Abstract

The study addresses the challenges students face in understanding the human skeletal system and the need for innovative learning media. The research aimed to analyze the needs of students and teachers while evaluating the potential of Augmented Reality (AR) cards as a teaching tool. Conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa, Gorontalo Regency, the study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through observations, interviews, and student needs surveys. Findings revealed a strong interest among teachers in adopting AR-based media and high enthusiasm among students, with 84.2% recognizing its importance and 94.2% owning compatible devices. The results highlight the necessity for print-based learning media integrated with AR technology to deliver three-dimensional and realistic visualizations. This approach effectively bridges theoretical concepts and interactive representations, addressing comprehension challenges. The study concludes that AR-integrated learning tools have significant potential to enhance engagement and understanding in biology education, emphasizing the importance of their development and implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of independence, accountability and objectivity on audit quality at the BPK Representative Office of South Sulawesi. The data in this study were obtained from auditors who worked at the Office of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of South Sulawesi Province who were willing to be respondents. This study uses primary data by conducting direct research in the field by giving questionnaires/code sheets to 54 respondents. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that Independence, Accountability and Objectivity have a positive and significant effect on audit quality. Keywords: Independence, Accountability, Objectivity, Audit

Abstract

One of the functions of a village website is as an effective promotional tool to introduce the village's local potential to the wider community. Tourism potential, MSME products and local cultural riches can be promoted through interesting and informative content on the website. Websites allow villages to market their uniqueness, both to city residents and the international community. In villages, especially in Kayubulan village, Gorontalo Province, they do not yet have a village website. For this reason, we carry out community service activities in order to realize website-based village digitalization in Kayubulan village, Batudaa Pantai District, Gorontalo Regency as an information and promotional medium. This activity was carried out on Saturday 14 September 2024 at the Kayubulan village office hall, Batudaa Pantai District, Gorontalo Regency. The method of this service activity is demonstration and launching. Demonstrations are carried out for website development training. Websites are created by purchasing a domain and hosting at rumahweb with a term of 1 year. After the website was ready to be used, material was provided regarding how to develop a village website as a medium for information and promotion and the final session was to launch the website. Participants who attended the activity were village government officials and local communities. This activity consists of 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and reflection stage. The activity ran smoothly and the activity participants were very enthusiastic during the activity process. This service activity provides insight for participants regarding the development and use of websites as information and promotional media. A website can be developed and utilized as well as possible by the Kayubulan village government as a medium for information and promotion as well as services to the community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Constructivist Teaching Sequence (CTS) learning model supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media on cell concept material. The main focus is to evaluate the extent to which each stage in the syntax of the CTS model can be implemented properly during the learning process. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a learning implementation observation instrument. The research subjects were 25 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The results showed that the exploration, restructuring, and evaluation stages were optimally implemented with percentages reaching 100%, 97%, and 100%, respectively. The introduction stage is at 80%, while the application of new concepts still needs to be improved with 70% implementation. The overall average of learning implementation reached 89%, which is included in the excellent category. This finding indicates that the AR-assisted CTS model is very feasible to be applied to support students' active involvement and concept understanding.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a storybook based on Heyzine Flipbook as an interactive learning medium to increase students' awareness of environmental pollution in coastal areas. The research was carried out in class X1 of SMA Negeri 2 Tilamuta using the ADDIE development method which includes analysis, design and development stages. Digital storybooks are developed by integrating attractive illustrations, animations and interactive displays that are easily accessible via various electronic devices. The validation results by media and materials experts show that the storybook meets the valid criteria with an average score of 80% to 100%. The practicality test was carried out through a questionnaire given to teachers and students. The results show that teachers gave an average rating of 96% and students gave an average rating of 97%, both in the very practical category. In addition, the implementation of learning during the two meetings showed an implementation level of 100% for all aspects observed, including opening, main, closing activities, class atmosphere, and time management. Teacher and student responses show that this storybook is able to increase interest, understanding and active involvement in the learning process. Thus, storybooks based on Heyzine Flipbook have proven to be effective and suitable for use as innovative learning media to foster environmental awareness in students. This product also supports strengthening the character of Pancasila students, especially in the aspects of caring for the environment and critical thinking.

Abstract

Students' difficulties in understanding the concept of classification of living things, especially in grouping living things according to taxonomic levels and remembering scientific names, are the background to this study. Biology learning that tends to be teacher-centered and lacks direct interaction results in low student involvement in the scientific process. This study aims to develop and test the validity of Student Worksheets (LKPD) integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) technology based on the Inquiry Learning model as an interactive media to improve students' science process skills. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, limited to the development stage. LKPD was developed based on a needs analysis at Wira Bhakti Gorontalo Integrated High School. Data were obtained through interviews with teachers and validation by media experts and material experts, which were analyzed descriptively quantitatively using a Likert scale. The validation results showed an average value of 86% (media) and 93% (material), both of which are included in the very valid category. Revisions were made based on validator input to improve visual aspects, content, and instructions for use. Thus, this LKPD is declared very valid and suitable for use as a learning medium to support students' science process skills in understanding the classification of living things.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities needed by students to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to describe the validity of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based questions developed to train students' critical thinking skills. This research used a developmental research model (ADDIE) model. The parameter measured was the product's validity level, consisting of HOTS-based questions, using a validation instrument involving two validators: a material expert and a learning device expert. The subjects in this study were 11th-grade high school students. The questions were developed in essay format and presented through the digital platform Quizizz as a learning evaluation medium. The validation results showed that the questions fell into the appropriate to very appropriate category, with a percentage range of 62.50% - 81.25% for the material aspect, and 81.25% - 100% for the learning device aspect. Thus, the developed HOTS-based questions are deemed appropriate for use in learning evaluation activities and have the potential to support the development of students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The learning module of human circulatory system based on Constructivist Teaching Sequence (CTS) assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) was developed to improve students' understanding of the concept of human circulatory system. This study aims to determine the validity of the developed learning module. This research is a Research and Development (RD) using the Generic Design Research Model. The instrument used in this research is a module validity sheet assessed by material and media experts. The validation results showed that material validation obtained an average value of 93%, while media validation obtained an average value of 88%, and the module is declared feasible and can be used in learning at school.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity and practicality of developing digital comics regarding human excretory systems for class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa. This research is classified as development research using the 4D model, with trials on 20 students in class XI – A SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa. The results of the research show that: (1) The validity test of digital comic media based on percentages obtained a score of 96.35% (Very valid), and the material validity test based on percentages obtained a score of 97.91% (Very valid), (2) The practicality test consisted of from the implementation of learning, student responses and teacher responses. The learning implementation test at the first meeting to the second meeting based on percentage obtained a score of 87.5 (Very good), the student response test based on percentage obtained a score of 86.50 (Very good), and the teacher response test based on percentage obtained a score of 96.87% ( Practical).

Abstract

This study is an experimental study aimed at determining the use of crossword puzzle media in enhancing student learning outcomes in the learning material of the human respiratory system for class XI IPA 3 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. This study employed a descriptive statistical quantitative method using a one-group design pre-test and post-test. The population consisted of class XI IPA 3 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo, totaling 30 students. Data collection techniques included interview and tests. The findings are as follows: based on the data analysis, it is evident thet there is an enhancement in student learning outcomes for class XI IPA 3 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. Furtheremore, based on the descriptive study, it indicates that the average student learning outcomes before the use of crossword puzzles media. Moreover, based on statistical analysis of student learning outcomes, it obtains a t-count value of 0,027 with a significant level of 0,05, hence 0,027 > 0,05. This shows that there is a significant difference between student learning aoutcomes before and after the use of crossword puzzle media in class XI IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo.
