Abstract

Abstract: Teacher professionalism is a crucial aspect in realizing quality education. The literature review indicates that teacher professionalism can be influenced by compensation and academic supervision. This study aims to prove: (1) the effect of compensation on the professionalism of non-ASN teachers in elementary schools in Astanaanyar Subdistrict, Bandung, and (2) the effect of academic supervision on the professionalism of non-ASN teachers in elementary schools in Astanaanyar Subdistrict, Bandung. Utilizing a case study type quantitative approach, a closed statement type questionnaire with a Likert scale model - was chosen as the data collection technique. This study successfully obtained responses from 127 participants who were designated as the research sample. The data analysis model used path analysis with AMOS software version 26 as a supporting tool. The results showed: (1) There is an influence of compensation on the professionalism of non-ASN teachers in elementary schools in Astanaanyar Subdistrict, Bandung (2) There is an influence of academic supervision on the professionalism of non-ASN teachers in elementary schools in Astanaanyar Subdistrict, Bandung. Taking into account the results of the study, to improve teacher professionalism in Indonesia, which is known not to have reached the expected level, we recommend the effective management of the compensation system through the determination of sanctions, and adequate academic supervision management so that academic supervision is guaranteed to function effectively. These findings can be interpreted in the context of other countries that are also implementing decentralized education systems. Finally, the discovery of other factors that may have implications for teacher professionalism is recommended as further research. Tinjauan literatur mengindikasikan, bahwa profesionalisme guru dapat dipengaruhi oleh kompensasi dan supervisi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan: (1) Adanya pengaruh kompensasi terhadap profesionalisme guru non-ASN pada sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Astanaanyar, Bandung, dan (2) Adanya pengaruh supervisi akademik terhadap profesionalisme guru non-ASN pada sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Astanaanyar, Bandung. Memanfaatkan pendekatan kuantitatif tipe studi kasus, kuesioner tipe pernyataan tertutup dengan model skala Likert – dipilih sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini berhasil memperoleh respon dari 127 partisipan yang ditetapkan sebagai sample penelitian. Model analisis data menggunakan path analysis dengan softwere AMOS versi 26 sebagai alat pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Adanya pengaruh kompensasi terhadap profesionalisme guru non-ASN pada Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Astanaanyar, Bandung (2) Adanya pengaruh supervisi akademik terhadap profesionalisme guru non-ASN pada Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Astanaanyar, Bandung. Dengan mempertimbangkan hasil penelitian, untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di Indonesia – yang diketahui belum mencapai level sesuai harapan, kami merekomendasikan efektivitas pengelolaan sistem kompensasi melalui penentuan sanksi, dan manajemen supervisi akademik yang memadai agar supervisi akademik terjamin berfungsi efektif. Temuan ini dapat diinterpretasikan ke dalam konteks negara lain yang turut menerapkan sistem desentralisasi pendidikan. Terakhir, upaya penemuan terhadap faktor-faktor lain yang dapat berimplikasi pada profesionalisme guru, sangat direkomendasikan sebagai penelitian lanjutan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di SMP se-Kecamatan Linggo Sari Baganti. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini yaitu: (1) bagaimana proses pembelajaran selama masa pandemi Covid-19 dan pasca pandemi mereda? (2) bagaimana bentuk kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat dalam proses pembelajaran pada masa pandemi Covid-19? (3) bagaimana efektivitas kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat pada masa pandemi Covid-19? (4) bagaimana hasil kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran pada masa pandemi Covid-19? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan mutu pembelajaran di SMP se-Kecamatan Linggo Sari Baganti sebagai hasil dari kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat. Efektivitas kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran dilihat  dari indikator: (1) kejelasan tujuan; (2) perencanaan; (3) pelakasanaan; (3) pengawasan dan pengendalian; dan (4) hasil kerja sama sekolah dan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of a Special Job Exchange (Bursa Kerja Khusus - BKK) information system service on the employment rate of graduates from Al-Manshuriyah Vocational High School (SMK). This research based on the quality of information services as the main influencing indicator overall benefits to workforce distribution institutions such as BKK in vocational schools. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, the study surveyed 162 respondents, including school staff, recent alumni, and current students. Findings revealed a significant positive correlation between the quality of the information system services provided by BKK and the successful job placement of graduates. Statistical analysis using SPSS showed a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.300, indicating a low yet positive relationship. Additionally, regression analysis confirmed that 5.3% of the variance in job placement success could be attributed to the quality of the information system services. These results underscore the importance of robust information system services in enhancing the operational efficiency of BKK and improving graduate employment outcomes. The study suggests further development and enhancement of these services to attract more company partnerships and diversify job opportunities for graduates.

