Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students on the material of religious diversity in Indonesia and the minimal use of innovative and interactive learning media. This condition has an impact on students' less than optimal understanding of the material. The purpose of this study is to develop Pop Up Book learning media based on the Example Non Example model to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN Burengan 1, Kediri City. The development model used is ADDIE which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection instruments include media and material expert validation questionnaires, student and teacher practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis techniques are carried out to measure the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the media. The results of the study show that (1) the validity of the media based on the assessment of media experts is 88% and material experts is 91%, so it is categorized as very valid; (2) the practicality of the media based on teacher responses is 97% and students is 98%, indicating that the media is very practical; and (3) the effectiveness of the media based on the results of the students' post-test in the limited test reached an average of 86, and the extensive trial reached an average of 90, which shows that the media is very effective. The Pop Up Book media based on Example Non Example is stated to be very valid, very practical, and very effective to be applied in learning the material on religious diversity.

Abstract

In fourth-grade science instruction at Tarokan 3 Elementary School, teachers do not use instructional media and still rely on teacher and student textbooks as teaching aids. This makes students less active in learning about energy transformations. Based on observations and interviews, only 15 of 40 students achieved the minimum grade point average (KKTP) (75). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the "Big Book" instructional media in increasing students' interest in reading. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects were 40 fourth-grade students, with data collected through observation, interviews, and tests. The instructional media were tested on both a limited and a broad scale. The results of the limited trial showed a completion rate of 100%, and the broad trial showed a completion rate of 100%. These results indicate that the "Big Book" learning media is very effective in improving student learning outcomes, exceeding the KKTP score, and can be used without the need for improvement.

Abstract

This study was motivated by observations at SDN Sukorame 2 Kediri, which showed low student learning outcomes in the subject of changes in the form of matter and minimal use of interesting and interactive learning media. These conditions had an impact on low student enthusiasm and understanding in learning. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia based on a website using Interactive PowerPoint (Popin) on the subject of changes in the form of matter in the 4th grade IPAS subject at SDN Sukorame 2 Kediri. The research method used is R&D with the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The research instruments include a questionnaire for expert validation of material and media, a questionnaire on practicality for teachers and students, and an effectiveness test. Data analysis is used to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the product. The results of the study show that the interactive multimedia developed was considered highly valid by media experts 93% and subject matter experts 89.1%. The practicality test was considered very practical with a score of 87.4% from teachers and 100% from students. The effectiveness test was considered effective based on classical learning completeness reaching 76%. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of Interactive PowerPoint (Popin) into a website platform so that the media can be accessed without additional applications and provides a more dynamic and flexible learning experience for students. These findings contribute to the development of learning technology that is easy for educators to use but still effective in improving conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IV di SDN VII Sugihwaras mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi pecahan senilai yang disebabkan oleh keterbatasan media pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil observasi. Selain itu, hasil wawancara dengan guru menunjukkan bahwa siswa cenderung kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dan lebih tertarik pada media berbasis teknologi serta permainan. Hal ini diperkuat oleh nilai rata-rata 31 siswa sebesar 70,4 yang masih berada di bawah Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) yang ditetapkan, yaitu 75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan multimedia interaktif pada materi pecahan senilai berbasis Construct 2 untuk siswa kelas IV SDN VII Sugihwaras. Metode yang digunakan adalah R&D dengan model pengembangan Plomp yang meliputi tahap preliminary investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation and revision, serta implementation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori sangat valid (91,4%), sangat praktis (89,06% pada uji awal dan 90,11% pada uji akhir), serta efektif berdasarkan hasil skor tes evaluasi siswa (85 pada uji awal dan 85,65 pada uji akhir). Dengan demikian, multimedia interaktif berbasis Construct 2 layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The low level of students’ understanding of Tulungagung local culture indicates the need for learning media that are contextual, engaging, and relevant to the learning experiences of elementary school students. This study aims to develop Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)-based LOCAWITA multimedia and to test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving understanding of Tulungagung local culture among Grade V elementary school students. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 30 Grade V students of SDN 2 Sukorejo Wetan. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and local culture understanding tests through pretest and posttest. The results showed that LOCAWITA multimedia obtained a validity level of 92%, categorized as very valid. The practicality of the media was indicated by teacher responses of 96% and student responses of 90%, categorized as very practical. The students’ average score increased from 60.83 in the pretest to 89.58 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant increase in local culture understanding after the use of the media. The conclusion of this study affirms that CTL-based LOCAWITA multimedia is declared valid, practical, and effective for improving understanding of Tulungagung local culture among Grade V elementary school students. These findings imply the use of CTL-based multimedia as an alternative contextual learning medium that supports the preservation of local culture in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low understanding of three-dimensional geometry due to the abstract nature of the material and the limited use of learning media that provide concrete learning experiences. The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effectiveness of a Smart Box learning media based on the ethnomathematics of Tegowangi Temple for fifth-grade elementary school students. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 12 students in the limited trial and 27 students in the field trial at SDN Sukorame 2, Kediri City. The research instruments included material and media validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest questions. The results showed that the developed media achieved a very high level of validity, with material expert validation reaching 100% and media expert validation reaching 90.5%. The practicality of the media was also categorized as very practical, with teacher responses of 97.6%, limited trial responses of 95.8%, and field trial responses of 97.4%. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by an N-Gain score of 0.86 in the high category and a Wilcoxon test result of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the Tegowangi Temple Ethnomathematics-Based Smart Box was proven to be valid, practical, and effective as a learning medium for teaching three-dimensional geometry in elementary schools.

