated  instrument component simple natural science based on nature around for natural science learning in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of of physics-based learning lesson study with multirepresentation on Basic Physics course I. The subjects of the study are the first level students as much as 42 people divided into 2 classes, namely experimental and control class. The data completion instrument is a skill test consisting of 5 items about the essay. Data analysis is descriptive analysis to see the picture of result learn student process skill by using absorption criterion, learning efficiency, and mastery learning at presenter and postest. The data analysis showed that the average absorption rate of the class was 9.28% with the less favorable category in pretest experimental class at posttest 17.78% less good and 9,30% with less good category for control class at pretest and 17,18% With less good category, while the quality of less effective learning with 0% percentage in the experimental class and 0% for the control class in the category of less effective, student's 0% complete student completeness and incomplete start in pretest experimental class and 4.76% unfinished postest, and 0% at pretest with unfinished category, 14.29% also incomplete for postest control class, and 0% completeness of subject matter and unfinished acceptance in experiment class and 0% unfinished in control class Pretest and postest Thus, it can be concluded by using the programming language used for learning English on Basic Physics course I on the mater I collision and momentum.

Abstract

 The still low understanding of the concept of students in vocational schools in learning physics, due to the lack of innovative learning, so it needs innovation such as a reciprocal teaching model that implements four independent understanding strategies, namely summarizing the material, compiling questions, explaining, and predicting. The purpose of this research was to determine the improve in understanding of students' concepts in the class applying the reciprocal teaching model with conventional classes at Vocational High School (SMK) Abdurrab Pekanbaru. The population in this research were 130 students spread over five classes and samples were taken by simple random sampling, so that 2 classes of samples were obtained with 52 students. The research instrument was in the form of concept comprehension test questions consisting of pretest and posttest. The Test  in the form of multiple choice reasoned with 4 choices totaling 15 items. The instruments are arranged according to the category of understanding the concepts of translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. Data collection techniques in the form of scores on the concept understanding results obtained from the pretest and posttest scores. The data is processed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that students of class X SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru in optical material learning, had a difference in increased understanding of concepts. The average score of concept understanding after the implementation of learning in the experimental class was 82.44 with a high category, while the control class was 59.68 with a low category. To that end, the implementation of the reciprocal teaching learning model, is able to better enhance the understanding of physics concepts in optics learning for students in class X SMK Abdurab Pekanbaru.