Abstract

Based on the data analyzed, the Independent Curriculum has gained significant scholarly attention, with a rapid increase in publications from 2022 to 2024, particularly focusing on its application in primary education, personalized learning, and culturally contextualized teaching practices such as Islamic education. Key contributors to this research are concentrated in Indonesian public universities, with some international collaboration, highlighting the curriculum's national relevance. The thematic clusters identified in the analysis reveal strong trends in project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and cultural preservation, demonstrating the curriculum's versatility and adaptability across different educational levels and contexts. However, gaps remain in long-term outcome studies, equitable access to personalized learning, and broader cultural implementation, providing opportunities for future research to address these critical areas. This research indicates that several themes regarding the Independent Curriculum still warrant exploration, including studies on the implementation and outcomes of the curriculum across various levels of education, examinations of personalized and differentiated instruction within the curriculum, and investigations into the cultural and contextual adaptation of the Independent Curriculum. Addressing these areas will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the curriculum's impact and effectiveness in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

Abstract: This study investigates the implementation strategies of digital-based supervision to improve the quality of education at SMP Negeri 2 Bireuen, Aceh Province, using a qualitative research approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis related to the implementation of digital supervision in schools. The findings indicate that the application of digital-based supervision has positively impacted the quality of education at SMP Negeri 2 Bireuen. The use of technology in supervision has enabled education supervisors to gather data more quickly and accurately, facilitate more timely feedback to teachers, and enhance transparency and accountability in the evaluation process. This has encouraged teachers to innovate in their teaching approaches, contributing to improved student learning outcomes. The implications of this study suggest that the implementation of digital-based supervision can serve as an effective model for other schools in efforts to enhance education quality. However, adequate training and education for educators and supervisors are necessary to maximize the benefits of this supervisory technology. Additionally, attention must be paid to data security and privacy aspects to ensure safe and ethical use. Thus, the implementation strategies of digital-based supervision have the potential to serve as a tool for improving education quality in the future. Abstract

Elementary schools play an important role in developing students' understanding and skills. Therefore, the transformation of elementary schools is very important to produce a critical, creative and innovative generation capable of facing the challenges of the 21st century. The purpose of this research is to determine the application of 4C skills (Critical Thinking Skills, Creativity and Innovation Skills, Communication Skills, Collaboration Skills) in teachers' teaching in 21st century learning at SD Negeri Serang 20. The research method uses qualitative methods by conducting structured interviews. The target respondents were all 10 teachers of SD Negeri Serang 20. The results of the research show that the respondents have integrated 4C skills into the curriculum and daily learning activities.

Abstract

School management is the most basic part of education management. The application of education management in school organizations is a nationally applicable education system component. This study aims to analyze how to detect school management diseases so that health or prevention efforts can be identified. The chosen research method is descriptive in the form of research and development. The research subjects were school principals, teachers, and administration. The school categories were selected from public and private junior high schools. The data collection instrument was developed as a questionnaire instrument to test the correctness and suitability of health indicators in the organization of school resources by practitioners in schools. Based on the results of the calculation of the Weight Mean Score (WMS) as a whole, the dimensions are included in the very healthy category with an average score of 3.42, and when converted on a scale of 1-100, the resulting score is 85.48. From these data, it can be concluded that Public and Private Junior High Schools are ready to organize school resources so that these school organizations can remain disease-free.

Abstract

This paper examines the factors that contribute towards enhancing Labor productivity. The research method employed was quantitative, with it employing a survey-based methodology. The study’s population comprised 78 participants including principal, teachers, and staffs in Catholic private schools under Sibolga diocese. Proportional random sampling was used to select a sample of people. A questionnaire was designed in order to collect data, with this passing the validity and reliability tests and meeting the necessary characteristics for a good instrument. Smart PLS 3.0 was employed to evaluate the gathered data. Four components to consider to be human resources management practices including human resources planning, job analysis, recruitment, and selection.  The study found a positive relationship between human resources management and school productivity.

Abstract

To identify training needs for early childhood education teachers in technology integration is essential to improve learning quality. This study aims twofold: first, to analyze the training needs for early childhood education teachers in the use of technology, and second, to design a TPACK model-based training program that can assist teachers in improving the quality of learning. The present study employed a mixed methods approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Data were collected through a Training Needs Survey (TNS) and subsequently analyzed utilizing SPSS. The results indicated a substantial competency discrepancy, with an average score of 39.12, falling short of the ideal score of 53. The analysis revealed that teachers continue to encounter various obstacles, including a deficiency in the development of digital teaching materials, constraints in the utilization of hardware and software, and a paucity of experience in employing interactive learning applications. These findings underscore the necessity for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK)-based training to facilitate effective integration of technology in the learning process. The TPACK model enables educators not only to acquire technological mastery but also to utilize it to enhance children's interaction and engagement in the learning process. The implications offer insight for policymakers, educators, and training institutions in designing more effective training programs to improve the quality of early childhood education in the Karangpawitan Subdistrict of Garut Regency.