Abstract

Although learning Pancasila values has become an important part of elementary education, studies that specifically develop Student-Centered Learning-based instructional media to help students understand and apply Pancasila values in daily life remain limited. In addition, the use of learning resources that are still dominated by textbooks and simple media has resulted in suboptimal student engagement in the learning process. This study aims to develop Student-Centered Learning-based Sequence Cards media that are valid, practical, and effective in teaching Pancasila values to fifth-grade elementary school students. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study involved 28 fifth-grade students of SDN Mrican 2 in the limited trial and 29 fifth-grade students of SDN Mrican 1 in the wider trial. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests, and were then analyzed using Aiken’s V index, percentages of teacher and student responses, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the Sequence Cards media met the validity criteria based on expert validation results. The practicality of the media was in the very practical category, with a teacher response percentage of 100% and a student response percentage of 96%. The effectiveness of the media was indicated by an N-Gain score of 0.76 in the limited trial and 0.81 in the wider trial, both of which were in the high category. These findings contribute to the development of innovative Student-Centered Learning-based instructional media in Pancasila Education learning at the elementary school level. The conclusion of this study affirms that Sequence Cards media are feasible for use in increasing students’ active engagement and understanding of Pancasila values. The implications of this study provide alternative instructional media for teachers in creating more interactive, contextual, and student-centered learning, while also opening opportunities for further research on different materials and educational levels.

Abstract

Although visual learning media and the Discovery Learning model have been widely used in elementary school science learning, the development of an illustrated mini-encyclopedia integrated with Discovery Learning on animal life cycle material remains limited. This study aims to develop a Discovery Learning-based illustrated mini-encyclopedia on animal life cycle material and to evaluate its level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. This study used a research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study involved 29 third-grade students of SDN Mrican 2, consisting of 6 students in the limited trial and 23 students in the field trial. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests, and were then analyzed using descriptive percentages and N-Gain. The results showed that the illustrated mini-encyclopedia developed obtained a validity score of 84.40%, categorized as highly valid. Product practicality was indicated by a teacher response of 96%, student responses in the limited trial of 91.6%, and student responses in the field trial of 91.73%, all of which were categorized as highly practical. The product was also proven effective in improving students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by classical learning mastery of 100% and an N-Gain score of 0.75, categorized as high. These findings confirm that the integration of visual learning media with Discovery Learning can increase student engagement and learning outcomes in elementary school science learning. The implications of this study contribute to the development of Discovery Learning-based learning media and serve as a practical reference for teachers and schools in implementing innovative science learning resources.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan baca tulis siswa kelas tinggi di SD Negeri Tarokan 3 melalui program bimbingan literasi yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa PGSD peserta Campus On Duty (COD). Program ini diawali dengan identifikasi kebutuhan melalui wawancara dengan wali kelas 4, 5, dan 6 untuk menentukan siswa yang mengalami kesulitan literasi dasar. Sebanyak 10 siswa ditetapkan sebagai sasaran pendampingan. Pelaksanaan bimbingan dilakukan selama dua bulan dengan metode pendekatan individual dan kelompok kecil, meliputi latihan membaca bertahap, penulisan huruf, kata, dan kalimat, serta pemanfaatan media pembelajaran buku BATARA (Baca Tulis Anak Ceria). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa, seperti ketepatan pelafalan dan kelancaran membaca, serta peningkatan kemampuan menulis, terutama dari segi kerapian dan penyusunan kalimat. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam mendukung penguatan literasi dasar dan memberikan dampak positif bagi sekolah.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kediri dalam mengembangkan perangkat dan media pembelajaran berbasis deep learning dengan dukungan artificial intelligence (AI). Pendampingan dilakukan sebagai respons terhadap kebutuhan guru dalam menghadapi transformasi pembelajaran di era digital, khususnya dalam pemanfaatan teknologi cerdas secara pedagogis dan etis. Metode pelaksanaan PKM meliputi pelatihan, pendampingan berbasis praktik, diskusi, serta penugasan pengembangan perangkat ajar digital. Subjek kegiatan terdiri atas guru sekolah dasar yang mengikuti program pendampingan secara langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa program PKM memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan perangkat serta media pembelajaran digital berbasis AI. Tingkat kepuasan peserta tergolong sangat tinggi, dengan mayoritas peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Selain itu, sebagian besar peserta menyatakan kesiapan untuk menerapkan perangkat ajar hasil pendampingan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan guru dalam pengembangan perangkat dan media pembelajaran berbasis deep learning dengan dukungan AI efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru sekolah dasar. Program ini direkomendasikan untuk dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan guna mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan adaptasi pendidikan dasar terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital.
